Yea, he went there to build a Railway with a Loan that the FG is magnanimously GUARANTEEING, baa tongue?

http://www.channelstv.com/home/2013/12/04/senate-approves-lagos-200-million-loan/

Safe journey Oga Fash, sha...

It's a loan which the LASG will pay back

The FG initially refused to guarantee the loan which was a requirement of the WB (the guarantee) for whatever political reasons

The FG didn't initiate the project and won't be paying back a cent of the loan

So how is this guarantee an achievement which people are touting

Really beats me

These people never cease to amaze me

If you have evidence, present them to the EFCC and not Nairalanders

He's in the opposition and should be a big prey for the PDP ... If the predators have what it takes to nail him

Just like many ex-governors, he's been in court (and was discharged and acquitted unlike many others who still have pending cases)

If the authorities can't arrest him for being so 'corrupt' then they themselves should have a case to answer to Nigerians for being negligent

Politics / Re: Fashola Should Learn From Jonathan’s Good Governance – PDP by geeez: 8:05am On Dec 06, 2013
Billyonaire: Sometimes I wonder why some people who don't even have shelter of their own in Lagos are more Pro-Lagos, than us Land Lords in Lagos. What PDP, Lagos State Chapter is opining is fair play and equity to PDP Councilors (In Lagos State), to develop their constituency (In Lagos State), for the constituents (In Lagos State).

The Comparison is merely and fact fully necessary because (our) Lagos Governor, seems to play politics on Party and Tribal lines against the tenets of micro-democracy in the very Microcosmic Lagos.

Can you tribal Yorubas cease to be stupid 99% of the time?

So because you said you have a house in Lagos, we should believe you because your monicker is Billyonaire

And because we are pro-Lagos, means we don't own any building in Lagos?

I've noticed you as a loud, good-for-nothing, unintelligent poster who possibly lives in one cave in Umuahia and claims to be a landlord in Lagos

I'm sure you've not seen or owned a million before and you're claiming billionaire status

For every Yoruba who is passionate about Lagos, it is because Lagos is Yorubaland and you can't change that

If you truly own a property like you claim, look through your certificate of occupancy again but I doubt if you've ever seen one

IGBO-SON:

^^^And just to add:
*He approved the construction of a new airport terminal at MMIA.
*He approved Lagos as one of the four cities to host the planned aerotropolis hub.....others being Kano, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
*He approved the reconstruction of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway (something a shon of de shoil didn't get round to doing throughout his 8 years presidency).

And these are the reasons why Nissan is opening an assembly plant in Lagos and not Abuja?

And tell me which of these projects are complete or even started?

The only one that is complete was faulty even before commissioning

Lagos has done more for itself to ensure these investments keep coming in than the FG has

Every project listed do not in anyway critically impact investments

Lagos has rehabilitated several kilometers of federal roads and still counting

Lagos invests heavily in its security (on behalf of the FG)

These are the things that attract investment

*he added Lagos request for a $200m foreign loan proposal demand to the mtef for 2014 to facilitate the completion of Lagos light rail and some projects in Lagos.
*he approved the construction of a fast rail between Lagos and Ibadan
*he approved the construction of an additional port in Lagos to be located at lekki.
*has been involved on some federal roads in Lagos e.g third mainland bridge ,oshodi apapa expressway etc .
*has approved a construction of a greenfield refinery in lekki by a joint venture of NNPC and ccecc.
*have attracted several investors to Lagos just like the one were currently commenting on.
he did all this despite the bias and hate the APC and their apologists have shown him because he as a person has proven that he can rise above hate .
so can u now stop been bias and truthful to your conscience .
you asked for one but I just overfed you now can u please rise above hate?

You've splashed your low intelligence and knowledge over the www

To start with, I will say, is that all?

Next, the $200m is a loan, which will be paid back on a project that isn't the FG's idea

Next the Lekki Port is an idea conceived by Lagos and powered by Lagos.

Next, there's no fast rail between Lagos and Ibadan and no one uses those dead tracks to move goods. The last I heard was that it takes one week to move goods from Lagos to Ibadan. Which serious business person will consider that means of transportation

The 3MB is an existing bridge and I'm on the bridge now and the lights aren't working. Every streetlight that comes on at night in Lagos powered by the LASG. I have an office in Apapa and the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway is still as horrible as ever, even worse

The refinery, which has not even commenced, is not the FG's idea

Once again I ask, what has the FG done?

Mr man stop been a tribalist and admit that gej has been fair to Lagos.
is that so hard to admit if you're not bias

Fair in what sense?

Can you point to one thing he's done for Lagos since becoming president?

Just one thing

Despite Lagos being the most populous state

Lagos state invests substantially in the policing of the state, despite the police being under the FG which earns more in revenue than all the states put together

Lagosians generate their own electricity

Lagos has built and rehabilitated a lot of roads including Federal roads

Lagos has been solely responsible for providing water to residential, commercial and industrial areas

If the FG isn't doing anything to make Lagos an investment haven, then you have to give it to the LASG if investors keep trooping in

And what about Ogun which currently has more industries than Lagos? How has the FG been fair to them too?

remark D: Buddy, we know how much y'all love Lagos (as opposed to Oyo or Ibadan) ... but why not give credit to whom credit is due?

