Thanks for the good work you're doing here OP. I drive a good ol' Camry v6 (orobo) and recently changed the dryer and compressor after refilling and it wasn't working (not been used in ages). Well, it's working now trouble is, it only chills in cool weather. When its hot weather, it simply blows slightly cool air. The cool/warm control knob is stuck and won't budge(don't know if it's the problem)

I have used the services of 3 different A/C techs and their verdicts were the same: No problems with your A/C.

However, you'll need a hand fan if you use it in hot weather.

Can you help?

Just read and found this won't work if you are far away. So as for people hoping to track your stolen car with this, am sorry it won't work if said car is not within your vicinity. No repair done on the car prior to now, the mechanic diagnosed yesterday and came up with the code.

This issue ranges from faulty timing Assembly,camshaft sensor issue,OCV solenoid ,wiring issue ,faulty vvt actuator or ECM.
The car apparently needs to be fully diagnosed to pinpoint the issue accurately to avoid trial and error.
It you are in Lagos ,contact autologic @08061166316(call/whatsapp) for diagnosis and fix .

What network does this GPS work on? Does it connect to your phone wireless by Bluetooth tooth, wifi or gsm.

All the cars you have chosen before are good. But you can't differentiate from SUV and CUV. the 4runner is fitted with a 3.4L V6 engine Goodluck finding the 2.7L I4 as the one have seen came with manual transmission and extremely scarce.

If the rav4 is your choice stay away from the 02-05 year as a factory defect accompanied it.

Please decided what you need, I have not seen a grand Canyon in Nigeria before to require you buying a suv. There are other reliable CUV with good ground clearance that will do the job. Let's know your budget.

1. Scrap the 03-04 pathfinder off your list they are extremely expensive
2. Scrap the 2001 4runner from your list, you can't get them cheaper than 1.4m could be more now
3. Scrap the 2002 rav4 from your list as they start from 1.5m upwards except you are comfortable with manual transmission.

Kia sportage
Hyundai tucson
Escape/tribute/marineer
Honda crv2003 downwards

I recently refilled my refrigerant, my mech just emptied 2 cans of snow refrigerant. Is that good enough? Is snow a good brand? What will happen if it's under/over charged.
The car is winter chilled tho.

Our ac mechanic here normally collect 3500 for the so call 2kg r134 they are against buying good cheb freon r134 for 1k

I have a toyota camry. The A/C has been good until recently. Once I put on the A/C through the knob, the A/C button comes on with a green light and starts working, but sooner, the green light starts blinking and the compressor cuts off. I have been advised to run the wire to the Knob or change the A/C button totally. Please advise. Many thanks.

Bros leave story ,pay a mechanic to look for engine for you before before you get more confused cos I no even understand you again if it is crankshaft you want buy or engine .
