Politics / Re: FEC Okays N1.4bn For Design Of Dpr’s 12-floor Head Office by garamah: 11:02pm On Mar 27, 2019 |
soulpeppersoup: That's a lie bro, China is building a 55km long bridge across the sea with $20bn all inclusive of design, building etc, if it's Nigeria, it will be like x100 of that with less quality, durability etc. All is a way to waste public funds. Thank you. 1 Like 1 Share |

Politics / Re: Atiku Wins All 15 Central Polling Units In Mpape, Abuja - Daily Post by garamah: 8:40am On Feb 24, 2019 |
If you study the elections so far you notice that the areas where reasonably sane people (those that feed themselves and take care of some liabilities) live have a peculiar trend of their choices but on the other areas where you have people that can't make decision about their future (those that are fed in all things), their choices are influenced by the 1-hour food money they collected. Anyone that wins is no of my concerns but the lessons learnt. |

Computers / Re: Updated Keyboard Shortcuts For Linux by garamah: 8:32pm On Feb 12, 2019 |
Linux is used by the elites and serious minded individuals. It's more than windows in million times. High techs around the world use it for high efficiency and security. More than 95% of scientific communities across the globe use Linux. Nigeria is not an IT nation yet that's why we're not familiar with the OS, most of the IT guys in the country use this OS. Windows OS is for babies. 2 Likes |

My laptop is running on Linux (Ubuntu 18.04 LTS) 100% for almost 3-years now. Career / Re: How Do I Prepare To Become A Theoretical Physicist In This Country Nigeria by garamah: 6:18pm On Sep 18, 2018 |
Brother, if you have your way go and do your studies abroad where true Physics is done. But if you must do your B.Sc here in Nigeria make sure you do all the required Mathematics courses ranging from calculus, algebra, analysis and so on, then coming to Physics, classical, thermodynamics/statistical, electromagnetism, relativistic and quantum mechanics you should hold them to your heart, then there are what they called quantum many-body systems and quantum field theory etc which you hardly heard of in Nigeria. And if you can make your way to UI, Uniben or UNN they do little theoretical there but those old guys may retire before you get in, that's worst scenario. In reality, there is no active theoretical Physics in Nigeria presently. I am telling your from experience as someone with MSc in condensed matter theory. I have been to Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy for summer schools and I can tell you confidently that we are far behind in Physics here in Nigeria. If you need more info feel free to reach me on +2348031349281 and on facebook through facebook.com/garamahtua. Best wishes. 2 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Muslim Group Seeks Withdrawal Of 'jonathan's N100 Note' From Circulation by garamah: 3:15pm On Apr 18, 2018 |
These Muslim people think Nigeria belong to them so them can do anything they want with it. The Nigeria Army and ABU emblems is inscribed in Arabic write-ups nobody sees that, almost all the Nigeria notes have Islamic/Arabic related logos or signs yet they want Nigeria to be call Iran, Iraq, Saudi or Muhammed. Everywhere looking or or creating trouble. |

Education / Re: Man Meets Professor Alexander Animalu On A Plane To Abuja & Is Excited About It by garamah: 2:10pm On Dec 07, 2017 |
Again, Animalu Alex is by no means comparable to Okeke, Ayankoha etc in Nigeria, he is in the category of Rice in ETHZ Switzerland, Stephen Hawkin of Cambridge, witten, Susskind of Stanford. He is not a local champion with secondary texts, one of his book called elementary quantum theory of crystalline solids published in the sixties has India, Chinese, Russian versions and well referenced worldwide in any condensed matter (solid state) theory courses/text. He has been nominated for Nobel prize twice or more and the only Nigerian that can nominate people for Noble prize. He has been Prof. (functional not this Nigerian political Profs.) before joining UNN in 1975. I am his student presently. 4 Likes |

emeijeh: Why are you comparing Anthony Joshua with the great Alex Animalu?. What has Joshua contributed to enhance human existence?. Alex is not a noise maker his contributions speak for the world, some of his work enable improvement in electronics you are using right now ask US DOE and DOD about Alex, in emerging tech such as superconductivity, quantum computing etc his work pave way for the new generations to achieve major breakthrough in science and technology. I don't know why we Nigerian celebrate useless things that add no value to live. Sensible nations and people celebrate scientific contributions that better human existence why we Nigerians celebrate slay mamas, bikini, unclothedness, BBN/BBA, useless musicians etc and expect better live. Animalu Alex is a legend in science/Physics worldwide. 1 Like |

Culture / Re: Benin Kingdom Vs Yoruba Race: Why Oba Of Benin Is Number One, By Odia Ofeimun by garamah: 4:09pm On Feb 22, 2016 |
Ife is far far incomparable with Bini kingdom both in existence and hierarchical order; the Bini kingdom is like a great-grand son to the Ife kingdom. I don't know history much but I will direct any truth seeking original Bini (Benin) person to go to the Bini royal families or any old traditional Bini man/woman and ask them the relationship between the Bini royalty(and tradition custodians) and the Igbo (the present Ilaje people in Ondo state) royalty ( and tradition custodians). Tradition demands the Bini palace/kingdom supplying some sacrificial items during some of the Igbos (the Ilaje) traditional/sacrificial festival as a form of homage if you will agree with me, but that's traditional/sacred things not for public consumption. In fact ,the Bini kingdom can not say all these jargons they are saying now, comparing their stool with the Ooni of Ife, if the former (dethroned) Olugbo of Ilaje is still on the throne because he has the traditional power and right to deactivate some traditions in bini kingdom if they go beyond their traditional limit. The Ilaje people in Ondo sate can still trace their root back to Ife and Ife also acknowledged them as one of the ancient Ife aborigines, let alone the Bini kingdom of yesterday. The Binis are Yoruba any time, any day, it's just because they tend to ''over civilised'' these days and began to twist history. The fact that a kingdom is popular has nothing to do with traditional, cultural, and historical facts and that doesn't make it superior to an unpopular kingdom. Some historical analysis these days are tailored and bent for self proclamation. 1 Like |
