Infoguy666:Finally Abe don see money for recharged card ![]() |
Mervingreat:you get brain at all, I asked a question you tune am to insults, are you ok, i blame Nairaland for accepting people from mad homes inside here |
tungamaje:Una like to support nonsense. |
Botragelad:Did Hunter kill anyone? I wonder if the parents of George Floyd voted for Trump. |
ManirBK:They are getting close to him, before the end of 1st quarter he would be caught or killed. |
What is happening to Wike, has he lost his control over the NWC? |
trendingnigeria:When people applaud Wike, claiming he has done so well and is the best thing to happen to Nigeria, I can't help but laugh. His focus seems limited to building roads, houses for judges, and courts, nothing beyond that. While infrastructure is important, is building roads the only aspect of development? True progress involves addressing deeper systemic issues like education, healthcare, economic empowerment, industrial growth, and poverty alleviation. We need to wake up and stop celebrating mediocrity. Development should be holistic and impactful, not just about visible projects that barely scratch the surface of what the people truly need. |
Sunnyclip:allow him this same people will turn around to consume him. |
zebszebs:so what was he fighting with all is live for, they should have given him one. |
State001:Is this guy still around, I thought they would have made him a commissioner. |
Nigeria has struggled in leadership and governance, which has impeded its ability to fully leverage its advantages. Specifically: Infrastructure Deficit: Poor infrastructure hampers economic growth and industrial development. Corruption and Mismanagement: Mismanagement of natural resources and systemic corruption stifle progress. Lack of Strategic Investment: Insufficient investment in education, healthcare, and innovation limits long-term development. Security Challenges: Internal instability and insecurity deter foreign investments and disrupt progress. Global Influence: Weak diplomatic and economic presence on the world stage compared to other nations. |
The Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, presided over by Justice Emmanuel Obile, has delivered a ruling on applications in Suit No: FHC/PHC/CS/25/2024, brought by the Labour Party (LP) against the Rivers State House of Assembly and others. The suit seeks to declare the seats of 27 lawmakers, who allegedly defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), vacant. During the ruling on January 21, 2025, Justice Obile rejected the applications by the 1st defendant (Rivers State House of Assembly), 2nd–28th defendants (27 lawmakers), and 29th defendant (PDP), which sought the court’s permission to call oral evidence and file pleadings. The judge held that the defendants failed to establish any conflict in the facts contained in the affidavits before the court to warrant granting the applications. However, in a partial concession under Order 27(1) of the Federal High Court Rules, 2019, Justice Obile permitted the cross-examination of deponents to the affidavits supporting the amended originating summons and the counter-affidavits filed by the defendants. Given the inability of counsels to agree on a hearing date, the court fixed March 11, 2025, for the hearing of the amended originating summons. The Labour Party, through its caretaker chairperson in Rivers State, Hilda Dokubo, filed the suit seeking to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct by-elections to fill the allegedly vacant seats, allowing the LP and other parties to participate. Counsel for the claimant, Clifford Chukwu, emphasized that the lawmakers had publicly announced their defection on various media platforms, including Channels Television and TVC, and even deposed to affidavits confirming the move. He argued that their actions constituted a voluntary relinquishment of their seats under the law. On the other hand, counsel for the defendants, including senior advocates Ferdinand Orbih (SAN) and J. Musa, argued for the court to allow pleadings and oral evidence, stating that the issues were contentious and could not be resolved based on affidavits alone. In a separate but related case, Justice Obile had earlier adjourned to December 7, 2024, to hear a matter filed by Victor Oko-Jumbo and three other assembly members loyal to Governor Siminalayi Fubara. They also seek to declare the seats of the 27 lawmakers vacant and prevent them from parading as members of the Rivers State House of Assembly. http:///a2a8f25250121en_ng?link=1&client=news |
if that would bring about peace in the North, it should be adopted |
chisomkachy:majority of those guys are Wike guys. |
Ojuntana:Yesterday, I withdrew 20k at GTB when I went to get a new ATM card. There wasn’t any queue, so I’ll try again tomorrow since the ATM is just close to my office, to confirm the limit. |
EmperorCaesar:you can also change your name to Tinubu, you wife to Remi and son to Seyi ![]() |
chisomkachy:I’ve decided to stop using POS for cash withdrawals. Instead, I’ll plan ahead and withdraw directly from the ATM near the office, either weekly or bi-weekly. We’ll have to outsmart the system and adapt wisely. |
Mynd44:It’s interesting you bring this up. If we’re being honest, the constant media appearances might create a perception of activity, but actions speak louder than words. When you assess achievements against the funds received and spent, the gaps often become glaring. It’s not just about speaking or projecting but delivering tangible results that reflect the resources invested. For your information, nothing will happen to Ireti, she will be retuned back by her people, Wike cant even vote in Abuja, he will be in Rivers state fighting for his life. |
Afolue:The usual grace, just like the Grace I de use very normal ![]() |
Afolue:Hard work, experience and Grace |
Afolue:Guy leave that thing, men they collect. make i know talk, what is 1M ? |

Bookhub:who told you that? lot of people here far more than that. |
obasanjonews:Who cares, a beg go rest. |
Airtel, why do you continue marketing and selling your MiFi devices knowing full well that you have serious challenges with your network? I recently purchased one last week Tuesday, bundled with 30GB of data meant to last for a month. However, since the purchase, the device has not worked. I returned it to the retailer after two days, and I was informed that the network issues were acknowledged and would be resolved within 48 hours. It has now been over 72 hours since that timeframe elapsed, yet nothing has changed. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable, especially for a service I paid for in good faith. What’s even more baffling is that, despite this poor service, you’re still asking for a tariff review. How can you justify increasing prices when customers are dealing with such unreliable service? Please address this issue urgently, as this level of service is damaging to customer trust and confidence. |
pongwa:The certficates he had was it acquired in his local language ? |
