GOATandYAMtheory: Sure, passingshot. To the best of my knowledge, the refineries could have been fixed during GEJ's regime but they chose to tell Nigerians a story that will give them enough opportunity to scam us till the end of their tenure.
I could remember vividly when the NNPC gave estimate of how much it will cost them to fix our refineries in May 2015(b4 handing over), also giving a duration of a year b4 it can be operational.
I wonder what happened overnight that they are now saying it will begin to funtion by next month. Exactly. All of a sudden it was possible to repair the refineries with JUST 99billion naira while we spent over 4trillion naira subsidizing on imported petroleum products the same refineries cld be producing. Op, I must admit. Your argument makes a lot of sense. IF it was a function of the last administration (GEJ) I don't think they would have been telling us in March (gej as president) that we would be having functional refineries by 2016, then all of a sudden back-track and say refineries will be functional in a months time. I believe there is more to this than we are being told and we can't exclude the fact that it has to do with buhari. This is not about taking sides but examining the facts Affordable Solar Power Here |

multikolour: the governor of Kaduna mallam nasir el-rufai says his government can not keep sharing food to Muslims cos government is not supposed to be involved in religion Governor El-rufai however cancelled the annual Ramadan “welfare” package distributed to Muslims in the state. According to him, if his government continues in that direction, it will not be able to pay salaries, hence, he will not continue sharing state resources. Past administrations distributed rice, millet, vegetable oil, milk, sugar and other commodities to Muslims; and also hosted religious groups to Ramadan breakfast. “This beautiful office complex we are cost the government about N10billion. Me and my partner, the Deputy Governor would not have built this when there are many masses oriented projects yet to be executed, but it has been built, we have to use. “I have also been made to understand that, this Ramadan period, we are supposed to have started sharing rice, milk and sugar, but we will not do that. One, the government is not supposed to be involved in religious activities. Two, the government is broke.

Nigeria and religion. That is how we spend billions daily on pilgrimage to Jerusalem and Mecca. After the fasting hope there will be concrete projects that will alleviate poverty. I don't support all this spending on religion that is unsustainable. It is best the politicians invite the poor and fellow muslims into their individual homes and feed them than using public funds. |

Military might is very critical to human freedom. Imagine if our fore-fathers had a superior military might, would able bodied black men's dignity be this trampled? Hope we don't pay dearly for our technological backwardness in future again. If we must get it right we most first get leadership with vision. China Used to be threatened by the Mongolians, but today mongolia is one of the most underdeveloped countries while China is one of the most Advanced in the world. Why? Leadership. Until we get leaders who have sense of pride for their people and not crawl to other countries with cap in hands for everything we are going no where. China's revolution started with Mou restoring the pride of his people and true industrial independence. People say to solve corruption it must start with everybody. This is a lie our leadership sold to us in diverting responsibility from themselves and we bought it. Leadership sets the direction for the people. Affordable Solar Power Here |
