I am interested in the result of the poll which so far is indicating that more people believe its real than otherwise. But it appears that people are contradicting themselves. The topic is specific on - wait for it - FALLING. So what's all this talk about it being real but you don't have to fall? As far as I'm concerned, if you say falling is not necessay, then you believe that when people fall, it's not real.

Based on the above, those who believe it's not real are winning by far. This is the correct position. Most rational people know it can't be real but because God is mentioned, they let it pass.

When searching for things about The Holy Spirit and the Kingdom of God, spend less time reading those newspaper headlines and dedicate, more time in reading your bible. In the Bible you find several people behaving in different "funny ways" when the Holy Spirit is manifesting through them ( Saul, Paul, Barnabas, Elijah etc) Many Neo Pentecostal Pastors tend to place emphasis on "falling in the spirit" and some even train younger Pastors on how to do it! Let God be the Judge, and let man be the liar. I cant say anymore.

In many ways, The Holy Spirit interacts with people who have Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and who are living true to that calling (whether by falling under the anointing, speaking in tongues, inexplicable joy and laughter, sudden surge of super human strength, calmness, etc). However, a forum like this is not the place for exposition on such issues.

The poster's (QuotaSyste's) views and line of argument is a sad commentary about everything wrong about this country. Nobody admits that he owns part of the responsibility for the problem in his neighborhood. The best people can do is to keep pointing accusing fingers at so called illiterate and embezzling ruling class. No country ever moves forward this way. While I think things are quite bad in Nigeria, I also think this poster's report is heavily flawed, lacks validity, and stems from someones frenzied imaginations. So my friend, relax and stop causing unnecessary panic.

The Central Bank had never hidden its intention to make the Nigerian banking system measure up to speed. But the main problem the apex body has got to deal with is the issue of monitoring and enforcing standard compliance. It bespeaks imagination to think that the amount of shit-service the likes of Union bank and UBA had been dishing to their customers had been going on for so long whilst unchecked. The real pain is that in Nigeria, if such Banks were sued for failure to deliver promised service, nothing will come out of such law suits. So sad!

Yes. Agreed that we are not totally clear about the dynamics of the transaction the poster had with Union bank, but that doesn't change the fact that Union bank has just not woken up to the realities of modern day banking. That bank's services is still reeling in the 80's! The last time I was in the bank, there was these fat rotund rude woman with an ugly twitch on her face that make her seem like someone is sticking up a rod up her a**se. The woman and the staff at the bank were behaving as if they were doing us a favour by even listening to our complaints then. The whole bank hall was scattered, everything lying everywhere. Common man, This kind of forum talk is necessary to highlight the substandard practices in the banking system. The customers surely deserve better!

That's one hell of a bank that just blankly refused to modernize. Came to Naija 2years ago and went to the bank with a friend, the queue at the bank lobby was appalling. To make matters worse, the place was as hot as hell becos the bank was running on a small gen that couldn't support the central AC. Twas a very big banking complex but a lot of the staff were acting unprofessionally, and there seem to be a lot of redundancy around while the customers where spending a life time on the queue! I told my friend he must be wacky for sticking with such a horror of a bank. Twas a shame of a bank.

I am really surprised about the kind of freaky emotion being displayed about this Mikel thing. For one thing, I cannot join this "destroy him" band wagon that is calling for Mikel's head. I cannot afford to be a two-faced idiot! I wont condemn the guy with this same mouth that I have used to praise Mikel as being one of the hope of Nigerian football. No Hunger in Nigeria, Says Ex Agric Minister

Minister of Agriculture in the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Alhaji Adamu Bello, has dismissed  claim that Nigeria was facing food crisis, saying the country was blessed and not among “hunger nations.”
Food Agricultural Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations (UN) recently classified some countries as ‘hunger nations’.
Bello, who said he took responsibility for all the actions and inactions of the Ministry of Agriculture under the Obasanjo government, added that Nigeria was not faced with food  crisis.

The inability of the Nigerian government to solve power problem for the past 30years is partly due to ineptitude and corruption. However, the bulk of the problem lies in the dark electricity politics being played by "principalities and powers" in the high places of Power in Nigeria. The senator Smart Adeyemi fully understands this. You guys on this forum may continue blowing hot and cold and go into seizures for all that you care about - without the removal of that cabal that had placed the Nigerian power sector in it's grip, Power efficiency in Nigeria will remain a mirage.
For this reason I fully agree with the Senator, Lucabresi and every other person supporting banning of generators. When you've declared a state of emergency, you must do things in a drastic manner. However, Gbosko Alhaji is now concerned about the life and property of this poor zealous Senator who had just disturbed the hornet's nest!

Any claim that UNILAG or UI, or any university in the Sub-Sahara is better than OAU-Ife can be nothing but a display of raving disillusive fanaticism. Obviously a lot of guys that come on this thread to make those claims have never been to OAU-Ife. Take a pilgrimage to Ile-Ife, book a room at Hotel Diganga, and visit OAU every day for 1week, and you would whimper in shame for appearing like a fool to the glaring view of over one million better informed Nairalanders. The cost of building OAU-Ife will build at least six Unilag campuses and any comparison between the two is pure silly-babyish-naughtiness!

What we see in Nigeria today and many parts of the world is a clear failure of the church system. Nigeria has the second largest population of professing Xtians (after USA) yet the country is languishing in corruption and abject poverty. And dat's an irony cos most prosperous countries of the world have their foundation and systems rooted in the God od the Xtian church.
The reason why a lot of people's zeal for church going is waxing cold is because it's becoming obvious that the proliferated church assemblies in Nigeria has failed to affect our society for the better. The churches has virtually stopped speaking out against the injustices in the society and many churches have gone into partnership with the government and politicians to institute systematic robbing of the poor citizens.
The truth is bitter and it is with a pain heart that I write these things. However, Gbosko Alhaji will continue going to church here in USA. I will not stop going to church becos I've decide to stop seeing that pastor with an attitude and that church member behaving weird. I will continue church going because while I focus on Christ, my hunger for seeking him and going to wherever his name is being proclaimed will not wax cold. NOF said.

For a couple formerly sleeping in same room, that point when they decide to start sleeping in separate rooms is a late indication of marriage crisis. Be not deceived, there is no smoke without fire. If you find your spouse and yourself so drifted apart to the point that you're both beginning to lose the urge to sleep together in the same room, take the initiative and save your marriage. Talk it over and get yourselves back in the same room. Time and time again, it's been proven - couples who stay in separate rooms don't only end up in infidelity, but ultimately end up divorcing.

So that's the fact you've got to offer? And what's so factual about that fact of yours?
