Christistruth03:Don't mind the mumu propagandists. How can Benin people settle in a place and give the place a Yoruba name such as Isalẹ Eko? The propagandists no even get sense. Awori itself is a Yoruba name meaning 'The plate sank'. The name was derived from the history of the settlement itself. A group that travelled from ife were told by divination to follow a stream with a plate floating on it. They were asked to settle at any point where the plate sinks. The plate sank at Isalẹ Eko, and the people named themselves Awori. |
Brendaniel:A few Yorubas did something wrong, and the Yoruba umbrella body condemned the action. How can that be a Yoruba thing? Igbos staged a coup that killed only none Igbos. The coup was not condemned by any Igbo group. How can it not be an Igbo coup? How do you even reason? Did you go to school at all? |
Brendaniel:Because it killed all other tribes except Igbos. |

Abeg go sit down! Even your uploaded screenshot said some elements in Lagos. A few none consequential elements o. You need to tell me how those guys represent all Yorubas even when Afenifere, the Yoruba umbrella body denounced the attacks according to your screenshot. You guys should work on your victim mentality and your unhealthy generalizations. Very illogical stereotyping o. |
Brendaniel:Which Yorubas singled you out. Care to name them? |

. How does an event in a tiny settlement in far away Lagos equate to Igbos being hated in the entire Yorubaland? Care to answer? |
Brendaniel:Go and ask those who attacked Igbos. Did I attack Igbos? Where exactly did the Yorubas attack Igbos? They attacked Igbos in all Yorubaland? Give me proof! |
Brendaniel:But you're the liar. You couldn't produce any proof that I supported what was done in Lagos. You went and brought a comment where I injected your hypocrisy tag. Bring me proof that i lied. You were the liar who lied that Yorubas hated Igbos, yet you couldn't produce any evidence of hatred that encompasses all Yoruba states. |
Brendaniel:I did not.justufy anything. What i.opposed for your hypocrisy tag. |
Uchesis:You're not the one to tell us what to do. If we call out the northerners, what will they do to us? The culprits are in our custody. The northerners are not opposing their prosecution. So, rest! |
Brendaniel:I am not justifying anything! Why are you trying to twist the whole matter. You accused Yorubas of hating Igbos, and I told you we don't. You referenced what happened in Lagos, and I told you it was not based on hatred but on territorial defense. You said we must attack northerners who plotted a coup because we attacked Igbos, and I told you the situation is not the same. I asked you that the situation was a Lagos thing and has nothing to do with the rest of the Yorubas. And that Igbos are not hated as presumed. Where did I justify any violence against Igbos? Can you point to me where I said an attack against Igbos was good? Are you not the one saying we must attack the northerners? So, an attack against the northerners is good but the one against Igbos is bad. Hypocrite. |
Brendaniel:Why should we attack the northerners when they very perpetrators have been. Arrested and are facing justice? Are we animals? This was your statement below:What hypocrisy is there in preventing the excesses of a tribe? If there were coup plotters who attempt to take over Lagos, and the perpetrators were arrested as done in this coup issue, no one would attack anybody. You cannot even see the vast disimilarity in the two scenarios you're jumbling together. |
Brendaniel:It is a clandestine move. An ongoing battle which you all know about. You have started saying you built Lagos. You said Lagos is no man's land. You even installed Obi of Lagos. Do you know what Obi of Lagos mean? If you have installed Obi Ndigbo of Lagos, it would have been better. But Obi of Lagos? To rival Oba of Lagos? It's a joke taken too far.
|
Brendaniel:You guys have been claiming Lagos is no man's land. Is that a lie? You wanted to install Rhodes as governor because he's your kinsman isn't it? The aim was to take over Lagos through politics. Yorubas see wise and can see far ahead of you. If Yorubas indeed hate Igbos, can you show me evidence of attacks against Igbos in Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti and Kwara States, and even Kogi State? Or Lagos is where Yorubas can be found and therefore whatever Yorubas do there is a generalization for all Yorubas? You guys suck. |
Brendaniel:You guys are something else! You wanted to take over Lagos in the last election by installing your kind, and the Yorubas there stood against it. You now come online to wail that Yorubas everywhere hate Igbos. Meanwhile, the Lagos Yorubas themselves don't hate Igbos. They just defended their territory. You cannot point to any evidence of hatred. Just allegations. |
Brendaniel:I am Yoruba, and I do not hate Igbos. I do not attack Igbos. No Yoruba around me does that. There's no Yoruba meeting anywhere in the works where Igbos are discussed to be hated or attacked! You do not have any evidence of your allegations. Just the same victim mentality you have been known for. The newspapers didn't post any evidence. Just allegations, allegations and allegations. |
Uchesis:Abeg, you need to go and collect your refund from all the schools you ever claimed to attend! First, point out where I said it's not a coup, or where I said I cannot tag the occurence as a coup. Once you point out those two, I will commend your teachers. Faiiure to do so will make me regard you as someone needing urgent medical attention. |
