berexio1:I did upfront medicals and they have just sent me another mail. saying your processed passport has been dispatched from the CIC to CVAC on 8/9/15. There is no attachment in this mail. I really hope this does not mean that I was delayed O. I thought that anyone who is approved will also have an approval mail sent via email. Please anyone with an advice should talk to me. I'm very anxious and a bit worried |
Hello my people. 1. Please can anyone tell me how long it takes to receive a notification letter or approval mail, after seeing "your passport has been processed on 2/9/15 and dispatched from Accra to vac". My vac account reads this 2. Do they usually send the approval mail to email addresses |
Two more questions: 1. Does CIC issue study permit TWO WEEKS beyond the start date 2. Please can anyone explain this POE thing to me. What stage of the application is that and what documents do they ask for BeulahHephziba: |
Bolaji how can I go about deferring? I already did upfront medical too. will I need to send a new study permit application when my new admission letter is out? (pls note that it will take 6 weeks to obtain a new letter of admission from the school) bolajibreeze: |
Please advice: I applied for study permit for fall start session somewhat late (I applied on July 24; the school resumes on September 8 ). I am scared it might be not be processed before the school resumption date. Therefore I am considering deferring my admission till winter (January 2016). If I defer my admission from fall to winter, will I still be required to do an entirely new study permit application for this purpose? or will they accept to withhold my application till If I obtain a new admission letter; it will take 6 weeks to obtain a new letter of admission for winter. |
Can anyone please advice me? I obtained a degree in English and literature studies in Nigeria but want to attend a community college for an associate degree in U.S what are my chances of obtaining a study permit |
Odinwa:Odinwa.. do a research on "applied degree" in biochemistry or any related field. An applied degree is a kind of practical degree which is offered in Canada. with your first degree and TOEFL score, you can get admission for an applied degree (2years) on completion, you can add a few courses to get a Canadian degree before doing Masters. that should take less time and will upgrade you to a more flexible / more opportunities carrier path |
Does anyone know if the public holiday of Friday and monday affect the Canada VAC. |
TheBae or anyone who can help please advice me. I have some documents that will expire by 30th of this month: that is why I want to risk applying for fall again tomorrow, but again it seems to be very dangerous due to the short time interval. the school starts by september 8th. I do not think I can obtain an admission letter for winter by that time if I shift the admission to winter, it might take up to 6 weeks before a new admission letter is sent. what do you suggest that I should do |
hayqinsbFX:why na. that is my only hope .pls tell me why |
House please advice me: I want to apply for fall start tomorrow I also wish to indicate that the program also has winter start. and that I am trying to shift the admission to winter. that when I get the admission letter, I will like to forward it by courier to their office in Ghana. does it make sense |
does anyone know the latest average processing time now? is it still 6 weeks or now 8 weeks. I want to take my chances by applying for fall tomorrow. the program has both fall and winter start sessions. |
can someone please tell exactly how trv is edited. does it have an expiry date if you don't travel within a specified deadline |
you guys are really grate O!..... Okay how is trv edited; does it state something like; valid only if traveler leaves before the date of resumption or something? TheBae: |
Crich:thank you |
Please someone advise me: I secured admission for a school in Calgary (Fall start 2015). I applied for visa but was denied because my documents were incomplete. Right now I am trying to apply again by 17th of this month. Knowing that it takes 6 weeks to process study permit; I will be expecting my application to be fully processed by 28 August (just 10 days from the program start date). If I do upfront medical and I am successful, will they issue me study permit that very day (August 28th) ? or is there another stage before issuance. If I am issued a study permit by 28, what are my chances of booking a flight ticket within 9 days? |
Please does anyone know if it it possible to send more support documents during the biometrics day (after applying online) |
