Brendaniel:Very true |
If the elections were between Atiku(PDP) and Tinubu(APC),then it will probably mean Atiku winning in a landslide The reason is that outside the South West, Tinubu has no chance of defeating Atiku anywhere else in Nigeria |
In what looks like a denial of Monday’s disturbances in Enugu State, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has asked South East governors and security operatives to penalise purported enforcers of the suspended sit-at-home order in the region. In a statement issued yesterday, by Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Emma Powerful, the group distanced itself from the shootings in Enugu State that disrupted economic activities. The violence resulted in the burning of cars, while some residents were injured. It insisted that those enforcing the Monday sit-at-home directive were sponsored hoodlums and cultists, restating that IPOB suspended the exercise since September last year. “The attention of IPOB has been drawn to the shootings in Enugu on Monday by hoodlums and cultists recruited and sponsored by some politicians in the state who derive joy in spilling blood of their fellow citizens. “We have explained severally that IPOB has not authorised anybody to enforce Monday sit-at-home, which has been suspended since September 19, 2021. Anybody unleashing terror on innocent citizens, in the guise of enforcing the sit-at-home order is a criminal and does not deserve pity. “Despite the suspension of the directive, some unscrupulous elements and criminals conniving with security agencies and enemies of Ndigbo have continued to inflict pain on our people. Their aim is to blackmail IPOB but they will continue to fail,” the statement reads. IPOB stressed the need for the people to stand firm and fight for their liberty, adding that it did not ask anybody to enforce sit-at-home. It said henceforth, operatives of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) would go after the criminals unleashing mayhem on innocent people and visitors to Biafra land in the name of enforcing a non-existent sit-at-home order on Mondays. “We also ask Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to deal decisively with any hoodlum using the sit-at-home order to torture innocent citizens and residents of the state. No genuine member of IPOB or ESN operative is involved in the enforcement of sit-at-home order. Anybody doing so is working against the restoration of Biafra Republic. “We urge our people and members of the public to arrest anyone caught inflicting sorrow on the people in the name of enforcing non-existent Monday sit-at-home order. Such persons and messengers of death do not deserve to live. “Those shooting sporadically in the market and parts of Enugu State are criminals and bandits using IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and ESN to humiliate our people and demonise the movement. Their aim is to give the Federal Government an excuse to hold Kanu perpetually in detention,” the statement added. https://guardian.ng/news/ipob-disowns-enforcers-of-sit-at-home-order-condemns-shootings-in-enugu/ |
LegendHero:Some things dont sit well with Tinubus age. Late Afenifere spokesman, Yinka Odumakin, said in 2019 that Tinubus first wife died at the age of 74, making her almost 10 years older than Tinubu at the time. He also said that Tinubus own immidaite older sister has a son,the Governor of Osun State, just three years younger than Tinubu. She would have had to have that son at less than 10 years old for that to be possible |
No Nigerian President has ever lifted Nigerians out of poverty, period! If anything, Nigerians only sink deeper into poverty with every Nigerian President Nigeria is one country where every President seems to do a worse job than his predecessor, then blame his predecessor for it |
udele1:Im not going to waste my data watching a video when I have here the statement of the official spokesman of IPOB |
IPOB has consistently condemned and denounced anyone enforcing sit at home that was cancelled since September last year Its apparent that the hoodlums enforcing lockdown order, that doesnt even exist, are criminals acting on their own, and not for IPOB |
