The above is mainly for writers ONLY |
Hello, I just laid my hands one a book from a pro freelancer. The difference between this guy and others is that he does not like bidding for work at places like Upwork.com or freelancer and he make hefty monthly paycheck. I had to buy the book because really some jobs at content mills are laughable with pitiable pay after huge work. If you will like to have this book as a writer, please I can only sell to a few persons and will stop after I recoup my investment. It's not cheap. I also have access to over 100 sites that pay $50 and above for 1000-1500 article. Before anyone here crucify me (an art the average Nigerian is very good at), note I am trying to help and I can as well keep quiet about it while the information is silently making me money because to be sincere, the big freelance earners are not found at Upwork or freelancer. They have their way around it which I had been wondering how for awhile and that was why I bought this guide. If anyone is interested, just send me a PM. 5 persons is enough and I wont go beyond that number in order not to spoil things. cost is 3k. |

We watch those romance scenes on TV, read novels that mesmerize us and make us begin to imagine things that the real world does not offer us. That is the dent in the image of the entertainment world--They project a mirage into our subconscious . I wasn't really keen on starting a relationship with anyone but considering peer pressure was a force in my growing days, I was almost considered a misfit, a gay and weird being, majorly due to my reluctance to start dating. Yes, I had cases where I was asked if I were gay but I didn't think much of it. And finally, I decided to take a plunge in and give it a shot, without any protective gear. Did I slam my head against the wall? I couldn’t count how many times that did happen. So what were the mistakes I made in my course of dating that you can avoid? 1. Trusting too quickly—Trust is a pivotal element on which a relationship is balanced on. Unfortunately, the other person isn’t you and they don’t reason like you. Therefore trusting too quickly is synonymous to opening your door in the dead of the night when arm robbers can come in to cart away with your valuables. We are all from different background. Which means our values in life are very different. In most cases, I take trust seriously but the other party would be the opposite. As time went by, I had to adopt the ” look before you leap” strategy. It wasn’t easy but as they say, experience is the best teacher. 2. Wanting to Please Them Often—we ought to love whomever we are with because that is our basic responsibility to keep the relationship alive. However, I made the mistake of saying yes to requests, even at my own detriment. People do not value things that they get so easily. That’s a life lesson that I have learned over time. Therefore, saying yes to your girlfriend all the time or to your boyfriend might make you appear like an under-valued goods in the market. It’s that simple, really. Never please any one at your own detriment 3. Calling All Too Often-- Yes, I love to call and till date I still make calls to friends but over the course of my dating life, the rate of my calls to whomever I am dating has been drastically reduced. These days, I spend my time trying to push myself hard enough to get desired future. I think basically in the past, my consistent calls were due to the fact that I had the time. Also, I was never appreciated for the doing so. Communication is very essential in a relationship when viable measures are in place. It’s never a bad idea to create vacuum once a while. 4. Being Too Nice: My close associates know me to be very nice person and they do appreciate me for that but how come those I dated didn’t appreciate me for whom I am? There has to be some strict measures in place so as not come off as a “use and dump” goods. Being nice is good, at least for the world to be a better place, but that is ONLY if the right person comes along. Otherwise, you are just wasting time trying to please someone who doesn’t feel any need to reciprocate. 5. Starting a Relationship With Money—Sincerely, this was one of my greatest undoing and till date I have put a complete stop to it. If you start your relationship with money, you may never stop and by the time things start going unfavourable, you knee deep already to want to stop; by then, you would want to spend more because you can’t imagine not losing your “investment” lol. It gets really messy over time. Therefore, never start any relationship by spending money, a mutual ground isn’t bad idea is it? Good! These five mistakes were what could be termed as my greatest ; it is best you don’t make them to keep your heart healthy… Heartbreak is nightmare, seriously! Avoid, though unavoidable, it at all cost! http://www.hookupcity.com/5-relationship-mistakes-i-made-in-my-llife-no-5-is-over-my-dead-body/ |

Blogging, a word we have heard countless times, and sometimes translated to be a medium for making people rich like a personal ATM in your hand. While that may be viable means of making money, the truth has often been hidden from a lot of green hands who desire to make a career from blogging. Think about it—how many blogs are out there and how many are truly making REAL money from it? If such thought ever crossed your mind, then you should be wondering why the case is such pitiable despite the promises of untold wealth lying behind blogging prospects. Over the years, I have noticed an increasing desire to start a blog but sadly, many of these blog owners are starting on the wrong foot. It will be prudent if I tell you that blogging is a career, a job and a system. Failure to perceive it in this light means a dead-on-arrival venture. Therefore, I will be discussing “The Truth about Blogging” below. 