BlessedGift:Honor your elders, for they are the keepers of wisdom and the foundation of our traditions. By respecting and valuing their experiences, you not only gain their guidance but also foster a legacy of respect that extends to future generations. Remember, honoring your elders brings blessings and contributes to a life of fulfillment and longevity |
yarimo:It seems like you're expressing frustration with the legal system, particularly the jurisdiction of courts and perceived corruption or bias in the handling of cases. The appeal court has consistently emphasized that many cases brought before the Federal High Court fall exclusively under the jurisdiction of the State High Courts. This recurring clarification highlights the importance of properly directing cases to the appropriate legal forum to ensure justice is served within the bounds of the law. It is disheartening, however, to witness a growing perception that some judgments from certain courts, particularly in Abuja, may not always be grounded in merit or law but influenced by extraneous factors. This “cash and carry” reputation undermines the judiciary's integrity and erodes public trust in the system. It is no surprise, then, that such judgments are frequently overturned upon reaching the appellate courts, where impartiality and adherence to legal principles are more rigorously upheld. |

My trip to Calabar for the Christmas holiday and carnival was a rollercoaster of emotions—equal parts joy and frustration. The carnival itself was a vibrant spectacle of colors, music, and cultural displays that left me enthralled. However, my experience at a fast-food eatery along Marian Road cast a shadow on my holiday, and it’s a story that still leaves me with mixed feelings. On Christmas Day, I stopped by the eatery to purchase a birthday cake and some snacks. After selecting the items, I attempted to make payment. The first attempt appeared unsuccessful, so I tried again. This time, the payment went through. Later, when I checked my phone, I realized I had been debited twice. Hoping for an automatic reversal, I waited for a notification that never came. When I followed up with my bank, I was informed that since I had entered my PIN both times, the transaction was valid, and the money had indeed been transferred to the eatery's account. The bank advised me to return to the eatery for a refund. Despite several attempts to resolve the issue with the eatery, the money remains unpaid to date, and I’m left feeling cheated. In contrast, the carnival offered some solace with its lively atmosphere and festive energy. The parades, music, and sense of community were truly memorable, but the incident at the eatery left a sour note in what was otherwise a joyous holiday. Would I visit Calabar again? Absolutely. But next time, I’ll steer clear of that eatery and double-check every transaction As if that wasn’t enough, another incident left me even more frustrated. I took my car to a car wash while I went shopping. When I returned, the cleaning was nearly complete. I waited for the car to be handed over, unaware that money, unknowingly left in the car by my son, had been stolen. This discovery deeply saddened him, casting a shadow over our trip back to Port Harcourt. The journey itself was further dampened by the terrible road conditions from Odukpani to Itu, which made the return trip stressful and exhausting. Despite these setbacks, the carnival was a highlight, filled with joy and cultural pride. However, the challenges I faced served as a reminder to remain vigilant and prepared for the unexpected during travels. |
Christ4ever:Well said. Many people don't realize that Wike is currently fighting for his political survival. Fubara has significantly diminished his influence in Rivers State. The thanksgiving events and rallies are merely attempts to stay relevant, but his grip has already weakened. By 2027, it will become clear that Wike's standing in Rivers State is largely dependent on Tinubu. As things stand, Tinubu no longer needs Wike, but Wike finds himself needing Tinubu more than ever. |
Leobankx:they should be banned |
sapele914:You rush to comment on issues in other states, but what about Delta State? Didn't Okowa betray Ibori and still install his own stooge? Forget all that nonsense you're talking about. Nothing will happen to Fubara. Betrayal and politics go hand in hand; it's normal. Tomorrow, Wike and Fubara will likely align again. As for Wike, he and his goons are done for now. |
tiwasiaife:And so shall it be, you wil never have peace Amen |
Wike, you have elevated yourself to an enviable position. Odilli has attempted to reason with you, but you obstinately refuse to listen, driven by your desire to dominate everyone. The videos remain, showcasing when Patience Jonathan entrusted you to Odilli. Today, you insult him. Previously, you referred to him and his wife as "one man and one woman." The Bible instructs us to honor our parents so that our days may be long. You cannot continue to disrespect everyone just to prove a point. What kind of futile point are you trying to make? |