Self-determination group, Indigenous People of Biafra, has vowed to deploy operatives of its militia arm, Eastern Security Network, to arrest and punish criminals enforcing sit-at-home in the South East. According to the group, some politicians were working with security agents to unleash terror on innocent residents under the pretext of enforcing the canceled sit-at-home to give IPOB a bad name. IPOB said this in reaction to reports that gunmen razed vehicles and shot sporadically into the air to disperse people in their quest to enforce Monday sit-at-home in Enugu. In a statement by the group's spokesperson, Emma Powerful, on Tuesday, IPOB said those enforcing the sit-at-home will have themselves to blame. The group also called on governors in the region to provide adequate security for the people, so as to bring those who are enforcing sit-at-home to justice. The statement reads, "The attention of the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra has been drawn to the senseless shooting in Enugu State on Monday by hoodlums and cultists recruited and sponsored by some politicians in the state who derive joy in spilling blood of their fellow citizens "We have severally explained that IPOB has not authorised anybody to enforce Monday sit-at-home which has been suspended since September 19, 2021. Anybody unleashing sorrow on innocent citizens under the guise of enforcing sit-at-home order is a criminal and does not deserve pity. "Despite the suspension of Monday sit-at-home since 19th of September 2021, some unscrupulous elements and criminals conniving with security agencies and our enemies have continued to inflict pain on our people. Their aim is to blackmail IPOB but they will continue to fail. "Now, we want to inform our people to stand firm in the fight for their liberty. IPOB did not ask anybody to enforce sit-at-home of any kind. Henceforth, ESN operatives will come from the bushes and forests and go after these criminals unleashing mayhem on innocent people and visitors to Biafra land in the name of enforcing non-existent Monday sit-at-home order. "We also ask Enugu State governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, to also deal decisively with any hoodlum using Monday sit-at-home to tortore innocent citizens/residents of the state. No genuine member of IPOB or ESN operative is involved in any enforcement of Monday sit-at-home order. Anybody doing so is working against Biafra restoration. "We equally call on our people and members of the public to skin alive, any idiot caught inflicting sorrow on the people in the name of enforcing non-existent Monday sit-at-home order. Such evil soul and messenger of death doesn't deserve to live. "Those shooting sporadically in the market are criminals and bandits using the name of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu and ESN to humiliate our people and demonise the movement. Their aim is to give the federal government excuse to hold our leader perpetually in detention. "ESN operatives must be ready to confront criminals creating these problems in the name of ESN and IPOB in the region. We have suspended Monday sit-st-home long time ago, and we have not rescinded that decision. Biafrans must be strong to withstand our enemies and their collaborators every Monday. "IPOB was not formed to terrorise people. We remain peaceful and focused on the pursuit of Biafra freedom and independence. "Governor Ugwuanyi and other Governors in the region must provide security for our people on Mondays because ESN is now ready to confront these criminals. "Nobody should link IPOB or ESN with these bunch of crimial acts in our region and those enforcing non-existent Monday sit-at-home order. How can we stop sit-at-home and turn around to compel people to observe it? IPOB are not hypocrites and we must come out victorious. "The media should stop linking IPOB and ESN with the criminals behind this sad development. They are not our members and we can never accommodate these kind of criminals in our movement and family of IPOB http://saharareporters.com/2022/01/11/eastern-security-network-deal-criminals-enforcing-sit-home-south-east-ipob |
udele1:You were so pained that this womans car was destroyed in Enugu, but not really pained that Fulani herdsman killed several people in Eha-Amufu, Enugu. Your own pain is about car, not human life. Your pain is useless pain I hope whoever destroyed this woman car, over sit at home that IPOB has long rescinded and cancelled, is arrested and brought to book. However, I hope that the armed killer herdsmen who massacred my fellow Igbos in Eha-Amufu, Enugu state, will burn in hell for their actions A car can be repaired, but human life has no part 2. |

Movic1:You answered your own question, Igbos dont like the man and they are not hiding it So what is the problem? Or did you expect everyone to love Tinubu? |
seunmsg:Did you expect everyone to love Tinubu? |
