Antoeni: https://punchng.com/fubara-hasnt-sought-forgiveness-wike-replies-tompolo/ Forgiveness? For what exactly? Are we running a constitutional democracy or attending a village meeting? It's unfortunate that we've allowed sentiments to override the rule of law. This is not how a serious nation should function. We are where we are today because personal interests keep trumping the constitution, and it’s a shame. |

frankson1: This is beyond party politics. If the Tinubu administration can complete the Lagos-Calabar project then they should complete the 8yrs instead of it to become another East-West road story. The Benin to Warri Road has been under construction since 1992—decades of promises and nothing to show for it. At this rate, many of us may never drive on that road in our lifetime. It has become yet another symbol of wasteful governance. What’s even more painful is the amount of businesses that were destroyed in the name of progress. Instead of planning a proper reroute that would have preserved livelihoods, they chose a path that crippled entire communities. It’s truly unfortunate that in this country, personal political gains often take priority over national development. Until we start valuing long-term impact over cheap applause, we will keep going in circles |

ChiefOkporghe: I feel people should go beyond party and be all about Governance. Someday, Government would be made up of good and capable people irrespective of their political affiliations. E.g Wike as FCT minister.
We shouldn't just throw away opportunities to work with capable people because they belong to the opposition. Wike has no morals, wrong example. Take Wike for example he’s a classic case of political opportunism. No sense of loyalty, no guiding ideology, and absolutely no moral compass. He is not a role model for principled leadership but rather a symbol of what’s wrong with our political class. His actions have repeatedly shown that he prioritizes personal power plays over party unity or national progress |

fergie001: - Governor Umo Eno It’s honestly shameful how many of these individuals aren’t true party loyalists they're simply driven by personal interests. You claim to be in PDP, yet your statement suggests otherwise. I’m only being objective here. Just as an APC member wouldn’t be expected to support a PDP president, the same standard should apply in reverse. Let’s stop pretending and start being consistent. |

wasol: RIVERS CHIEF MAGISTRATE RESIGNS OVER EMERGENCY RULE
A senior judicial officer in Rivers State, Chief Magistrate K.E. George, has tendered his resignation in protest against the ongoing emergency administration imposed on the state.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Judge of Rivers State, George announced his voluntary retirement, citing the appointment of a “quasi-military administration” as the primary reason for his decision.
“This type of governance system is not only alien but also runs against the hallowed principles of the legal profession,” he wrote.
George, who served the judiciary for 16 years, said continuing in his role under the current political arrangement would imply tacit approval of the emergency governance structure.
President Bola Tinubu, on March 18, 2025, declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, citing a breakdown in governance and political instability. The move led to the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu, and all members of the State House of Assembly.
In their place, Tinubu appointed retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas as the sole administrator for six months to oversee the state’s affairs.
Since assuming office, Ibas has suspended several state officials and initiated new appointments across various institutions—a development that has stirred legal controversy.
#ALFAWILS Tinubu and Wike will bring down everything in Rivers state just to satisfy there needs. |

TrackerSK: Wike has created so many enemies. The romance between him and the drug lord won't last,we are just watching the season movie. This is getting ridiculous. Is Wike the first person to support a candidate? Look at Kaduna El-Rufai supported the current governor, yet today, they’re not even on speaking terms. And their fallout started long before the Wike-Fubara saga. So what’s all this noise about “saving” a governor in Rivers? Declaring a state of emergency over politics? This Tinubu-Wike alliance won’t end well it never does when power plays are built on shaky ground. |

zero8zero: When dollar was 1900 were you not celebrating?, you dullard. I just gave you two factors that have put more pressure on the dollar in the last two weeks, and I also told you some of it have been settled but not everything. That's why Dangote has reduced pump price and Trump has also suspended some tariffs for 90 days. With less pressure on the dollar, the naira is going to rebound. But you have refused to see beyond the empty box on your shoulder, a very empty box. full box how much was the exchange rate when your mentors came on board |

zero8zero: You're a dullard, an empty head. The naira fell from 1500 to 1900 within 6weeks in last year April until it eventually recovered. Since then, it began to stabilize gradually. It has stabilized around 1500 since the beginning of this year. The little setback we have as at two weeks ago was as a result of Trump's tariffs policies and NNPCL inability to continue naira for crude sale. And some of these have been settled now. I know you're very dull, there's nothing in that head. It’s people like you that make ignorance look like a virtue. You’re out here celebrating a Naira at ₦1600 as if that’s an achievement are you even listening to yourself? What was the exchange rate before these clueless leaders took over? You call others dullards, but you can't see the mess right in front of you. Anyone who defends this kind of failure with a straight face isn't just misinformed they're part of the problem. Wake up and stop embarrassing yourself. |
