How come you guys all suddenly became comedians on NairaLand this evening. Lol @ TomTom Abeg, I no fit laugh again! DipoDee: Missempress... pls lack of money is not the only sign of poverty.. You man is TOTALLY poor coz you may be broke but really HAPPY in your relationship; so his own poverty is more than meets the eyes. A boyfriend that can't pay your Tee-fare has spiritual issues and if truly, he hasn't gotten you a single gift before (not even TomTom) then you need to put your life in perspective and don't assume that he will change.
He will get money and still make your life miserable, pls don't play games with your future and your happiness. We court to have a taste of what we will live with for life so if you think you can stand your boyfriend's attitude forever, you can stay with him. It all boils down to what you want anyway. |

I agree with you completely! If she ever makes the mistake of marrying this guy, she will never be happy because I don't see the guy changing any time soon. Bisjosh: His problem is not poverty. He's just irresponsible, stingy and archaic.
When u love someone, unknowingly u pay for some things. Did u read where d lady said she got gifts for him but he never did? (not even 500 recharge card haba!)it's just mere instincts to do so!
Poverty doesn't make u stingy. Whether rich or poor, if ur stingy ur stingy. The responsibility of ur marriage will be on u(children sch fees, hse rent etc)
And to cap it all, you're not of the same orientation, exposure and status. This will continually embarrass or limit u
My advice is this: have a deep discussion with him, watch for a month. If he doesn't change pls let him go. You are a hardworking woman hence need a man that is compatible and would complement u.

Are you my husband? You sound so much like him. He told me exactly all these when we newly married and I was complaining of been neglected at home. All men must be the same when it comes to this! raumdeuter: There are many things that make a person not just being married. Most women are actually self centered.
The guy was that way before he married, He had other things that made him happy. After work, A guy has to probably prepare for more professional exams, higher education, weekly Chess or Tennis clubs games, have weekly bible studies to attend, have Saturdays dedicated to football to watch, Maybe goes to the gym 2 hrs for 3 days a week. These are the things that make him who he is for her to desire a marital union with him but as soon as he gets married, he has to drop all those and just stay watching the eyes of the wife.
Its usually with girls who have no social life and nothing going for them hoping to dump all their emotional burden on the man post marriage
Even Zukerberg or Obama you think they dont have other things they do with their lives? If sitting down to stare at the faces of their spouse is what makes them who they are today. You think Obama made the connections to be popular in Politics and become a president by staring at Michelle's eyes day and night? Do you know how many round the clock meeting he had to do, how much networking he had to do, how much hanging out with colleagues he had to do. The guy was even a community organiser which means endless meetings here and there
Those men that became Bank MD, that became partners in their firms that became succesful people do you think they made it by sitting down at home all day starring at their wifes face? Yet na the same wife would tell him after a few years that why isnt he succcesful like Mr A and B.
If you know how many business deals are completed at the typical Boys night club hangout, Golf course or Tennis club
Which man became succesful in life by sitting at home all day looking at his wifes face day and night. Am sure if he does that. the same woman would tell him to go and be a man and not just sit at home
Why isnt the man forcing the wife to be in his own image rather its the women always looking to change their husband
Let her go ahead and get that someone real quick so both of their lives wont be miserable. The guy is sad because the wife doesnt want him to be who he is, the wife is sad because the husband isnt who she wants him to be Rather than have 2 unhappy people she should serve him divorce papers and go pursue her happiness |

Peachafique1, it is obvious that jennylov is a hardened criminal (no apology). If you are a christain, I will advice you take it to God in prayer (midnight) using psalms 94:1. A lot of people have testified after using that psalm to pray. What we can't handle physically, we handle spiritually. Let the God of vengeance take over this matter and let's see who wins. |

Jennylov, so you are not a woman of your words eh kwa? How do you even sleep at night knowing that you stole someone's sweat and the person is probably crying to God every night and even cursing your generation unborn? I'm sure in future when things don't work for u, u will say God is unfair forgetting that you actually attracted curses to yourself because of your love for quick riches. Pls, if you want to continue scamming as a way of life, don't bring children into this world to share in the curses. I have seen where children suffer for what they practically knew nothing about(sins of the father/mother) and it is exactly what you are doing. As you no fear human being again, make you try fear God small nau. |
Family › Re: My Labour Experience. by FynBabe(f): 12:03am On Sep 26, 2015 |
Here goes.... I have always hated pains and the moment I discovered I was pregnant, I started reading anything and everything about pregnancy and delivery.
The day finally arrived and we got to the hospital so early because my water broke first. I was gisting and laughing because the pain was not much and just like Phema, I said 'is this the pain I have been so scared of?' I never knew that I had not entered into real labour. And I was busy calling the doctor to come and check that my baby will soon be out. The doctors hand was so big. Every time he put his hand to check, I would close my legs. This made it so difficult for them to know how many cm I had dilated and the doctor had to scream at me at the fourth attempt to allow him check. When the real thing hold my waist ehn, nobody told me o! Everybody and everything around me started irritating me.
I screamed that hospital down that day so tey the nurses and some other persons there started praying on my behalf because I couldn't even pray. I was sreaming 'Jesus come and help me'. I even asked for epidural, they told me it slows down labour. To cap it up, I had to be induced because I was on 4cm for hours and I became sleepy. I told the nurses I wanted to sleep and they said I could go ahead. I relaxed to sleep but the next round of pain was out of this world. I can't describe it.
They say when you see your baby you forget the pain and want to have another one immediately, na lie o! I just can't forget that pain.
To born plenty children no be my calling o! My daughter don reach to get brother but make I dey reason the thing first. Mbanu, that pain no be here o! |

Madam, to be honest the money won't be enough. As per 1st birthday o! If you intend to invite people, you will have to increase the money a little or leave the celebration till he is two. This will enable save towards it. These are the major things you will need the money for: meat, cake, pictures, drinks for children and adults and at least a little thing for the kids to take home. I don't know how many people you will be inviting sha. Or you can make it just you, your husband and a few family members and just share cake and drinks for neighbours and tell them you did very small, that next year you will celebrate and invite them. This is how I see it. All the best! Ronie24: Hello Fellow mothers in d haus, am a mother of one. I jst wanna knw if 40k is enough for my son's first bday. Haba! The money won't be enought if she plans inviting people o! Did you include meat in that budget @ all? Those that would be invited will be taken there by their parents now, that means the parents mouth suppose join for the food too. In fact, cake alone go chop like 15k self (about 15 or 16 inch). The best she can get with that amount is to celebrate it in the child's school. It will be cheaper because most schools don't alow cooked food, she will use the money for that on party bags for the kids. mrwonlasewonie: Op it is more than enough.
You can also do a small parlour party and have him and invite his friends
let me even help you manage your money
photographs should not be more than 2k at most 2,500
you don't need dj just get a music player with speakers and some music cds
2crates of soft drinks is enough a bag of table water
and food shouldn't be more than 20k.cake of 5k is ok. Then decorate the house yourself party tide niyen |

When you sense you are in labour, you put a call across to your people. That dream was just a revelation as to what is about to happen, no need to be scared.
