Like I stated it was just a suggestion. In Jan. 2019 I applied for vacation and was refused in February. In March I was advised to change the purpose of trip to exploratory visit in Saskatoon where exploratory visit is mandatory for SINP and after 4 Months long wait it was approved.

I was only speaking based personal experience.

I think your number 1 response is quite misleading. Getting a visa for vacation/tourist purpose is actually very easy. It becomes more completed and difficult when you start using conferences and exploratory purposes. The western world recognizes the need for vacation at least once every year. So after working hard for the whole year, it is very necessary to take some time off and relax yourself and most times, you may wish to travel very far to somewhere you have not even been before to experience new things.

So my advise is that the person should proceed with tourist/vacation visa. Package yourself very well and ensure you have booked your hotel and also state clearly your itinerary while in Canada.

I’m a Salary earning civil servant in the medical field. Conferences are hard in this period Cos of covid and I can’t move this application any further Cos of the plan of birthing too. Sigh. I’m really confused

Spending just 10 days in your last trip is actually a huge advantage.
Are you an entrepreneur? Do you have your own company? If yes you can push for "Exploratory Visit" that is a more stronger reason to fly for over 7000miles rather than just vacation than can get rejected under "Purpose of Visit"

Thanks you for your response. The problem with conference now is the COVID 19. Most conferences are still via zoom.
So with the fact that I have been to Canada before (though the first time was to visit a university in British Columbia) do I still have good chances saying I want to go on vacation?

My suggestions to the 4 questions;

1. Canada dont usually buy holidays stories considering the distance that doesn't mean people dont get it when they state vacation as reason for trip but success rate is low. I will advice you look for a conference relevant to your current employment.

2. Your chances of getting the visa is 97% not because of plenty other countries you've been to but because you've been to Canada before and spent just 10days. Perfect record

3. Leaving family behind serves as a strong tie. Regarding how much you would need, just make sure it is in excess of what you will need for the trip. Avoid lump deposit

4. Currently average processing time is 234 days so apply now.

Please I would like to apply for a Canadian visa for next may. I would like to visit and possibly use it for child birth later. I’m worried and confused Cos of the rate of rejections people are reporting nowadays

I would like to state that I went to Canada in 2011 and stayed for 10 days. I never renewed since then. I also also collected US visa(2years each) about 5times. Uk visa about 5times too. All my visas are currently expired.
I would like to know if
1) can I apply now even though I don’t know anyone in Canada to invite me and I just want to state I’m going on holiday next year April /May 2021
2) what are my chances please?
3) I will be sponsoring myself, I’m married. However, how much will need to be in the account on the average for better chances.
4) what is the average processing time? I saw 8 months somewhere... Do you really think It can take 8months?

Whatever una want to do do. But PLEASE dont block Road. Some of us needs to go out and hustle to make ends meet. We are not internet celebrities that made money online.

Your parents asset cannot be used to prove a home tie and you also need to show that you are economically solvent in your home country.

You need stuff that logically thinking you would not want to abandon them to start a new life in Canada. Stuff like; Your family (Spouse and children), properties owned by you, a very high paying job that will be tough to jettison etc.

Nevertheless in your own case, proof of school, level and how well you are doing in school will help though not strong enough.

If you are in final year or 1year to go and you are in 1st class or strong 2.1. You need hammer on that in your letter.

You will find it tough proofing you will return home. You will have to go above and beyond to proof home ties.

Please note the only way to add information to an already submitted application is through webform. Sending email is a waste of time. Attach the affidavit here showing you bear all the names. Because you can only submit a single file. Whatever explanation you want to offer to can be merged to the same pdf that bears your birth certificate or affidavit.

I dont agree with you. A licensed agent and please emphases on "LICENSED" agent can do the magic. They can be very expensive but they can guide you to success. Most of them are based in Canada. I was refused in February 2018 and immediately I engaged one of them and he pointed out my errors (without requesting the GCMS) and I reapplied immediately and it was approved.

dont waste your money with licenced agents. They have no magic wand or special quota. If you do not qualify for the visa you will still get denied.

Nope. Travel restrictions still in place. Except you are a family member of a PR or Citizen.

Yes it does. They will tell you the actual state of your application e.g Decision made, not straightforward, still under processing etc. They will however not be able to tell you the decision or the actual time tls will contact you.

Considering your age. His support will play little to no assistance at this point because the only visa you can apply for is a visitor visa and the decision will be based solely on your economic circumstances.

Quickly write them. It is either you are approved and they mistakenly missed placing the sticker or you were refused they missed putting the refusal paper.

I can only feel your nostalgia flipping from joy when you touched the nylon containing the passport and didn't feel any refusal paper to when you flipped through the pages of your passport and didn't see any visa.

Just keep up hope. I'm positive it is an approval with missed vignette. Write them ASAP.

Even if you have 10years visitor visa, you are not allowed to stay more than 6months per each visit.

If you are going to be staying/living/working in the UK for more than six months, a TB test is compulsory.

Yes. Offer letter does not guarantee you are still an employee there. Introduction letter confirms your current status.

By rule of thumb you qualify to apply for 2years visa after getting 6 months visa. You need no explanation.

I previously applied for a 6months UK visa in January last year. It was approved and I used it in October for just 10 days trip.

I intend to travel again in January 2021 and I want to apply for a 2 years visa instead of 6months.

It is a better idea to go for a 2years visa or stick with 6months for now? The sole reason for thinking of 2 years is to avoid another stress of the application process if need be to visit within 2 years.