IGBOSON1:Forget these BMC idiots mentioning IPOB. They want everyone to believe they care so much about insecurity in the South East but not one of them said anything in the thread about herdsmen killing scores of people in Enugu yesterday. Here they are talking nonsense over a few damaged cars. They heard people were killed in Enugu by herdsmen, they said nothing because it cant be blamed on IPOB As soon as the heard that some hoodlums destroyed some cars while enforcing sit at home, they all ran in here to comment because it is the perfect opportunity to blame IPOB. Damaged cars meant more to them than the human lives snuffed out by herdsmen in Enugu These people dont care about Igbos, all they care about is fighting IPOB |
bablon20:No they will support the herdsmen who massacred people in Enugu 2 days ago |
MARKone:We already know how Nigeria is, 200 people killed in Zamfara last week has already shown us |
I remember something former PDP Chieftain in the South West, Bode Johnson, said a while ago. That if former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu, ever declares his intention to become President, him and others would expose certain secrets they know about him, including his real age. Although Tinubu is 69 years old, it has been said that his real age is closer to 80. APC will no doubt have a screening committee for its aspiring presidential candidates. If what is said about Tinubu being over 80 years is true, you can bet that his political enemies are going to begin gathering evidence to that effect soon. If successfully proven that Tinubu is not the age he says he is, there's no way the Screening committee won't disqualify him. |
Reality3080:What did you expect? Igbos generally dont like Tinubu, not everyone will like Tinubu |
Alaigbopress:Nigerians are not united enough to rally round any of these men |
The world is gradually turning away from fossil fuel. In just 9 years time, 2030, most countries in Europe will ban the sale of diesel and petrol cars. In less than 20 years time, crude oil will be a worthless product. As the world turns to alternative sources of clean energy, gas is set to be a gold mine The South East of Nigeria is sitting on top of trillions of cubic feet of natural gas, making it it an area with one of the largest gas deposits in Africa. Northern Nigeria is already thinking about that gas money and they want a chunk of it. As calls to secede increase amongs Igbos in the South East and South South, gas is going to play a major role in the decision to secede or allow secession One of the biggest reasons why the North will stand against secession is the gas deposits in the South East |
chatinent:No, just going past |
I was in a bus going into West Green Road, by Seven Sisters Station, North London, when I saw some Biafrans gathered with pictures of Nnamdi Kanu and a loud speaker. I heard the group say over the loud speaker that they are Biafrans who live on West Green Road who have come out to celebrate Nnamdi Kanu, today being his birthday. I managed to take two pictures before my bus moved on. I dont know any Igbo man alive that would be celebrated this way on their birthday on a side street in London Nnamdi Kanu is no doubt the most loved Igbo man alive by his people

SARSCoV2:But it wont stop the Biafran struggle. |
Ekpeitit:The noise for Biafra hasn't even started. Get used to it, you will be hearing it all your life until a referendum is granted |
The struggle for freedom has no expiry date |
The biggest news in Nigeria today is that Nnamdi Kanu was arrested. The biggest news in Ghana today is that Toyota has opened a plant there to build cars and sell in Nigeria. Ghana is arresting poverty, while Nigeria is arresting people! Why wont Ghana progress? Nigeria banned Twitter, and Ghana welcomed Twitter. Nigeria banned Cryptocurrencies, while Ghana is banking on its own cryptocurrency. You can now see that it is not size that makes a country the Giant of Africa. The elephant is the giant of the jungle, but it is the lion that is the king of the jungle. Never be intimidated by a person’s size. If giant size is not accompanied by giant intellect, it will end up as a giant liability! |
vasel15:If you feel that Nnamdi Kanu is not doing the right thing, start your own group and things as you feel it should be done Asari Dokubo, an Ijaw man, did not like Nnamdi Kanu style and be declared his Biafran customary government You dont have to wait fir Nnamdi Kanu to give you Biafra, go and get it your self |
Vaughanlanrewaj:The map you are showing does not show the water ways of Nigeria, it doesnt even show the River Niger. If you see a map of Nigeria's water ways, you would find out that Obeaku in Abia State and Oguta River in Imo state, empty into the Atlantic Ocean and River ports can be built there. Lets not forget that the narrow Suez Canal below handles far more Shipping than Nigeria. This one is even a canal and not a River

