Gazzuzz, please help out with solution on P0500 and P0440.
Had to engage to L1 when the vehicle didn't accelerate again to be able to park by the side of the road.

Sorry bro, been under some evil vehicles all day.

P0500 Basically this means that the vehicle's speed as read by the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is not working properly.

P0440 this is an evaporation emmision code.


The p0500 will make gear selection become impossible, the vss is mounted on the gear near the entry of the inner Cv joints.

Took the mdx on a small 10km trip after the harness repair, so far no codes, if none in the morning I will update and deliver vehicle after a wash.

Long crack on 2 of the sparkplug coils.

I cranked engine anyway, it idled rough and shut down. It also bunt the efi fuse.

All engine coils will have to be replaced.

Please note timing marks on the 1AZ engine should be set by the colour markings on the chain and pulley and not the positions on the block.

Engine out.

MDX 2004

Started the car this morning, and the check engine light came up.

Same code.

Now if you have been following you will remember the last CSV valve was shorted this would cause a fuse to burn or a resistor in engine ECU to burn out. I'll be checking all fuses and if non, trace the pinouts for the CSV valve back to the engine Ecu and fix the burn out.

The edge my Honda Bullet 1.8 litre engine has over other 2.0 automatic brand is the ability to rev the manual gear Up to 75kmph on 2nd gear. You need to feel The power. It's unexplainable.! I've taken out corollas, camrys, especially the legendary pencil light ,easily, easily in traffics and drag races. Some peeps back out cause they can't risk burning their auto gear box which cost an arm and a testicle

You can actually hit 90km/hr in 2nd gear and 140km/hr in third.

nope. smooth when it starts ... and never stops... but if u switch off and maybe try to start.. it won't make a sound...meanwhile everything works at the same time.. ac radio. lights... just the engine won't kick. or make a sound

Thermostat removed and tested in boiling water, but remained closed.

Thermostat will be replaced.

Old csv valve is shorted.

New one is sourced from ladipo, put as a complete Evap unit, including charcoal canister and pressure sensor, but only the csv. Valve will be removed and used.

Toyota matrix 2004 all solenoids replaced filter replaced, oil filtered and filled up.

Waiting for a test drive.

Wasn't shifting into 3rd gear and 4th gear
Fans are connected directly

Repair history
Customer had already taken vehicle for a gear service and was told to replace gear box

Investigation reveals
1. two solenoids not working after testing with a 9v battery.....there were actually blocked and stuck and wld have to be replaced.
2. Transmission filter was torn open by the previous technician that worked on it and is most likely the cause of the blocked and stuck solenoids

Pls I need urgent help.I serviced my car engine&gear last week Monday&travelled with it to Osun State.I discovered that the light on d D4 was blinking&the car was jerking to select&not driving well.I stopped to check what the problem was but detected nothing.So whenever it starts blinking&jerking before changing gear,i switch off the ignition&put on again then it starts working fine.For sometime, It accelerated&drove well.But came back again on the return journey to Ibadan.Again I had a smooth ride to Lagos from Ibadan.I Complained to my Mechanic who said it was the oil used(Sea horse) that I'll need to change it.I did that yesterday to Holts& d problem went wild.This time,it doesn't select at all, still blinks on the dash board.early this morning,I tried taking it to the mechanic only to discover that it goes offwhenever I put on drive but the reverse is still good.
Pls I need ur suggestions as this will help my decision.

I see a gearbox replacement coming up very soon with the way you are going with transmission oils.

It's obviously a honda and it's from 98 upwards.

Proper transmission oil is Dw1 and you have to completely flush. Meaning you need 6quarts.

A quart costs 3,000.
