I've made it clear there is only one God or Supreme Being or Supreme Deity, call Him whatever you like it's still the same personality, ok!
Then there are deities or gods which many pray to in order to take their request to God, The Deity, The Supreme Being, The Almighty, etc etc.
Who I serve or pray to is not important here cos I'm not trying to convert anyone, I'm only of the opinion that there is a spiritual realm and I'm ready to take on anyone who thinks otherwise.

And if u say u are not a skeptic or an atheist then we are on the same page, the challenge goes to those who claim there is no God or no spirit realm; I'm talking about those who believe that all there is to this world are the physical things we see and feel.

2) Why is planet earth the only habitable planet?

3) Despite the invention of such powerful telescopes as the Hubble Space Telescope and the James Web Telescope (these are telescopes able to see galaxies and lights that are millions of light years away), why have we not discovered extraterrestrial intelligence?

4) Why is it that we hear of evolution but we have never experienced it since the emergence of man on planet earth?

5) The earth is so carefully located that planet Jupiter protects us from all the massive asteroids from outer space, the distance btw the earth and the sun is just perfect to give moderate heat, the moon is perfectly located to create the tides which is essential for sea life and also creates the necessary gravitational pull that keeps us from being drawn into the sun by the gravitational pull of the sun. And some 'smart' dude thinks all these are mere coincidences?

Answer these then we can take it from there.[/b]

There is no such thing as Gods, but there are gods or deities. Deities or gods are the things people consider holy, which they revere and in some cases they pray to in order to act as a link btw them (the pple) and God or the Deity.

Yes many people call on the name of “God” but all these God’s are not in harmony with each other i.e. a Muslim does not adhere to the trinity although the authority they address and submit to has the same title as the Christian “God”.

There are many interpretations of God as you have rightly said thus is it still the same God governing all these believers but with different aliases? Are these Gods not in opposition to one another? The fundamental thing "religious people" have in common is that they believe in a God not necessarily the same God.

People pay obesisance or like you said “commune” with their individual rendering of God and if that like you have implied should be enough to validate the existence of a God then by that criteria there are multiple Gods. Hence my question.

Which makes me wonder . . .if there is "one true God" . . .which "one" out of the vast population of these higher beings is the legitimate God?

You see, we'll keep going in circles if we stay on the subject of God and at the end of the day we'll achieve nothing. God is a spirit and whatever means people choose to reach God is not important here, what is important is the big picture which is the fact that the spirit realm exists.
So I'd say we restrict this to the existence of the spirit realm.

I'm not comfortable with a Christian brother coming out in public to claim or try to show himself as better than another Christian brother , such sows seed of division in the Body of Christ.
I even find it more annoying and disappointing when an atheist is the one making it happen. Why would a Christian allow an atheist play him like a video game?
It's not right trying to impress men, as Christians our focus shld only be on God.

In Chrisitian terms, GOD the Father, GOD the Son and GOD the Holy Ghost, are these deities also?

A deity is any divine being or holy being. Whatever u consider holy can be said to be a deity.

And to your question abt God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Where u missed it is that you are trying to see God as a person or image that we can point at and say, yes this is God. But it's not like that, God is a Spirit and do you understand how Spirit functions? Do u expect a spirit to function like a physical being? Dont apply the laws that apply to the physical being to the spiritual being cos they just wont hold. So God is all three at the same time, and pls dont say itz not possible cos God is a Spirit not a physical being.

Look how long it took for Europe to stop persecuting 'witches', for example.

The "natural course of events" isn't dictated by who you think is reasonable.

My dear, the issue btw Jews and Arabs has absolutely nothing to do with Europe; the problem btw Sunnis and Shiites has no European influence whatsoever.
And if u say natural course of event takes eternity, then u are actually unknowingly aligning wt my position that Bishop's curse is responsible for the eventual demise of BH in our lifetime.

@PA1982, pls make no mistakes about it, I'm not here to claim his prophetic powers are from God neither am I saying they are not; all I'm saying is he's got prophetic powers just like some other prophets in time past. And if anybody does not believe n the existence of such powers then the person can be termed an atheist who does not believe in the spiritual realm. And I'd be glad to lecture such a person on the existence of the spirit realm.

I have lived in different parts of the world and in the far east alone I've lived in China, Macau, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. So I have mingled with all these different people and I can tell u they dont believe in the idea of many Gods - not even in India.
It's just like saying there are hundreds of Gods in south west Nigeria cos of the likes of Sango, Ogun, Obatala, Osun, etc etc. Having many deities is not the same as believing in many Gods, those things you call gods are the things they call the means/pathways to God, dont confuse these things bro.

The crisis btw Israel and Palestine has been raging for how many decades and it's yet to follow your "natural course of events", the animosity and spate of violence btw Sunni and Shiite Muslims has been on for how many centuries and yet to follow your "natural course of events", the hatred and state of violence btw Jews and Arabs have been on for how many millennia and yet to follwo your "natural course of events", etc etc.

Certain things are simply spiritual and dont follow the natural course of events. You need to be spiritually inclined to understand and decipher the things of the spirit though.

Again what is truth? I guess truth is whatever makes logical sense to you.

I have extensively studied Philosophy for several years and at the end of it all I came to the conclusion that there is definitely a God cos there are way too many holes that just cannot be filled.
I'm able to prove the existence of God even without making reference to the Bible and by using the tools of science and philosophy.

I've read the posts on the threads and I must say I find most of the submissions rather funny and not well thought through. A much better job could have been done to prove to the atheists that there definitely is a God even if they cant see Him.

[b]This issue reminds me of the medieval scientists, geographers and astronomers who said the sun rotates round the earth or those you said the sun is the centre of the universe just becos they were unable to see beyond our sun at the time.
There is the story of a man who once said there is no part of the world that had not been discovered, only for adventurers to discover many more islands and continents much later.
There is also the famous story of a scientist who once declared that everything that can be invented had been invented, yet so many new inventions sprang up even after his death.

What am I driving at? So many clowns come up to declare there is no God simply becos they have not been able to see Him, feel Him or even commune with Him. So is that enough to claim there is no God?
What about those who commune with God on a regular basis, why can't the non-believers accept there is a God (even if they dont want to serve Him) by virtue of the fact that some other pple are able to commune with Him
I've never been to space - and may never will - but I believe the things we are told by those who have been there, even though I've never seen those things with my own eyes.

Anyone who thinks he knows everything knows nothing at all. Claiming there is no God is claiming to have full and total knowledge of everything, and that is pure foolishness.[/b]