HEAR WHAT THE FORMER GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE SAID. IKEDI OHAKIM (former governor of Imo state) wrote: Please, let it be known from today that South East is not landlocked. It is only our economy that is locked. One quick way of unlocking the economy of South East is through marine business. Contrary to the impression that the South East is landlocked, the truth is that it has one of the potentially deepest seaports in the country at Osemoto/Oseokwa in Imo and Anambra States. A seaport was designated there in 1959, but the project was abandoned and the admiralty membership erased for obvious political reasons. African Development Bank (ADB) feasibility report on this is unambiguous. Oseokwa (Ihiala LGA, Anambra State) and Osemoto (Oguta LGA, Imo State) are the deepest natural harbors in the country (over 20m deep) and offer real naval and marine transportation platforms if developed. Besides, it lies only 18 nautical miles to the Atlantic Ocean and a strategic hub for the oil industry and inland dry-docks to promote trade. This potential seaport has the capacity of handling over 35 per cent of marine business in Nigeria. As a matter of fact, it was the attraction to these potentials that made my administration in Imo state to site the Oguta Wonder Lake and Resort Centre in the area to encourage the federal government and foreign investors. If Ndigbo pursue and complete the seaport, it will also open up over 3,000 square kilometers of the most fertile agricultural land that has one of the highest alluvial deposits which has been in existence for well over a million years. My pursuit of this revolutionary project attracted both national and international panic and may have cost me second tenure as governor (see “Demoracy By Military Tank” by Ethelbert Okere). This deep seaport will create over two million jobs, directly and indirectly, in marine business, oil and gas, power, education, housing, agro-food industry, entertainment, tourism, etc. With that type of setting, Igbo youths will have no need to crisscross the country in search of jobs and in the process endangering their young lives. Excerpts of his lecture delivered at the First International Chinua Achebe Conference held at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State, on Tuesday 23 May, 2017. |
During his interview by Arise Tv, Buhari said he was happy because he heard that the South South geopolitical zone had decided to remain part of Nigeria and would deny the South East access to the sea should the South East become an independent country. Do not be deceived by Buhari, even without the South South, the South East has access to the sea, here is why A lie when told for many times and for so long unchallenged transforms into a truth , one of such is the horrible falsehood institutionally unveiled and allowed to prevail by the oppressive Nigeria government backed by hausa Fulani oligarchy and Yoruba hegemony after the Nigeria /Biafra civil War that ALA IGBO is landlocked (that Igboland has no access to sea), This conspiracy was one of their strategies meant to scheme NDIGBO out of economic relevance in Nigeria.. This exposition is meant to debunk this age long lie from the pit of hell with the truth, the truth of the rich, easy to explore and harnessed potential seaport in ALAIGB O. You can easily confirm this TRUTH if you know how to read Google Earth or walking through these areas by foot and canoe or flying boat as the case may be. Meanwhile, I cannot go on without making mention of the scope of ALAIGBO (Igboland) in Nigeria. What is geographically known as Igbo land today is far smaller than what it was and legally supposed to be. As far back as 1856, Baikie- one of the earliest and credible geographers of ancient Nigeria had this to say “ Igbo homeland, extends east and west from the Old kalaber river to the bank of Kwora, Niger river, and possesses also some territory at Aboh. an Igbo clan, to the west-ward of the later stream. On the North it borders on Igara, Iigala and Akpoto, and it is separated from the sea only by petty tribes , all of which trace their origin to this great race” (Baikie, William Balfour’ Published with a sanction of her Majesty’s government in 1856). But with that infamous post-War abandoned property policy and the egregious institutional injustices in boundary adjustments and the widespread anti-Igbo gerrymandering, Igbos physically and psychologically lost their vested ancestral lands, all to