Shameless lady, you cannot see the good in Canada to compare with Nigeria, only focusing on those collecting palliatives. What about the healthcare, social welfare, jobs, and infrastructure in Canada? |
But Wike is free to go all out insulting others, but when others speak, you blackmail them with elders so they should not speak? Tell your master to forget about Rivers State and focus on his job in the FCT. And he should pray not to fall out of favor with Tinubu, because if he does, that will be his end. |
2025 is not election year, why speak about 2027 election in 2025, do you know if these people will be alive in 2027. |
Dialpad:why dont you take the good from it and forgot how it was generated |

LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional networking platform, has seen a concerning trend on the rise: the rental of LinkedIn accounts. This practice involves individuals leasing their LinkedIn profiles to third parties, often for a fee. While it may seem harmless at first glance, this trend poses significant risks to both individual users and the integrity of the platform as a whole. Here are some reasons why we should be worried: 1. Security Risks: Renting out accounts can lead to unauthorized access to personal and professional information. This not only compromises the account owner's privacy but also puts their network at risk. 2. Misinformation: Third parties may use rented accounts to spread misinformation or engage in fraudulent activities, damaging the credibility of the account holder and potentially harming others in their network. 3. Violation of Terms of Service: Account rental is a clear violation of LinkedIn's terms of service. Users found participating in this practice risk having their accounts permanently suspended, which can have long-term professional repercussions. 4. Damage to Professional Reputation: If the rented account is used unethically, it can tarnish the professional reputation of the original account holder. Employers and colleagues may lose trust in their professional integrity. 5. Impact on LinkedIn’s Credibility: The widespread practice of account rentals can undermine the trust and authenticity that LinkedIn has built over the years. It can lead to a decrease in user engagement and confidence in the platform. What Can Be Done? To mitigate these risks, LinkedIn users should: Be Vigilant: Regularly monitor account activity and report any suspicious behavior. Protect Personal Information: Avoid sharing login credentials and personal information with others. Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with LinkedIn's policies and guidelines to ensure compliance. Encourage Ethical Use: Promote the ethical use of LinkedIn within your professional network and discourage account rentals. . |
dre11:they should slash theirs to N600 |
blueAgent:better sets of fools that they all are like one above me |
yarimo:Who do you think is behind it? Even a blind man can see and know that Wike is behind this. Who stands to benefit more? They will still lose again because this is a state matter and should be handled by the state high court. Instead, they run to Abuja for a case concerning a local government. I refer you back to the last judgment by the Appeal Court concerning the LGA. |
NLCreator:Wike, thread with caution, this one you just de demolition and revoke C of O anyhow, go and focus and infrastructural development, build hospital, schools, improve the road network |
aswani:All states should receive a percentage of what they remit. The person who drafted the current formula should be held arrested. If they are no longer alive, their next of kin should be arrested |
TimeManager:was this built by Wike too, because he is so good at building houses |
hisexcellency34:please tell them |
PressMyButton:But why should they keep an old man i that condition in jail, they have military hospitals can could still arrest him while he gets medical attention. |
dre11:is that an achievement? I say make i ask |
Allotrope69:So you dont Know you they Call OCJ , then dont get involved in discussion relating to Rivers Politics |
Allotrope69:If you know you Know, if you dont know you dont know |
what about him, has he never cheated before. |
bennybuhari:In light of recent events, I must express my disappointment. The appeal court's judgment has brought disgrace to OCJ, especially after you held a press conference defending Justice Peter Lifu's judgment on the LGA elections. This situation serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining respect and integrity. Just as OCJ faced disgrace, a similar fate may await those who do not uphold these values, including you Solomon without Wisdom |
Bendeco02:Wike is a local champion, he can only win the delegates from LGA at the primaries, who dash am presidency, Till tomorrow Atiku will still defeat him at the primaries. |
Nifemy4:Which reside and live in rivers state, ok where in rivers state do you reside. They speak English Livid |
