Great Nigerian Graduates !!! If you are unemployed or underemployed you need to take this thread seriously. I love GEJ very much O!!!, but the senate has to take us seriously. & please note that this is NOT a political movement at all. Do you know that hundreds of thousands of Unemployed/underemployed graduates are doomed for POVERTY in Nigeria if we don't speak. DO YOU KNOW THAT IF WE DEMONSTRATE PEACEFULLY BY STANDING OUTSIDE TOGETHER (IN OUR HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS) FOR JUST ONE WEEK THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY (LIKE EGYPT DID), WE WILL MAKE THE WORLD SEE US, AND THE SENATE WOULD GET SERIOUS ABOUT OUR STATUS ? Shall we continue to WAIT for the government to decide when to take the issue of unemployment seriously ? Shall we continue managing our small business enterprises under terrible working environments and expect to ever be sucessful. CAN'T WE FORM A STRONG ASSOCIATION LIKE ASUU WITH BRANCHES AND MEETING POINTS IN EVERY STATE OF THE COUNTRY ? LETS PLAN DATES TO MEET PHYSICALLY AND NOT JUST STOP AT INTERNET CHATTING. CAN INTERNET DISCUSSIONS SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS? LETS AGREE ON THE WEEK/S TO STAND OUTSIDE - DAY AND NIGHT UNTILL THE SENATE TAKES OUR ISSUE MORE SERIOUSLY. Or have we settled for Goverment determined destinies. Wont we at least say something loud, even once ? Please dont leave this thread without contributing something. This is a good time to let our numbers be seen by the world, so that the senate will sit up. |
it is INFACT a big SHAME that some graduates actually believe this statment at all. It means that the graduate is not even actually a graduate of any course at all. Left to me, I suggest that all unemployed/underemployed Nigerians should START UP THEIR OWN PEACEFUL BUT DISTURBING PROTEST IMMIDIATELY AFTER ASUU. BY MATCHING OUT IN NUMBERS AND STANDING OUTSIDE FOR DAYS.. Let the senate see us since they cant hear us. Lets give them a hot seat for one week. Lets copy from Egpty.. But Not to oust GEJ O!!! Lets match out in our hundreds of thousands any stand outside for days upon days to say ''provide us the industries we were trained to work in'', ''provide us with an environment where we can create our own jobs''. Or are we all actually dummies who cant fight for our lives even when our future are rotting ? . We can form an association in agreed centers in every state, to meet and plan (for peaceful public demonstrations) regularly. I shall edit a NL thread about this issue immidiately. ''Unemployed Graduates Plan Peaceful Demonstrations'' Please like this post, then visit the thread and contribute. Lets STOP SLEEPING. |
boay: Hello Nairalandersthis is a very selfish statement orginated by the so called human resource managers that proves that they do NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY ARE SAYING. And graduates are not even smart enough to figure out the emptiness. It is just like saying Nigerians dont learn anything in school. Its just as silly as saying a doctor does not have have the soft and technical skills of banking. In reality His own ''technical skills'' were actually meant for the hospitals not bank, not marketing. He will look ''unemployable'' if he starts seeking a bank job. He DOES NOT NEED ANY OTHER SPECIAL ''soft and technical skill'' period. Or a graduate that studies a course like Forestry and Wildlife Management... Is actually meant to work in either; the Forest researh and Conservation Industries, or wood proucts manufacturing industries... BASED ON THE KNOWLEDGE HE HAS LEARNT IN HIS CAREER.... He does not NEED any other skills.. - now the Qustion is where in Nigeria does NIGERIA HAVE A RESOUCE GENERATING FOREST (I mean a forest that is alive ) or A graduate that studies Zoology is TRAINED to work in the Zoo - How many of you have been to ANY ZOO in Nigeria ? After your visit didnt you feel like crying for Nigeria. There are a lot of courses that really require the ACTIVE FUNCTIONING OF THE CONCERNED INDUSTRIES in order to provide employment. The only industries that trive a little in Nigeria are the ''Basically-Needed'' Industries; Health, Banking, Engineering (to an extent), Law, Marketing.... |
lobell: Infrastructure is priority in development what do you plan to use to drive developmental progress if not infrastructure? Do you want to take lectures under a tree or enter the bush to relieve yourself? This strike has never been about salary increase. You guys should get it through your numbskulls. Lecturers are quite comfortable (A Graduate Assistant (entry level) earns 120k while a Prof earns half a millBros PLEASE Read beffore you comment. I used and emphasized the words ; "University education" "Priority" University education (basically thoritical) is different from polytechnic education (basically technical). Chinas development was triggered by technical and craft skills, not the university learnt skills. DONT PRETEND you didnt notice that I cleary talked about Univ education : which is different from polytechnic education, apprienticeship education, technical colleges education |
rezy15: Genius. And ur point is...?o! u too cant comprehend the point .... pheww!!! mvem says we are all brainless pple arguing over a false thread |
mvem: ..very brainless post with brainless people beileving every shit they see on net....some weeks ago a news came out and says "all FUTO lecturers have being sacked" and people that called themselves students beileved it....Wonder the kind of literates we have...To know book those not mean to read and write but to understand and comprehend......This why they want to change the educational system for we are rearing non-academic students or students wey they pass school roads they no dey go school.....bwaa....ha..haa..haa ... YOU PEOPLE PLEASE READ THE POST ABOVE BY mvem then read below as I quote him... Our new teacher said: arrow 1. '' a news'' arrow 2. ''to know book those not mean'' in place of- to have knowlegde does not mean arrow 3. ''we are rearing'' - in place of being graduated from the uni arrow 4. Students wey ''they'' pass - in place of students wey dey pass. Wooooww!! |