1. All for The Money: Money is good for our daily activities. It is to life what blood is to the human body. Our world is money-driven and I can’t deny that fact. But chasing money out rightly without a clearly defined purpose will lead to failure. Nigeria’s richest blogging queen (Linda Ikeji) said she never made any money from her blog in 4 years. To her at that time, blog was her pet project or a hobby per se. I will also add that many of the greatest achievers the world all over didn’t make money their priority when they started, which they never failed to voice out when they are being interviewed. If they didn’t do it for money, what were they doing it for? This bring us to the next point which is 2. Passion: If we carry out a survey among many bloggers on the web, one thing that we shall find out is certainly a lot of them are into blogging just for the MONEY but have no passion for what they blog on. Your blog will die faster when you don’t have a passion for topic you chose. Does this sound familiar you? Does it ring a bell? I bet it does. How can you come up with content, a very important element for running a successful blog, if you don’t have a passion? It’s best to blog about what you love. Do you love to talk about Chelsea football club? Blog about it. Do you love to talk about latest musical videos? Blog on it. What about politics? Please blog about it. Do you love talking about parenting? Please be my guide as I hope be father someday. It all boils down to what you are comfortable to talk about without losing steams. But passion alone can’t give you the needed money. How do I mean? I personally love to talk about building a successful internet business and offering advices based on my experiences as you can see from this content. 3. Unprofitable Niche: Yes, passion is an important factor but can it really make you money? I would say that depends on the angle we are looking at it from. If you have passion for making noise and disturbing the neighbourhood, it will mostly be viewed as an unproductive venture except you turn it into a cash generator. How? Offer your voice for advertising on radio. So you see? I have seen blog owners blog on things which people are rarely interested in let alone would want to spend any money on. One way to know a profitable niche is to see what companies are advertising. No company will spend money if they hadn’t done their research properly and a proven research means a working system has been found. While that may be a way to get started, I should add that it would be a highly competitive niche to begin with. So, what should you do? Target a sub-niche, something related to the main niche. Let me explain what I mean. I was at the filling station some days ago and I noticed a fuel attendant would wipe the windscreen of customers and they do this for FREE to their customers. One can easily coin a business model out of this by targeting other filling stations, for instance, and help to wipe windscreens. That’s what a sub-niche does to one’s business. 4. No System: Let’s face it! The human body is a system, no organ works independent of the other. That is why humans are smart beings. They (the organs) all work together to make the body carry out its basic daily functions. Do you think most of the big blogs out there did it without a system in place? We have list building system, monetizing system, feeds system, traffic system and so on. A system is a tool of team players on your blog. 5. No Brand: What comes to your mind when you see MTN displayed somewhere? What do you think when you hear CNN? Do you have any picture in mind when your see iPhone? What about Amazon? One thing is common and likely related to the answers you may have to these questions—an image is quickly created in your mind at the mention of these brands—QUALITY services! Yes, that’s what great brands do. They offer quality services. Therefore, when you create a brand, make sure you are creating quality contents that offers value to your reader. This can only be achieved, like I explain in a few bullets above, if you have passion. On the internet, content is king and only those who offer quality content standout with loyal readership! In order to succeed as a blogger, you have to put in place those elements that makes a blog thick. Remember that you are dealing with humans and the ecosystem we live in require that we RELATE with one another. My relationship with you is dependent on my system, my brand (trust), my passion and so on. In a place where any of these are non-existent, you would consider me to be a very boring and uninteresting person to relate with. Therefore, I would lose your friendship if you can have a better replacement of me in someone else—That’s how blogs are perceived! School 1: One of the schools requested to meet me in person. I had my bath and made sure I looked good in tightly fitted white tshirt, black jeans and my rarely worn leather shoe. I arrived the school premises and the owner of the school asked me for my address, where I stayed previously. He also asked me if I was doing anything else. I replied NO because I just came in the previous week. He asked if I had called other schools and my reply to that was affirmative. He seemed impressed by my determination and without wasting much time beyond 10 minutes, he handed me to blank A4 paper to write a detailed report of the cost involved for the design. After that, he gave me a book to register my purpose of visit and date, like every organization out there. While writing, I saw where people had submitted application letters as well but my case was the reverse. I signed, thanked him and moved out. Aside the above, what l learned is that most times people need solutions; they have been nurturing it but they do not know where to get that solution in order to solve that problem or are just too busy to get it done such that they often forget. The owner of school 1 had the intention of getting the design for his school done but didn’t know where to turn to. When I called, it was like a miracle to an answered prayer from heaven. He didn’t fail to mention it while we discussed. Remember I said there is a design company at the far right end of my junction, on a major road and opposite one of the biggest churches in Nigeria. If that was the case, why didn’t this man contact them? I guess being proactive does more because you might be waiting for clients to come while on the other hand, client may have other things pull his/her attention away–a reminder to bring their needs to their consciousness isn’t bad, is it? School 2: On my way to school 1, I saw that School 2 was a stone throw from school 1, at least their sign post was very visible. So after I was done at school 1, I branched off to school 