the point of not caring anymore about their historical contiguity to the Atlantic, which their ancestors beheld and called the ‘Great Sea’. The psychological beat-down got so bad that some of the descendants of these Igbo ancestors (nearest to the Atlantic and now lying outside Southeast) are no longer sure whether they are Igbo or not. The worst injustice was In 1976 when the Justice Nasir Boundary Adjustment Commission made a serious and targeted agenda of carving out core Igboland territories into some neighboring States of the South-South. But they didn’t quite make an absolute success of it. They missed the southernmost Southeast lands that possess Rivers that meandered through slices of Igbo-friendly South-South territories and ended up at the Atlantic, thus unwittingly placing Igboland and its right of access to the sea under the canons of customary international law. POTENTIAL SEAPORTS IN ALAIGBO: ALL ARE CLOSER TO ATLANTIC OCEAN THAN OTHER SEAPORTS IN NIGERIA. With reference to the seaports outside the present South East and without equivocating non of them was of less nautical miles than those in the south east which were abandoned. In lay man’s understanding a nautical mile is about 1.8 kilometers. To be sure, Ikwerre land or Igweocha which bears the greater portions of the Portharcourt seaport was dredged up to 50 nautical miles to the Atlantic front through the Bonny River. Onne seaport was dredged up to 60 nautical Miles to the Atlantic and Calabar seaport was dredged 45 nautical miles to the Atlantic. Ibaka seaport is about 30 nautical miles to the Atlantic and the Lagos seaports was dredged up to about 50 nautical miles to the Atlantic. NOW CHECK IN ALAIGBO (SOUTH EAST) A. Azumiri (blue River) in Abia State, which is a large and deep body of water is 30 nautical miles to Atlantic Ocean ( strategically located for a seaport, connecting Rivers State, Akwaibom State, and Abia State) B. Obeaku- Ndoki River Is 25 nautical miles to Atlantic Ocean and is another potential seaport waiting for our use. C. Oseakwa (River Ulasi) Ihiala Anambra State that is linked to Osemoto Oguta River Imo State Is only 18 nautical miles to Atlantic Ocean with 20m deep without dredging. Do you know that Ulasi is the deepest River in Nigeria, (Strategically located connecting Anambra Imo, Delta, Beyelsa and Enugu) Why do we have Moribund Seaports in Igbo land? It’s deliberate orchestration and conspiracy to under develop Igboland instituted by the Hausa Fulani oligarchy. Knowing very well that functional seaport in igboland is very strategic for the economic development of Alaigbo A functional seaport is the only way to transform ala Igbo to economic hub of West Africa. *The economic destiny of Ndi Igbo lies in Maritime business.. * Ndi Igbo must rise now to seek for economic survival. Have you seen that the notion “ Igboland is landlocked” is a garbage from our adversaries meant to scheme ndigbo out from economic power . We must break this conspiracy and make Ala Igbo prosperous and economic hub of Africa. |
The son of the former vice-president of Biafra, Philip Effiong Jr, will be addressing the Coastal Biafrans this weekend in an interactive session Coastal Biafrans are made up Ijaws, Ogoni, Ibibios and many other tribes of the old Eastern Region that live predominantly on the coast. Their agitation is for the actualisation of the Republic of Biafra. The group is led an Ijaw called Tumuno Tonye and an Ogoni called Onajuite. They also run 'Coastal Biafra TV' Contrary to some insinuation that Biafra is an Igbo affair, there many people and tribes of the South South who are actively advocating to be part of it General Philip Effiong was the vice president of the Republic of Biafra from inception, he was also the last president of Biafra

spearman:Of course Asaba voted to be part of the Midwest Region, it was the only way they could get out of the old Western Region dominatd by Yorubas. Prominent Asaba sons who fought for Biafra include Lt Colonel Joe "Hannibal" Achuzia and Colonel Ochei Asaba people have never denied being Igbo. Infact, the official website of Asaba says that Asaba people are Igbos, and the 95 year old king of Asaba, Obi Chike Edozien, said on that website in 2011, that he is a proud Igbo man, the link is below. In the event that Nigeria breaks up and the South East goes as Biafra, where do you think the Asaba people will want to be? You think they will want to be in Delta State with other tribes they dont even understand their language, or follow their kith and kin to Biafra? Of course they are going with kin https://asaba.com/asagba-of-asaba-i-am-a-proud-igbo-son/
