The level of ignorance in Nigeria beats me,during his days OBJ bought at least two jets ,the NAF001 which is a boeing business jet and another one that was used by the office of the VP which i think was a falcon 900.For pple to come here and say that the last jets were bought during IBBs time is reALLY UNFORTUNATE.In a country where pple cannot eat 2 meals a day yet the politicians outdo their contemporaries in the first world in their extravagance.Aside ARIk what is the average age of the planes flying in Nigeria are they not all 737-200 and 300 series yet these retards continue to play on our intelligence all the time.OBAMAs jet is an adapted 747-200 bought in 1990 ,the uk does not operate a presidential fleet

To me that was a good initiatives but the timing is wrong not when all parties are looking for their opponent to commit a blunder, why did she invite them to Aso rock, why not in Aba,Kano or Lagos in a convenient hotel and paid for it live coverage for people to see her addressing the women and urging women to take Nigerian politics centre stage,

I think if a credible woman can take all the presidential aspirant down without doubt she will win but corruption and madness will not allow us to give the women a chance to prove what they are worth.

The denial of airtime was probably due more to the lack of sophistication in the use of words in Buhari's advert than anything else. Phrases such as ''no roads'', ''no water'', ''no light'' etc etc are ABSOLUTIST terms that will easily and rightfully be construed as exaggerated and misleading by the govt, since in fact, there ARE many ''good roads'', there IS water and light. It's just a question of degree. And THAT must be reflected in any political advertisement.

So Buhari's team should stop being bush, and learn how to write proper adverts!

This debate offers the best platform for them to sell these candidature to the masses but behold they decided to boycott it for some frivolous and egoistic reasons. FYI, BON is the umbrella association of all electronic and print media, newspaper proprietors,Nigeria Guild of Editors, NUJ, NBA, NANS, etc, Still wondering whether they are going there to sell their candidature to Gej or to the wider Nigeria audience. If they could come together so quickly to boycott a debate but can't even come together to wrestle power from the ruling party. Honestly, my friend mistakay, if the truth must be told, most of us who are GEJ supporters love him because of his soft and nice nature. However, I am gradually getting inclined to shift my support to the BB ticket. Sorry, to disappoint Beaf who apparently loves GEJ just like myself, or even more. It will be fool-hardy for me to continue to believe that GEJ with his soft approach can tackle the evil men that oils corruption in our land. We will be fooling ourselves if we expect the saboteurs who import generators to give in without a serious fight or if we expect those who benefit from importation of refined petroleum products to sit back and allow local refineries to work. Very unfortunately, these are the people who populate the PDP! Definitely, we would be asking for too much from our beloved GEJ if we expect him to suddenly become enemies of these hawks after the elections (as I have expressed on this forum in the past). They will work against him from within the party and eventually impeach him.
On the other hand, one can clearly see that a mention of Buhari's name alone sends jitters to the spines of the corrupt-minded. It therefore becomes a duty for me as a true lover of my country to shift my support and vote for the BB ticket. It is obvious that Nigeria as a country stand to overcome many of her problems if corruption is defeated as Buhari is wont to do. My only prayer is that being so powerful, God would not allow Buhari to become as despotic as the strong man of Libya.
I supported GEJ up to this moment because of my belief that "If he can make it, I can make it" but sorry, he is too, too soft for the kind of demons that are holding Nigeria down now. Nigeria needs a strong leader, with strong institutions to get out of the woods. I am also happy for him because he has already made it! For now, for the love of my country, Buhari seems to be the answer! God bless my country, Nigeria.

But then she has a degree, her husband a PHD holder (atleast non of the opponents have been wise enough to investigate and rubbish their claim) and they are loved by Nigerians.

Uniport is a good school, one of the best in Nigeria, you just can't help but identify with a success story, and Dr GEJ is one success story, Dame Johnathan is too, and my alma matta definitely is (B.sc. Microbiology Uniport).

Former NFF President Sani Lulu Abdullahi and three others will go on trial on Tuesday on charges of corruption.

Lulu is joined by former First Vice President Amanze Uchegbulam, former Executive Committee member Taiwo Ogunjobi and former Secretary General Bolaji Ojo-Oba.

Nigeria's anti -corruption body, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have detained all four men in preparation for their arraignment on Tuesday.

EFCC spokesman Femi Babafemi said the suspects would appear before Abuja Federal High Court Judge, Mr Justice D. Okorowa.

Among the charges brought against the quartet are:

• Payment of estacodes/allowances of $800,000 to 220 delegates to the World Cup in South Africa. Only 47 of which were authorised NFF officials

• mismanagement of N900million World Cup funds;

• purchase of over-inflated luxury buses for the Super Eagles;

• incurring a $125,000 fine in South Africa over a deal with Hampshire Hotel;

• mismanagement of $250,000 to charter a faulty aircraft for the Super Eagles from London to South Africa; and

• spending $400,000 for a friendly match between Colombia and Nigeria in London.

The officials were originally questioned on July 6 by the EFCC.

I can understand the mutual anger and disgust , N500,000 to buy stationeries in a quarter , when classrooms do not have desks and chairs.
However, anger alone will not solve the problem, the revolution we are all talking about does not fit the modern days and times. Storming that complex with M16 rifles will lead to anarchy, once the boys are through with the action they will become Tin Gods . We all saw what Bakassi Boys, Egbesu Boys,OPC etc and even local vigilantes can do once they are armed. They were killing and maiming over girl-friends , extortion became the order of the day.

The point here is that our actions must be civilised, it is obviously slower, but it does not leave any bitter pill for us to swallow.We are all guilty of being docile citizens. On reading this article, I was disspointment in myself for not having good knowledge of Budgeting,allocation,and Expenses procedures of the Senators and Reports, despite being a Chartered Accountant. We all need to be conversant with their procedures and processes before we can change anything.

Let us all step-up our civil activism as idle talks will not change anything.