2. I met with the owner of the school, a matured woman. Note: She didn’t ask me to come but during our phone conversation, I requested for an email to send details for the design job, a proposal maybe. She promised to send me the email ID but I waited till next morning and nothing happened. By morning of same day, just before I called school 1, I called school 2 and she abruptly ended the call. I felt maybe she thinks I am a scammer by virtue of our medium of communication and no physical contact. That was why I branched off to her school to present myself physically and dispel whatever negative sentiment she may be nurturing in mind. I was impressively well presentable in my outfit. She explained that she is a very busy person. Also, when I called a day before meeting her, I asked if she would want a design and her reply was that someone had promised to get it done but hasn’t said anything about it. Immediately I heard that, I seized the opportunity for myself and the rest, as they say, is history. School 3: I wouldn’t want to talk about school 3 in order not to make this post too lengthy and eventually turn off readers but I can say I sealed it as well. By end of first week, I had 98k profit from 3 schools. The aim was to make it as affordable as possible so that I can get things running fast. There are 2 pending design jobs and all were done using open source software while I get paid. According to a close source (like our NAIJA journalist would say) there are over 1000 schools in this city and it’s not even the capital of the state. What will happen should I move to the capital? But I have a much bigger plan which will eventually lead me to the capital of the state. If I can close 98k profit in first week making designs with an open source software, what is possible by following week if I work harder and remember I haven’t called about half of the number that I collected. The reason for not calling all at once was to ensure efficiency and not delay on job. Imagine a case wherein I have about 7-10 jobs. How can I deliver effectively and as a client, you wouldn’t want a delay on your job, would you? You wouldn’t want to recommend me to another person if your project was badly handled. I take my personality very serious but at the same time, I do not over do it in order not to appear desperate which would decrease my value. What will shock you is that I am not even pro when it comes to this kind of designs but I used technology at my disposal plus thinking outside the box. Step one: Get Contacts Step two: Practice Your Phone Pitch, Know how to present yourself on phone. Failure to do this means you are just Step Three: Meet with clients Step Four: Use open source software to do the design Step Five: Get paid. Step Six: The possibilities of this method is endless Step Seven Training is available for Interested persons with same phone script I used. Contact Me! Making money and much money is easy if we can think outside the box, leverage on technology and get the job done. It was a great day and I got talking to a friend about an idea that no one is currently using to make good money (maybe some are not using). Because it was very foreign to her, guess what she told me? Like a typical Nigerian that she is, her words were : ” that can’t happen in Nigeria. it won’t work” I said, oh yeah. I looked around me and I knew that I had to leave my current environment into where I can expand the potentials of this idea. This further pushed me to move into another state entirely. I traveled down to western part of the country (we have a family house there so accommodation was sorted out) and immediately I arrived, by next day I surveyed the environment and I noticed that there were so MANY schools around. The competition among these schools is neck-breaking and aggressively fierce. Every environment has what they are known for as characteristic and culture of its inhabitants. In my previous state( I can’t mention it in order not to breed tribal war among readers), each spot occupied by schools in my new environment is where you will find churches– there are more churches than schools wherein you find at least 2-3 churches per street. At that point, I had to agree that people of Western Nigeria value education so much as it widely spoken. ![]() Hmmmm… what could I do with what I am seeing around me? I recalled instantly what I read in one of those books about businesses filling needs. What needs of these schools can I fill? Instantly, I had a idea to use a simple open source software to make designs, one that is so easy to use such that churning out designs with a simple click of the mouse would make it a breeze . EUREKA!What did I do next? I went around collecting phone numbers of these schools. There were so many banners and sign post/ billboard. I walked almost 1km on foot and picking numbers from one junction to the other. At some places, people were suspicious of my lurking and came near to find out what and why I was writing, majorly for security reasons. Being the ever smiling person that I am, I would explain so they could leave. I went on until I had about 15 schools to contact. I had to stop before I miss my way or get “kidnapped” like Olufalaye because I am new to the area ![]() This was done at weekend and by start of a new week, after practicing my phone sale pitch on how to speak on phone to clients (This is very important because I do not want to appear unprofessional or like a scammer considering it’s unsolicited calls), I started calling the schools and offering to make design for them using the simple open source software. It may surprise you to know that there is design company at the far right end of my junction with big banner announcing to the public. I do not have an office. I worked from home. Among the names I called, I got as much as 4 NO and 3 YES. One thing that I shockingly discovered was that while collecting the numbers, I had much hope on bigger schools and less on smaller schools. But I was wrong like the lady I talked about at the opening of this post. Most of the YES I got were from much small schools. Maybe the bigger schools felt that they were established already and therefore, they do not need a design. In life, never assume until you have tried. Assumption is a killer! To Be Continued |