Please can anyone direct me on hot to my first bank Mastercard to pay the application fee online. I am hooked at the sign in partner side. I tried to use the Choice Rewards Mastercard sign in partner, but my correct password isn't found. which sign in partner can i use to apply |

House please can anyone direct me on what to do. I want to do a second study visa application- The previous one I applied for didn't scale through because all my documents were not ready as at the time of application. Amongst these documents is my letter of employment and it was even stated as one of the reasons I was denied. I got a job December last year but I haven't been issued an employment letter because the first 6 months were probation period. The consortium I work for is an EU consortium, so our CEO who I guess should be the one to sign this letter is based in Europe. Our team leader is presently making moves to obtain the letter of employment from Greece for those of us that are up to 6 months old (that includes me). I do not know how to even put mouth to ask for an alternative letter. I do not want to risk being fired or put my Job on the line - as I do not think they will like to hear that . Now I am really bothered because if I do not do my application as soon as possible, time will not allow it be processed before Fall start session (Sept 8th ). Does anyone have a similar experience of not having a letter of employment to present? Please advice me. Time is not on my side at all. the admission also has a January start session, but my fees (refundable) have already been paid for fall. |
Please does anyone know if students are asked to pay tuition fees before being issued a visa |

eipreel:ladies wait O! is there any educated 100% yes Sir!! woman on the face of this earth |
eipreel:thanks dear. *little but good sign of humility. |
Guys I need Una support for here O!!! These days Nigerian men don't compete for wives at all. EVEN VERY GOOD LOOKING LADIES HAVE TO COMPETE AMONGST THEMSELVES FOR A HUSBAND and believe it or not; responsible (ideal husbands) are really-really scarce.... talk less about As soon as I got a good job (Lord I give you praise) I discovered a growing list of beautiful+well educated girls that if I dare ask "would you ...." before I finish speaking, they will say YESSSSSSSS!!! and start giggling with profound JOY. Somebody analyzed the reason to me like this: There are very few jobs in Nigeria. Naturally guys get more jobs than ladies. There are twice as much unemployed ladies than guys, so when a lady see's a guy that is comfortable, she see's him as capable of providing for her and being the man in her life (2 solutions in 1 shot). When a lady sees a responsible+comfortable man, she is both "applying for a job" and searching for a man, amongst many competitors of the same class she belongs. I want to give ladies a hint to what traits most responsible NIGERIAN guys want to see in you and how to boost you chances of surviving the competition. Because whether you accept it or not, these days it is survival of the fittest. 1. Stop being too conservative:. If you're an "indoor", "I'm the quiet type" girl, then any smart good looking girl will beat you to that in one trial. If you keep staying indoors WHO will see you? Come out of the shell (that is why you are educated). Let ''the product'' be seen and heard. 2. Your appearance matters a lot - you need to look good 24/7 but in a generally accepted way. (neither too holy looking nor too sinful looking) . If you are Fat - my dear kill yourself to loose that weight O. Most guys (like me) ABHOR FAT GIRLS as wife because they look lazy, dirty and very sexually unattractive. 3. Your character - carrying Bible and going to church everyday DOES NOT MEAN you have a good nature . Even satan goes to church these days and calls himself ''pastor''. ACQUIRE SINCERELY GOOD NATURE. BE OPEN MINDED. BE SIMPLE MINDED. 4. For very good looking girls: Throw away "secondary-school-hot-chick" pride. When a joke is funny, laugh - be yourself but in a cultured way. Let people see that you are humble by interacting with ALL classes of people. When you come across ''low class'' and poor/illiterate men, DON'T CARRY YOUR NOSE UP, their brother might just be Mr Perfect or Mr Perfect might just be watching you by the corner. 5. Be perfect in courtesy. Learn to greet anyone/everyone politely. Greeting alone has given thousands of girls husbands. 6. Be African minded if you want to marry an African man. Never engage in such discussions to show that you want to be ''equal'' to your man. (its only a silly man that will look down on a lady that exalts him). We Men expect that you RECOGNIZE us as the oga's. It makes us feel good and kills all our fears about you. 7. Be positive minded- imagine good things and smile and pray for them to come. Best of Luck Ladies !!! |
