And then there was 1.
Sadly the Nissan xterra came back with brake binding issues after the front wheels became so hot, there was an over flow of brake fluid from container, it droped on the exhaust and there was fire on the right wheel
We will check caliper pistons for stiffness, master cylinder for blockage, and abs pump for malfunction.

Car Talk › Re: URGENT! My 2003 Accord Transmission Just Stalled. by GAZZUZZ(m): 8:00am On Jul 22, 2015 |
adanny01: Guys, my car is at it again.
I had engine mount problems which led to my replacing the rear and the left engine mounts this afternoon. There was tight space to remove the bad rear mount. The mechanic had to move it repeatedly pushing stuff out of the way. Engine harness passes around there to the ECU.
All repairs finished with good result and even took it to car wash 300m away for only external wash. I left the car wash and 500m away CEL came on with D light flashing and N light staying lit. I parked, scanned and got P0705 same code from beginning of this thread. I checked to see if they pushed out any electrical connector especially one that leads to Park/neutral position switch but did find any. I cleared the cel hoping my little trouble shoot would hv accidentally solved the problem. I got the cel the next 500m. It still drives good and shifts well too. The cel keeps coming back after few minutes of driving.
I dont know if i should investigate the ECU for water like last time or what? The problem isnt exactly like before with this one less DTC's and less errors diaplayed at the instrument panel. The coincidence with all the activity around the engine harness gives me concern. Re-adjust park neutral switch, if it does not work have it replaced. It's on front right side near the wheel. https://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/rmldaytona/2012-03-24_225304_1.gif |

igbsam: Hi guys, my Honda Accord does something that pisses me off.
First of all, it does this delay start. Whenever i try to turn on the engine, it wont do that, i will have to do it more than 2-4 times before it turns on.
Secondly, when it starts at times, the throttle will refuse to respond or rev. I will have to turn it off and then turn it on again, and when i try to rev it, it will respond or sometimes wont. I'll have to keep turning it on and off until it responds and then will move.
What could be the cause of this ? Mechanics are just saying all kinds of stuffs that i don't understand. Scan but seems like and engine ecm error. Could also be a tps error. For a fix 08023251039 lagos |

chukel: this is exactly what i am suffering now. changed my brake pads 2 months ago as a preventive measure. afterwards i started hearing some clunking sound, grinding sound (only once in the morning when pulling out and applying brakes) then brake drag, and increased fuel consumption. then i started hearing some intermittent squeaky sound all from the same rear passenger tire. went back, we dismantled the caliper, greased the components and coupled back. symptoms lessened, then appeared with greater intensity. i came back from church on sunday, raised the car on jack and discovered tyre couldnt spin on its own (except with so much force from me). removed tyre, dismantled caliper and behold, upper caliper bolt was well bent. unfortunately couldnt get it in bayelsa. will be sourcing for it in PH tomorrow. gazzuz, is there any greater problem this might have caused to any other component? Uneven wear on the brakepads. Heat might have made the o rings in the caliper and piston weak. (not too likely) |

Siena lower control arms down. Now if you ever want to buy any part that has a bushing, always go with a long screwdriver, stick it in the center and tilt sideways. our brothers in the toks market like using superglue to hide cracks on bushings and paint over it, this test will catch any fraudulent part dealer. Old and new control arms with bushings in pic below.

Will continue with the accord later tonight.
Next.
2011 hyundai sonata 2.4 liter GDI. Was towed to our office.
Not cranking.
Installed another battery and car started, allowed to run for 30mins and car refused to crank.
Battery was tested in another vehicle and cranks fine.
Primary fault is starter motor.
Vehicle was also scanned comprehensively and it had Evap codes (powertrain), and steering angle sensor with the anti skid warning on.
We will start by removing the starter motor whic is under the intake manifold.