MrRogers: here is a link to the Reagan storywhen you finnally graduate them as ''fully baked professors'' in their numbers where would they work to improve the economy. Okay they'll just increase the number of unemployed graduates hopelessly roaming the streets. Our priority need in Nigeria now is NOT QUALITY UNIVERSITY EDUCATION at all !!! . Pls take note of the word ''priority'' .... The Associations that even need to strike are not even striking.... The Association of Small and Medium Scale Enterprise should strike- for poor electricity, bad roads and poor funding.. The Association of Unemployed/Underemployed gradutes of Nigeria (if it exists at all)....they should go on strike O! The Medical Society of Nigeria should go on strike for poor funding of hospitals (which save lives of even ASUU lecturers) The Association of Road Transport workers should go on strike for bad road to use in transporting you and ASUU to your various universities nationwide.. Which one is priority naaa ![]() |
WE ALL WANT CHANGE IN NIGERIA... But is infrastructure/ASUU's SALARY INCREASE the priority. Do you think that if Nigeria has so much money to transform everything that-requires-change; GEJ would'nt have done so ? Who told you that the most important is the education sector (which is at least standing with one leg) How about the health (hospitals) and food . How about the unemployed graduates population who have no where to work. Without work how can parents earn money to send their children to the very Universities we are talking about ? By the way this might sound like a shock... But its fact........ UNIVERSITY EDUCATION IS NOT THE BASIC REQUIREMENT FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH OF A COUNTRY. Case study: China- the fastest growing economy in the world. Its the textiles, hand skills and crafts that ignited the transformation. Rather than the FG's priority to be Universities,,, I rather they invest in polytecnics, small and medium scale industries like Aba industries. Mind you I'm a University graduate, but I know what Nigeria needs most |
yemmit90: Why are some un-civilised/uneducated Nigerians so quick in comparing Nigeria to Ghana? Is it the same lecturers hiring in the foreign and private universities you were referring to? How many universities in Ghana are among top 50 in Africa?when ignorance speaks it barks like a dog...well...emm in your case you are a puppy learning to bark. When next you want to talk try a little bit of facts rather than common sence and regular spoken english which makes you think you also belong to the enlightened class (I really pity your foolishness). Now get this point since you d'not understand when you read. 1. Nigerian Universities need Change. Yes, but change MUST start from within....what stops the non-corrupt lecturers from striking to get rid of the bad eggs Dont they know that amongst them are very many rotten eggs ? 2. If infrastructure is the basic thing...why did a place like Tinapa fail after all the money spent ? 3. Have you interracted with a graduate from a Ghanian University to hear and see THE PRODUCT for yourself or are you applying that your empty common sense here again? |
you ABSU students should encourage your neigbourhood primitive+local school (Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike) to *start using the internet, stop wearing slippers to lectures, stop speaking basically igbo language as lingua franca* if they do maybe then you can find their students social network create active chat rooms |
I want you guys to do a project on ''comparism between copied work and gennuine work- case studies of Nigerian students project''. How much should I pay for this? |
Yeah... Its just the beginning. They've not seen anything yet. The number of strikes done by ASUU in the past 15 years is unbelivable. And all of them boil down to one thing SALARY INCREASE. I actually do not blame students that support ASUU 's comouflage of ''improve the status of Nigerian Universities''. Did Nigerian Universities just start getting bad. And by the way which is more important '' infrastructure or the quality of education? - I mean quality education without sorting and fvcking to pass. Can 50% of our so called naija lecturers compete academically/ intellectually with Ghanian lecturers. Do our lecturers read before coming to class ? Do they update their handouts or pass the same expired information in old papers from generation to generation ? If ASUU is actually concerned about the state of Naija universities, they would have started cleaning the mess from within by removing the bad eggs amongst themselves first. Open ur eyes Great Nigerian students. |

Did you say Nigerian girls generally or wild Nigerian girls Well, I think that only WILD Nigerian girls get animalistic and destructive when you want to break up. And this kind of drama does not happen only during breakups.... A WILD GIRL IS A WILD GIRL anywhere- in your house or outside, even over a simple & resolvable argument... They even break beer bottles and dare to attack you. The best way I suggest is called gradual withdrawal. It should take some time but it will work and you will still be her friend anyway but not dating again. Start by giving the chic hints like; ask her gently if she's getting tired of the relationship... She'll say No,,, humbly (in a crying mood face) tell her you feel she should something/someone new. then change the topic.... Another day suggest to her a new kind of guy you think she should date... Reduce communication with her but dont stop completely&suddenly (this is what actually hurts them). If shes sticks to you because of gifts and money, then u've got to stop giving her cos she'll never stop loving your gifts/money even if she hates you. Just get dry and booring to her and see if she wont flee from you. |

Scientists say that the Clittoricum is a females own small P E N N I S. I want to check if its doing what my tulo-lun-tu-lum is doing right now'' ..and trust me she'll show you and even point at the rising spot. ![]() |
