Sentiments Aside, when Politicians begin to systematically eradicate civility and education in the name of funding same thats the least they can get.

For heaven's sake Ekiti is one of the poorest states in the country, despite the fact that it prides itself as a well educated population. UNAD is the Legacy of some breed of politician who have long gone into extinction and UNAD itself is one of the oldest State Universities in Nigeria who have trained hundreds of thousands of not Only Ekiti Indegines but onigerias from other parts of the country.

Now the Governor thinks the best way to secure funds for the next electoral Fraudcess is to increase school fees by more than 200% :[/b]o absolute Madness.

How then can developement be achieved when young Ekiti indigines who cannot even get admissions to other universities because "They Are Too Smart" afford quality education at thier own backyard with such immoral school fess.

we all know the cost of quality education, but when you see the waste being commiteed by the same non-performing administration in the state, you will but agree with me.

I just hope the students get good legal representation in court, they will work away with some punishment for sure, but a BIG point has been made, Young Nigerians are not fools, we see you spend 'our' Money, we see your children in schools abroad, we know where your wives and concubines shop till they drop, the next gbam! YOU HEAR WILL BE MY STONE HAULED AT YOUR ARMORED TINTED LIMO!!!

this is not molestation. u and i knw dat wat d girl did is VERY wrong, but i still want u guys to bliv dat ders somtin wrong somwia. a gud xtian in his/her right senses would not do a tin of such. lets just bliv its d devil's work. wat i wnt my muslim brodas/sistas to do is just imbibe d spirit of forgivness, lets bliv she sinned against God, let God judge her d right way. like u said in your earlier post, she has been suspended from school, gud, but wat else does dis muslims brodas/sistas want d school authority to do? do dey want her expelled? do dey wnt to fight for God?

I can tell you for sure that the student would have been expelled / suspended for inciting violence. And yes, the papers would have picked it, and they always do. The Muslim student's reaction is understandable because they have always been on the receiving side, they needed to drum-out this episode to drive in the point, they are not always the "Trouble-initiators". I lived in the south-east for a while, and the few Muslims there are constantly being harrassed, the Muslim women in Hijab, are always taunted, sometimes their head-scarf are pulled and laughed at. Does it ever make headlines?NO.
In fact, it would have become the most bobbling topic on international medias.

The experience of Muslims whom go for Youth-service is another chapter entirely, year in year out, the Muslims sisters are threatened to pull-off their hijab, despite it is not against any NYSC rules; yet the Chriatian-Catholic sisters whom also wear something very similar are treated with so much respect and exempted from most disliked activities. There are many examples but for the battery of my Laptop, I would have elaborated more

So sad. Her actions were bad. The MSS however isnt paralyzing school activities. Things are back to normal now. The demands to ban all DISTURBING preachings and services EXCEPT in DESIGNATED areas is good. Because, perhaps the only place that isnt used as worship centers is the toilet. Even during exams, those fellowships are merciless. They make noise for as long as 2hrs. Nobody should quote the muslim adhan cos that last barely 5 mins. All the same , MSS should thread carefully. No violence needed.

The school expelling her cos the Muslim students demanded so, will grossly undermine the school's ability to take and implement decisions!

I mean for fúcks sake, the lady in question had been reported beaten "mercilessly" by the Muslim students in attendance, now they demand she's expelled, what more?. . . .set her house ablaze?

and what about the Muslim students that beat her mercilessly? aren't there school laws against assault? especially one carried out by a group of people on one individual? shouldn't someone/some group be protesting and demanding that students responsible be apprehended, suspended and handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution?. . . . Yer, she provoked it, but if the law of Jungle justice was applied everywhere, then we don't even need the schools to begin with!. . . and what more?. . these same sets of people are demanding that her air supply be cut off?

   Muslim students of the University of Ibadan, UI, this morning paralysed activities during a protest against the institution’s refusal to expel a part four law student, Miss Seun Olubunmi Adegunsoye who preached gospel in the school mosque last Friday.
   A[size=16pt]degunsoye of Mountain of Fire and Miracle Church, according to reports, preached at the mosque last Friday to the Muslim faithful.


   While she was preaching, the Muslim students mobilised themselves, attacked the lady and beat her mercilessly.[/size]


   The school’s security men rescued her and took her away for questioning.
   Sources saidhe institution’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Olufemi Bamiro, appealed to the Muslim students not to foment any trouble, promising that the issue would appropriately investigated.


   However, the Muslim students went haywire when they found out that the institution’s bulletin which was released this morning did not report the incident and the punishment the school authority has meted out to the preacher.


  The students who barricaded all the entrances leading to the premier university and carried placards prevented both academic and non-academic staff from gaining access into the school this morning.


   Among the inscriptions written on their placard were: “No to terrorism. No religion should be allowed to terrorize us in our country”; “We will not take any unreligious act from any religious group”; “We will do everything possible to protect our religion”; “We will not accept insult from any religion”; “Olubunmi should be expelled from UI because she has done what is wrong”; “Olubunmi should be arraigned before a court of law for preaching in the mosque”.


   According to a leaflet signed by a student called Almin, they demanded that Adegunsoye be expelled from the school and charged to court.
   Other demands include: Investigating religious leaders behind the lady, carry out medical examination on the lady to find out whether she is mentally sound, ban Christians from preaching in public places in the school, and punish anyone who facilitated her release from the school security net.


   Official reaction from the institution could not be sought as at the time of filing this report but it was gathered that the VC would address the press later in the day.
   The school’s PRO, Mrs. Joke Akinpelu who was on leave, rushed down to see what was happening but she was also prevented from entering the school.


   Her words, “I can’t say anything now because I am on leave but I have called the VC who will later address the press. As you can see, I can’t even enter but I will see if I can jump the fence to enter the premises and see how we can bring the situation under control.”

I feel you my brother. If they'd be so 'all rules' n stuff then we should consider somewhere else. In their defence sha being a not so statewide outfit they'd like to be as 'public' as possible rather than host once in a blue moon' private stuff. . . all depends on if they dont give others the rules they r giving us.

I think we'v concluded this issue. There is nothing like "rules" what so ever. We are customers that want to patronise its products. Surely, mamacass wont do that. And if it insisted, we all walk away to another place on the avenue.
