starmehigh: Op what are you saying .. you think that Chinese manufacturers will not develop another mobile OS together and replace Facebook and Google with another alternative, Google is even useless in China, WhatsApp too.. US can't beat China You said IN CHINA... is china the world? your clearly suggested that their influence is restricted to their country lol. |

Dongreat: Please guys let's ignore every tribalist in this forum and not reply their tribalism with tribalism but with silence. Trust me that's the way we can beat tribalist.
I know it hurts insulting your lineage but PLEASE IGNORE THEM IGNORE THEM and watch as our silence kill them inside and drive them mad.
They may end up creating more monicker to reply themselves, still IGNORE and in the end OUR COLLECTIVE SILENCE will make a fool of them.
Every sane and educated person, please copy and paste along your text on Nairaland let everybody see it and let's KILL CYBER TRIBALISM.
Thanks for cooperating.
That responsibility solely rest on the owner of this forum. Since he has decided not to ban all spreaders of such nonsense, thereby enabling an impending war, he should be ready to forget the complete existence of nairaland for good... I will take it up myself to see to the total collapse of this forum. I believe by then, we will all have peace of mind... the hate is spreading too fast and this man just sit there thinking nothing will happen. what he benefits from it is what I do not know. Just last week, a facebook friend narrated how his client was denied renting an apartment because he is igbo and a yoruba man owns the building... if that is not heartbreaking, tell me what else is. The landlord might be a nairalander and has seen that igbos are always attacking his people and vise versa... The only solution is a total melt down... the one he experienced in 2014 will be a childs play since he does not want to do anything about it... take that to the bank. I have made my point clear and he can ban me for 100 years. |

Are these really manufacturing or parts assemblage? To the best of my knowledge Nigeria does not have the capacity to MANUFACTURE any car, they one Assemble. FACT!
We should stop abusing the word abeg. No Nigerian company manufacture any car.. from Innoson to Proforce. Na assemblage all dey do.

sinkhole: The worst part of this is that another huge sum of money will be voted for the reconstruction of that road without finding out exactly what is the problem that led to the collapse of the road and again when raining season starts next year the road will still collapse and the circle continues Africa, I SMH The problem is even visible in that pic and i know they will address it. |

BlackAfrican: The famous Muslim cleric and a principal figure in the Tijjaniyya sect, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi has called on the federal government not to give the Igbo’s the biafra nation, rather sit them on the same table along other ethnic nationalities to chart ways out for the economic prospect and peaceful coexistence of a united Nigeria.
Knowing full well that 95% will not read the full article but just the headline, why do we wickedly and deliberately choose to sensationalize a news piece by giving it a misleading headline? This country wrecks of evil. Google "Click Bait" that is the reason. We are drawn by bizzare news and headlines by human nature and the press had to capitalize on that. |

alignacademy: How is "Payment on Delivery" the best for customers?
If you're like most Nigerians, you must have ordered from Amazon or AliExpress.
These guys will calmly take your money upfront while you wait patiently for your order.
If we can pay and wait for our goods from distant lands to arrive on schedule, then we can also pay and wait for our goods from here.
I see trust as the key issue.
And again let's make life easy for our delivery men. They need to get home alive. The Issue here is that Konga and Co need to build their TRUST badge. |

oheni: love is beautiful tin story... when a man gives you excess, you do what the biiitcch in the narrative do... i don't mean you though but it i the way girls have been programmed. Giving them excess attention, love and all that makes them abuse a man. The ones who say it is a lie are those who have not been privileged to experience it. |

Billyonaire: I am surprised you werent prepared. The moment GEJ called to concede, I altered plans and reviewed projects to align with planning in a failed economy with double digit inflation. How can a Primary 5 certificate holder (at least we are sure of this certificate) run an economy of a country ? He didnt attend any training or further education after 1985. Are Nigerians really crazy to think miracles happen ? Hell No, it is magic that happens. Its called planning and execution.
Buhari should take 3 yrs medical leave with fully paid salaries, but should steer clear Aso Rock for now, if na salary be him problem, make him take am, let someone else make the price of tomatoes affordable to the poor. That is atleast a language he can understand. Cos when we say, where is the Economic Blueprint ? The man go think say na Blue printing paper. hmmmmmm... quite revealing. |

happney65: I used laterite to fill up my land and level it up after the Foundation..It now goes for 17,000 per truck and i bought 5 trucks.Excluding the Price for Labour which was over 50K for filling. However i do not support using it for building...It does not look good enough to me jare.. People in developed worlds use it, they also use woods to build houses. Are they stupid for using such or is Nigeria much richer than them? The problem I feel we have here is that we do not have good hands that know how bring out the beauty of red bricks. |
Properties › Re: Building Your House: The Alternative Technology Route by fxbot: 8:01am On Feb 22, 2017 |
laudate: It is time to revive this thread again. Now that price of cement has gone up, everyone is looking for alternatives. Someone posted this remark recently, on another thread.
I want to know if this chap's estimate of 5 million will cover the building of a 3-bedroom bungalow using stabilised laterite bricks. Where is Godspikin, please?
mynd44, lalasticlala can we move this to the front page? We need ideas on alternative building materials. It is very possible, very very possible. BUT there don't seem to be much experience people who know how to building using red brick. I have always nursed the idea of using red bricks to build house at 50% cut off on current concrete blocks. A lot of our old houses were built using mud, including story buildings that are still in existence today. You wouldn't know they are mud houses except they tell you. But why would Nigerian neglect using it just shows the sickening bandwagon mentality that has eating us all. Most of the things we do is BECAUSE other people are doing it, not because it is right or because we BENEFIT any visible thing. Most people use Toyota because it is very common as lot and lots of other Nigerians are using it. Do you know that Nissan is cheaper and as rugged as Toyota, even Volks Passat? When I look at the westerner we like to imitate for every damn thing, come and see what they magically do with red bricks. Search the internet and beautiful houses built using red bricks but here we like to feel pompous. |
