Good morning guys,
I was wondering if everyone now have to write a motivation letter during their interview (both Bsc and masters)?
Also do you have to write it in the embassy or take the along with you?
Finally how long does it have to be and to whom do you address it to the embassy in Germany of the consulate here in Nigeria?
Also, any other general information regarding SOP would be truely appreciated.
Thank you
You can take it along.
Address it to the embassy in which the the interview is conducted.

Good Day, I want to start applications this week for university of koln and university of munster for information system, the schools said if you study in English, u can send a document from ur bsc university to show you studied in English(how do I go about this) and can I go to high court to stamp d documents I want to send to the schools? Both schools don't use uni assist
The letter is just a short note from your school stating your program was conducted in English language and the official language in your country is English.

Both high court and embassy is Ok for notarization.

You can send both document to me in germany so I help u in splitting it and sending it to both schools.(It saves you some cost|)

Hello gurus, please I need an urgent response. God bless you abundantly.

I just filed two applications for winter 2017 via Uniassist.
M.Sc in power Engineering at BTU cottbus Seftenberg and M.Sc in Electrical engineering at the University of Magdeburg... Studied Electrical,/Electronics Engineering and graduated with a CGPA of 3.84/5. What's now left is to pay the €90 to uniassist and send the notarized copies of the documents I submitted. The two schools and the courses are taught in English. I wrote TOEFL and scored 81. German is not mentioned as a requirement, however, I plan to start the course In May. I have about 12 documents I wish to attach and I would like to go to the German Embassy in Lagos... So I mentioned in my application my plan to attend the course from May.

Is it too late to send in an application through uniassist at this time? I have 4weeks to meet up with the schools deadline,.
Will the embassy require any money or the German language course certificate before stamping my documents?
I am currently in Benin city,.. Can I just stamp the documents in a high court? Does it matter? Which option is preferable?

If everything goes well, I should send out the documents via UPS on Wednesday 3rd May and also pay the €90 while waiting for them to receive the documents.

Please I need your candid suggestions..
God bless you as I anticipate your response.
How can you start the course in may, when you are still in nigeria without visa....is it an online programme?

High court is accepted by uni assist.

You can only apply for winter semester.....summer is gone.

Hello Nigermans,
I intend to apply for a M.Eng/M.Sc Civil Engineering admission at a couple of German universities. I should have applied earlier but have been trying to save up to N8m to avoid stories that touch. So far I have about N4m. I know the German university search sites recommend a total of about E8000 for a year bla bla bla undecided. But as an original Naija guy wey know wetin him dey find, I'm not interested in flamboyance and excesses. I wish to cut all unnecessary spending. So, I need to know if I can make do with N4m for four semesters (for all expense) otherwise what figure can I consider. of course I intend to work while studying. I also need to know what amount the authorities want to see as financial capacity proof. Abeg make una epp a brother.
With the 8700euro required by the authorities and your plan to work while studying u will be fine.

Expenses here depends on alot of factor e.g Location of the school, lifestyle etc...

Germany is 100X better than those countries u made mention. Remember in Canada, after paying tuition fees of maybe 8-10k$CAD u still have to show proof of living expenses of 10k$CAD coupled upon the fact that you could be denied visa while applying. Please tell me if German bank or the embassy would tell u the €8000 u re to pay is meant for them or you. Try and be considerate a bit and if deutsch policies don't seem reasonable to you why not try ur so called UK,US and Canada after years of being denied and spending your hand earned naira. Next pls

But seriously it's not that easy to raise 4M. Tuition free. Tuition free. Is it not the same thing as schooling in UK or Canada with that same 4M. This Germans just be using brain.. tuition free and one still have to raise 4M.
If canada is better you can follow that path.....no need to come and be whining people here.

1) what are the chances of getting a decent, even fairly decent job after school?
2) Is Germany a place where I can settle down with my family if my husband is coming with me?
3) What about visa applications, do i have to obtain admission first?
4) is there anything else i need to know, pls help
5) also, how to i fill a portion of my form that says average grades and ECTA , under achievements. I had a 3.8 CGPA
1) learn the language and everything will comes handy.
2)You are legally permitted to bring your family (spouse, kids) here and they can join you.Your husband can work here full time while your kids are enrol in free schools.
3)for visa application, admission letter first, block account/sponsorship letter then student visa interview ofcouse the interview can be conducted without evidence of substainance. But the visa wont be granted without it.
4)its not easy anyway....you have to pay your dues so dont come here and expect miracle.
5) convert your Nigeria grade to the german equivalent.

A short letter on your university letter headed paper is enough....you can also apply to schools which does not require
English language competency certificate.

Then what of while applying at the local Resident’s Registration Office or “Einwohnermeldeamt” for resident permit after arrival. Can the guarantor's Form still serve as means of subsistence then or other proof of finances would be required by then?

Bro I am in the same shoes with the guy that asked that question. You said some people you know have used guarantors, can you kindly link me with those ppl or their guarantors, danke
My home boy used guarrantor and I know alot of people who use it.

If you have any question post it here so other group member can learn from it.

Have been to the auslanderbehorde several times to pick up the sponsorship letter with the sponsor and most of the time u need only three month payslip, admission letter, datapage of your passport before they make there decision and issue the letter.

The embassy also accept scan copy of the letter incase theres any delay due to logistik in sending it from germany to nigeria before your interview date..so when u eventually recieve the letter u can drop it at the embassy.

If you have any question ask here so that others can learn from it.

If its confidential contact experience group member by sending Pm.

schöne tag noch.

Hi guys, I have a few questions to ask.
1.) Can u get admitted for an msc in germany without certifying your documents?
2.) how do I pay an application fee for an msc course?
Please do well to answer!!! Thanks
1) most of the schools wont return original documents sent to them, hence they insist on certified copies.

You can pay from nigeria directly or contact someone here who can help with the payment while you give him the naira equivalent.

An european was talking about poverty and he was pointing at me using africa (naija prescisely) as example, I kept calm.

Another topic about human right abuse, he started again and all the white guys in my class was just looking at me being the only black guy there.

So I knew something is going to happen, then he refer Mention Naija as a Country known for fraud and massive killing then I asked him about world war (A.d.o.l.f H i tl..er), then he was surprised.. I packed my folder and leave the class, that was the end of the lecture as some of my friends follows....The matter was later resolved.

IT student (40k)....they are mostly at the bulk room recieving cash from customers and also helps at the customer service desk and sorting cash for ATM...these is the highest pay for IT student in the banking sector.

Contract Staff (80+) they are mostly recruited by a company called ICSL (partially owned by a gtb topshot) they mostly placed at the front desk paying cash and handling cheques etc...these guys here receive alot of thank you sir (free gift) from customers in appreciation of there service.some contract staff are converted inti full staff subject to other requirements.

Executive Trainee ( Direct recruitment/Training school 209k+) these are mostly few in the most naija banks and they act as supervisor to the front desk teller guys and other various unit of the bank like marketing (dreaded unit) etc....promotion and sack depends mostly on appraisal....speaking from Experience.