Brendaniel:You're the ones living with a victim mentality. Oluomo does not represent the Yorubas, and you didn't provide any evidence of him attacking Igbos. All are allegations. No evidence. |
Brendaniel:He was only accused! Just the same way you're accusing him here. I was you to give me a verified source where he was either seen attacking Igbos or where he made direct verbal threats against Igbos. You guys have a victim mentality that you're supposed to work on. |
sailor2011:We prevented it. The actors are now in hot soup! We're waiting to do justice to them. Why should anyone complain about the coup anymore? Wise men don't talk because of what would have happened. They talk about what has happened. You guys suck. |
Brendaniel:Why would anyone talk about a coup that didn't happen, and one in which the perpetrators are already in hot soup. Is MC Oluomo a representative of all Yorubas? Tell me where MC Oluomo specifically threatened Igbos. We talk about the Igbo coup because the Igbos did kill people! |
Uchesis:How many people were killed who are not of mothern extraction? It seems you guys don't even know how to analyse issues and draw logical conclusions. The Igbo coup killed everyone except Igbos. Now tell me how the coup stacks in similarity. |
Brendaniel:Who is attacking Igbos in Lagos? Why are you people always carrying your victim mentality around the world? I guess Soludo is also attacking Igbos in Anambra? May God have mercy on you. We talked about an Igbo coup because Igbos killed people from other tribes and spared their fellow Igbos! Tell me how this coup has killed people from other tribes and spared only northerners. You think we don't have sense and only talk for nothing? |
Brendaniel:Why should we attack anyone? How many people did the coup plotters kill? We have them rounded up and we're going to mete out necessary justice on them. So, why do you expect us to be shouting here and there on a coup that didn't succeed? How do you guys even reason? |
VeeVeeMyLuv:Abeg, cost of living increased because the CBN no longer subsidizes the exchange rate. Which country grows by subsidizing exchange rates and petrol while leaving the Treasury poor with degrading national infrastructure? Is that life? Today, the exchange rate is balancing itself. Currently around 1,400 to the dollar, the naira is improving. Investors are gradually favoring the country. The foreign reserve has improved. All global economic watchdogs give us commendable economic analysis. All without subsidizing anything. Roads are being built everywhere. Food prices keep falling. There's still hardship but it's reducing. The pains are gradually giving way to the gains. Tell me how you want Nigeria to survive in the next 20yrs with double population increase compared to what we currently have, if we continue to subsidize exchange rates and petrol, leave our roads as they were in 1960, or keep living the same type of lives we lived in 1980? Tell me how Nigeria would survive the coming explosive population in 20 years time with no reforms whatsoever. Change comes with pains. Nobody loves pains but without pains there's no gain. |
VeeVeeMyLuv:Abeg, stop all these. You're the one paid to rubbish the good works of this current president. Nigeria has never had a president so decisive as this. I do not belong to any party, and I don't support anybody. I don't even contribute to politics. But if you say Tinubu has done nothing, you're simply an hypocrite. We've seen it all. From the military era to the current Democratic dispensation. Things have spoilt beyond repairs. Nigeria was a lost country. Tinubu's reforms are repositioning and reinjecting life into the country. This is what has rekindled my hope for Nigeria. If what Tinubu is doing can be sustained for at least 20yrs, Nigeria would be a country to reckon with in the committee of nations. But you see children? They're only concerned about what to eat now now. As long as they cannot see ready-made food to eat now now, nothing is working. They have no sense of rebuilding something for the Future, and do not understand the principles of pains for gains. |
Ofunaofu:You're expecting quality of life to astronomically increase in less than 2yrs of governance after several decades of economic decadence? Are you a magician? |

Why is Punch withholding the Colonel's name? His name is Mohammed Ma'aji. Colonel Mohammed Ma'aji was the coordinator of the coup, while Brigadier-General Musa Abubakar Sadiq was the leader. Lieutenant Colonel M. Al-Makura is Named as a "mastermind" of the operation. He is a nephew of former Nasarawa Governor Tanko Al-Makura and was reportedly recently assigned to the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA). |
DeepSight:You too! |
DeepSight:Take your own advice. Now, tell me. Is the physical realm and the movie realm the same? Can you act in a movie of your life history where though you are Deepsight, you act as the son of Deepsight in your own movie? If that's possible, why do you need medical attention to understand that God can be anything He wants to be in another realm? Are you Yoruba? Ask an average Yoruba man the meaning of Babatunde or Yetunde. Maybe from there, your understanding would open. The Yoruba believes that a father can return as a son. This isn't the very concept here but that's the closest thing to what we're discussing. Too much for someone who claims to have read the Bible extensively. |
