The Rivers state Governor SIM FUBARA has purportedly reconciled with his political godfather the FCT minister Nyesom Wike.

Insiders claimed the meeting was held on the oresence of the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the presidential villa on Thursday night.

All parties agreed to keep it secret at the moment to enable Gov Fubara conclude his defection to the APC.

Fubara will be allowed to finish his first tenure and won't contest in 2027.

As for the person that made 3rd Class in AE, we all know that no degree in this world can buy one a Private Jet.

Nobody helped me but God, my point is that any degree is not a waste, the 3rd class degree did not buy the jet but he got his first job with that degree which was a starting point.

@OP, I know many times that you don't have to choose a course, but the course will choose you. Sometimes it's as helpless as that.

However, don't underrate any course at all. Most times it's not what you study but character and discipline can take you places. Some courses may not be valuable in Nigeria, doesn't mean it won't be valuable elsewhere. Afterall, we are in the world to succeed and survive. Nigeria must not be the only abode on earth. Think wise and act smart!

Dont mind people, I studied Educational Psychology, I never stepped into the class to teach, but presently I am a senior manager in an Oil and Gas company, you have opportunity to go for a higher course if you choose, no degree is bad, i know someone that studied Adult education and came out with a 3rd class, but today he has 2 private jets and good business here in Nigeria.

Personally, I believe one of these three issue will become a major headline for weeks after the six months elapse.
1. The sole administrator's tenure will be extended by another six months.
2. Fubara and the lawmakers will be reinstated and the impeachment process will be rekindled.
3. Fubara will be reinstated and he will swiftly process his decamping to the APC for protection.

One of these three will happen and none looks good for our democracy.
But what do I know? I am just saying my own.

That’s the big question ₦100 billion allegedly spent in just one month, and yet there’s no clear breakdown or visible impact to show for it. Who is being saved here? Certainly not the people of Rivers State.

If such an amount was truly spent, the citizens deserve full transparency: What was the money used for? On what projects? What progress has been made? Governance is about service and accountability, not secret expenditures or personal battles masked as leadership.

The people are watching, and history will not forget.

Chai, Tinubu, you just saved Fubara. Wike no dey play, we knew the moments the 27 lawmakers issued a letter of gross misconduct against Fubara and Ngozi, he was 80% gone.

impeachment follows a constitutional process, not personal vendettas or political drama. Without the active cooperation of the State Chief Judge, that process cannot even begin, let alone be completed legally.

No matter the level of influence or power anyone thinks they hold, at the end of the day, power belongs to God, and no man can override divine order. It’s good to remember that positions are temporary, but integrity and justice last longer.

This is completely unacceptable. Regarding the ongoing situation in Rivers State, it has been alleged though not yet officially confirmed that over ₦200 billion was discovered in the state's coffers, reportedly saved under Governor Fubara. This revelation may well be the reason behind the sudden interest and involvement of the House of Representatives.

However, the suggestion or move to declare a State of Emergency in a state where there is no evident breakdown of law and order is not only unconstitutional, it is a blatant abuse of power. This is not how democracy works. Such actions must be resisted and stopped immediately, as they set a dangerous precedent that could be replicated in other states, undermining the very foundations of our democratic system.

Former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) over alleged defamatory statements made against him by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central District.

In the petition signed by his lawyer, N.A. Abubakar, to the IGP on Wednesday, Bello called on the police to invite Akpoti-Uduaghan to substantiate her allegations against him with credible evidence.

“Where she fails to do so, cause her to be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of the law for criminal defamation, inciting public disturbance, and spreading false information injurious to public peace,” the lawyer wrote.

The former governor also wrote to Akpoti-Uduaghan, through his lawyer, R.O. Balogun, demanding retraction and public apology over the alleged defamatory statements made against him or face legal consequences.

The former Kogi governor claimed the female lawmaker during a homecoming event on April 1, 2025, in the Okehi Local Government Area of the state “maliciously” defamed him and levelled assassination allegations against him.

Bello said the said actions of the female senator contravened Section 24(1)(b) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) Act, 2015.

“By accusing our client of plotting an assassination and naming him as a co-conspirator in a purported murder plot (with an attempt to disguise the killing as mob or ethnic violence), Sen. Akpoti-Uduaghan has:

“Gravely damaged our client’s reputation by portraying him as a violent and vengeful political actor and misled the public and tried to incite ethnic and political distrust, especially among clans of Ebiraland in particular and the people of Kogi Central in general.

“Brought his name into disrepute on the basis of an allegation so weighty that, if left unchallenged, could harm his political career and personal safety; and abused her parliamentary status and platform by propagating such falsehoods without evidence, in a very public and politically charged setting,” the solicitor said.
