Anyways, Scorcese knows what genre he is tailored for, some people may argue

that a good director should be able to delve into any genre successfully but i dont believe that

an actor, maybe. not a director.

Spielberg from his early days began to work on what he loved most and his fascination
with things out of the ordinary, directing some gangstar flick may have been too natural for him.

So maybe the argument is, who does better at directing, regardless of what they direct.

They have directed some of the top films in their specialized genre
