It’s a simple logic bro Boss save your data and energy. It's a waste of time responding to them. You read, ignore and starve them of the attention they seek. |

obaxlove: Hello,
Please can I submit application on behalf of my wife and two children here in Nigeria embassy for SA relative dependant visa (Is it compulsory they are there). I already have my own study permit. I just want them to have the Visas in case they need to visit anytime. They will probably not be going with me for now.
Also please advise on documents I should submit and those that needs certifications. Refer to vfs Nigeria website for the document list and most importantly the financial requirementsHigh commission wouldn't understand that you want them to have the visa so they can visit. You have to demonstrate financial capability to support all of them. Shalom |

JaceBlaze: This post is a good enough reason why South Africa needs to tighten the borders and enact strict immigration laws. What they don't know is that SA officials are aware of all these methods just that some still slip through the cracks. |

@abeylevels
Applying for visa to SA now is a bit too late. Based on the average processing time (as reported here) there's a very good chance that the visa may not be ready in time for Christmas. If you are convinced, there's no harm in trying.
1. Include your bank statement and hers
2. Let's do a rough estimate, since you haven't booked flights now average ticket cost by December would be around 200k that's 400k for both of you, this may increase with the number of kids. Factor in accommodation which would be expensive and feeding. Let's say 1.5million. What the VO may think is after spending 1.5m on a trip, will 500k be enough to take care of your family? (logical thinking ) my opinion is that it may not be enough. ( I stand corrected sha)
3. Let her indicate she's self employed.
4. Yes let her add hers.
5. The fact you are married should be enough ties. (hopefully)
6. Yes should include it.
Bonus - You may need to certify your wedding certificate and the birth certificate of your kids at ministry of foreign affairs at Abuja. (confirm from the checklist)
Shalom. |

seunmsg: Twitter influencers with millions of followers would still be allowed to make political posts and promote candidates. That’s a loophole they should have blocked if they want this policy to be very successful. Politicians are smart and desperate to reach their targeted audience. If I want to pass a certain political message, I will simply pay a popular influencer to pass the message. Twitter will only end up losing revenue with this policy. They would suspend such accounts |

favouryemmy I just read an article about why ASUU is hesitant on the new payroll system. However, I they need to own the story and control the narrative about this thing because apparently the new system does not make provisions for certain situations that provision has been made for in act governing the universities. Any one interested can read it here https://twitter.com/UchePOkoye/status/1189062901207838720?s=19 |

favouryemmy: You Lecturer would most likely be doing adjunct lecturing or visiting lecturing there. It's not a full-time job and such part-time jobs are allowed in lecturing. That you're marking scripts for him doesn't make it a full time job Bros you stand by what you said, and I stand by what I said. This dude had two full time jobs as a lecturer . Shalom. |

favouryemmy: You don't have to agree but you should know the truth! My supervisor in university was a full time lecturer in another private university, I even helped him mark scripts and record scores. So it's very disingenuous of you to say that lecturers don't hold multiple jobs. It's definitely not all but quite a few do. |

elgorethi: Oga please don't give people wrong information. Maybe you should properly read what he wrote again. Because he is legally married in Nigeria to a SA citizen does not even have any effect in SA since he has not paid a Lobola and has not been in any long relationship with the woman for a minimum of 2years within SA. As such any application for any type of permit may/will be refused.
For the record if you don't know....VISITORS VISA CAN BE CONVERTED to some types of permit. Make you findings right before advising people.
Cheers Yea this was a recent development I'm now aware of. Thanks |

My last take on this, if your brother is legally married, let him apply for a spousal visa. If there's any issue, she can easily petition home affairs and everything would be easily sorted.
Home affairs would accept any valid marriage certificate that's authenticated by the ministry of foreign affairs
Apply for a Visitors visa and it goes side ways, he's on his own.
For the records, you can't change status from visitors to relative permit.
In fact, you can't convert from visitors visa to anything in South Africa.
Be guided
Shalom |

IMUSTgoToUSthis: Dear Family, please advice; my brother is about to get married to his SA wife, they met about 3years ago, she was here in Nigeria, done family intros and court and now gone back to prepare for him coming over for the Lobola. He only got passport yet, please, where do we begin in getting a SA Visa? Will he be needing any form of documents from her? Kindly assist. Thanks. If they have done court wedding, let him apply for spousal visa. The requirements for spousal visa are on the home affairs website. Note spousal visa is different from relative visa. |
