I applied on the 9th of August via paper route. I got my BVL mail this morning. However, the purpose of my intended visit is over. I'm being optimistic here, can I still use the visa to travel when I eventually get it. The validy of the visa is 6 months, correct?

Good day guys,please my husband and I submitted our paper application on the 19 of July, and the conference we where invited for starts from the 6 of September ,someone who has earlier submitted for Canadian visa told me processing time was 21 days and we naively submitted ours based on that information,I have been to UK numerous times,I even did my masters there, I have been to Netherlands ,and the USA numerous tines, I Also gave birth to my kids there, so my travel history is good but my husband has just been to Dubai, I was sent a message yesterday that our application was ready for pick up, its not up to the 72 days processing time I saw Here. I'm scared we night been refused, because the date of the conference has passed, please what do you think guys, thanks

I have an approved Canada TRV.
I went there spent a month and came back to Nigeria
Because am working here in Nigeria.
I have not travelled back to canada in the last 53 weeks.
Now I intend to travel for vacation, do I need to re-apply for TRV again.
I still have valid visa on my passport till 2021.
Please kindly assist.

My company wants to sponsor a one week vacation to canada for my annual leave, all document summited on 19/7/2019( except travel history which i haven't travelled out of naija before) biometrics done, application approved. But my worries is, is there any chances of getting visa since i don't have travelling history? I'm married and i intend to come back after my vacation... Gave a detailed LOE showing a day to day itinerary breakdown, even purchased Tourist reservation(Toronto City Pass) worth $72.73 , Hotel reservation and flight reservation all in good order. The honest truth is i legit wanted to go for vacation purposes only so i'm irked.

First Application was rejected due to Family ties ,Second Application rejected due to Purpose of visit , I'm officially done with Canada, will focus on my US visa renewal only going forward

Thanks for your swift reply. This is a an eye opener, especially as one does not need to have that cash (500,000 and 300,000 CAD) in his/her account at the time of application. However, I doubt if an account that is less than 10m naira which is about #37,000 CAD will fly for that purpose.

In a nut shell, For an account that is less than 10m and without invitation, this looks like a better alternative to strength the purpose of visit then saying you are traveling for vacation.

Can you please throw much light on exploratory visit?. I intend applying for a tourist visit but I fear my application may be denied because of my express entry profile although my score is very far from recieving ITA in the nearest future except i get employer who will engage me. For me the alternative is to use conference, unfortunately, I can't find a conference that is specifically related to my job in Canada for the next 8 months.

In 2014 i was in UAE and i travelled to the UK is 2019.

Reasons for first refusal:

Travel history
Purpose of visit

Reasons for second refusal:

Travel history: he has only being to east African countries.

Purpose of visit: the conference was postponed till next year. We are not sure if the consular knew that the conference would be postponed during the visa processing. The conference organizers sent a letter to him that the conference has been postponed a week after visa refusal.

Finance: he submitted statement of account of 10 million naira and treasury bills certificate of 25 million naira.

Asset: he submitted 8 landed properties worth 80 million naira.

good day, I got an application concluded email from ukvi on Wednesday and I called the ukvi phone line to know when I will be getting my passport and I was told that I will be getting it next week with a decision letter. Pls what does this mean?

Maybe it varies cz i also have valid US visa till May 2020 and today is Day 67 and still waiting on feedback (Eligibility review started 10 days ago) so guess i have 5 more days for final decision

Processing times is now 72 days. An increase of 1 day. Gradually summer rush is ending. I expect the results of pending June applicants to start rolling in.

Hello house, so I thought I should update you all about my mum's application. After raising several CSE and emails to both London and Lagos Offices, and even VFS Lagos office, we got a reply about 2 weeks after the initial refusal from Lagos VO office that her application has been reopened and same day, her profile was updated and showed that Biometrics completed. Today, her application was approved andher passport was requested. Thanks to @nothingdome and @oriazowan and every other person that reached out.

Timeline:

1st Refusal - July 29
File reopened - Aug 9
Biometrics passed - August 9
Application approved/passport request - August 23