You know if the president was a northerner or some tribalistic goon that for whatever reason, as Obasanjo did, seek to marginalise Lagos... do you think this news will even be rumored, talkless of having a good prospect as it does now?

GEJ aint like that... whether it is an int'l airport in Enugu... or a manufacturing plant in Lagos... improved agricultural practises in the North or sea ports in the south... why not give this man credit as the most hardworking of all the past leaders Naija has ever had.... check all the past presidents, how many of them have done half of what GEJ has done so far....? the ball has been set rolling for constant power supply, and it had to take an Ijaw man to do it... grand strides, huge developments, changes on the face and landscape of Nigeria have been mostly from a section of this so-called 'One Nigeria... '

Again, bro... give credit to whom, when and as due... is that too much to ask for?

Now can I hear you say 'GEJ till 2019!'? or take it further if you've been loving the fresh air and go 'GEJ till 20XX! where X>19 lol..)

I've seen impressive and massive industrialization in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and Osun with new factories springing up

I know a lot has to do with what the states are doing to attract investments

Have you wondered why these things aren't happening in Borno or Ebonyi (two different challenges, same results)

These are pictures of same road. I personally prefer the one free from white and black with just markings on the neat road. [/pairinquote]

Personally I detest the black and white paintings on the roads which you'll rarely find on most roads in developed countries

Most of our roads are not lit at night and theory white paintings (though not luminous), will reflect light better than the original concrete colour

The roads without the markings and streetlights record more accidents than the roads with the markings and no streetlights

PhenomenonVFX: Come on geeez, now u are just being petty.
The the last sentence in the 2nd paragraph in that article clearly states it is the IGR for 2012. Come on dude. Are u still gonna deny the obvious to satisfy ur agenda? If so let me cease this discussion with u then. I was expecting some open-mindedness from u.
And the whole article was being critical of the Ebonyi administration's policies. If u took ur own advice and read it, u would have realised that. The article claims that Ebonyi has a lot of potential and investor are interested in it but the state government was frustrating their efforts. So the words you highlighted in red above goes to serve the same purpose.
No matter how u spin this, u know deep within u that Ebonyi is trying in d area of IGR especially compared with Anambra and Abia that can surely generate 10 times that.

Okay Ebonyi's IGR is N1.5bn monthly *In BRF's voice apologizing for being misunderstood*

Feel better now?

But seriously I have to be sorry for your inability to understand the article

PhenomenonVFX:

@geez check this article out.
http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/ebonyi-when-politics-spurns-development/144179/

Ebonyi's IGR for last year was put around 14 billion plus. That is well over 1 billion a month. I never said it is 1.6 billion. But u best believe it is one of the highest IGR in d SE. And we should give them kudos for that if Anambra and Abia are only doing around 500 million a month.
That said, an LG that produces 60k annually is actually not doing its job well or they are embezzling d money. Or it could be that the people, like most people in the SE, are tax averse. Same with Anambra and Abia. Something is just not right there. Those guys should be audited.

Read with understanding or read to the end before commenting

That's the total revenue accruing to the state

In the same article it goes to state that:

The Ebonyi State Government, every month, collects billions of naira from the Federation Account, which Account is supplied by incomes earned from crude oil (not yet produced in Ebonyi State), Value Added Tax (by consumption activities in all states of the Federation), corporate taxes (by companies operating in all states of the Federation), etc.

“Without these monthly receipts from the Federation Account, the Ebonyi State Government will definitely become insolvent. If other states were to erect obstacles to the lawful and orderly operation of industries in their states, the quantum of cash collection from the Federation Account by Ebonyi State Government will certainly reduce drastically.”

Dude u are d person who likes pulling out IGR factoids here. U shouldnt be asking for a credible source if u can look it up urself.
That said, Ebonyi has d highest IGR in d Southeast followed by Enugu with 1 bn naira monthly.
The funny things is that these are the two less vibrant economies in the Southeast.
That shows that the governors of Anambra and Abia are busy sleeping. Either they are under-quoting their IGR or they are not doing the needful in terms of taxation and all. Either way, something isnt right somewhere.
Anambra alone can generate an IGR 10 times that of Ebonyi. Even more so with Abia. Those governors should be investigated

I post my facts with credible sources

Digest this first

http://www.journalsbank.com/ejhss_21_1.pdf

Ebonyi's IGR isn't N1.6bn

There's an LGA in Ebonyi that generates 60k annually

Pukkah: Where was the government when the houses were being built? Who gave the approvals? Or who looked away from the buildings when they were being constructed?

How can the Commissioner now be planning to punish the house owners without including all the government officials and civil servants who either granted the approvals or looked away while the houses were being built?

I'm certain Lagos State under BRF will never approve building of houses under HTCs

I'm also sure those who have built under them knew the implications before digging a trench for their foundation
