No, you have to submit with the passport you applied with(As far as I know). Canada will give you visa till expiry date of your passport and not beyond.

I submitted my online application since Apiri 14th for a programme taking place in 2weeks. since then, no reply of any. what line of action should I take.

You are right. All they will tell you is that they will escalate it to the appropriate department and you are being charged heavily per minute. I think there is something wrong somewhere with the application of those that applied around that period. I did my biometrics on the 16th May in Abuja and i am in the same boat. I received the "Application Despatched" email from UKVI since 10th June and up till now TLS does not have my passport. I have emailed and called them and its same story. I even had to go to Abuja 2 days ago. Trip turned out to be more like a wasted effort. I guess its a game of waiting at this point.

Experts in the house, today makes it 60 days after biometrics. No decision mail from UKVI and no update from TLS. Response to mail confirmed the application is with them. Has this happened to anyone before

I budget 1750 pounds for the total trip,am spending 10 days,My salary 375,000 per month....I also include my landed document and a copy of my vehicle document,my present house rent receipt,wedding certificate plus different family pics.Let me know should incase you needed more info...cheers

give it time.. the despatched email will come.. some cases stay up to 3 weeks extra.

My brother did his bio-metrics on April 26, 2019 and yet to receive any mail from UKVI till today. He sent mail last week and they confirmed they have the application. What else can he do? It's been two months without response.

I applied 27th of March 2019 and as we speak no update yet (applied online) it’s 3 months underprocessing and quite frustrating. I have sent two mails and nothing yet. Pls advise. I got the below email since the 10th of June that my application has been dispatched and i am yet to receive any email from VFS for collection. Today is 19th. Does it usually take this long for VFS to update at their end? I track online and its still showing "Application Received By DMC". I did biometric since the 16th of May. Its been 5weeks now. Im begining to think something is wrong somewhere. Huh......

I was not sent any email concerning the application not being straightforward. I only received an email from UK Visa on 7th June stating that my application has been dispatched from UK Visa section. This email came after TLS sent me theirs. However, the date Visa was issued was 15th May as stated on the visa.

I picked up my passport today and six months Visa was granted.

Below is the time line:

23rd April: Did biometrics at TLS office Ikeja.

23rd April: Visa application transferred to DMC.

1st June: Sent an email to UK Visa requesting status of Visa application.

3rd June: Received an email from UK Visa informing me that a decision has been reached and that I will receive an email from the VAC with respect to passport pick-up.

3rd June: Received an email from TLS informing me that my document is ready for pick-up.

3rd June: Received another email from TLS that my document has been dispatched via DHL.

6th June: DHL attempted delivery but I was not around. Document was returned to their office.

Note: I used self service and no Visa agent was utilised.

Thank God for His favour.
