Fresh facts emerged on Sunday over the death of popular gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, who allegedly died of cancer of the throat. According to the elder sister of the late gospel music artiste who died last week, “Osinachi died as a result of a cluster of blood in the chest from the kicking she allegedly got from her husband, Mr Peter Nwachukwu”. Ms. Favour Made, who is the elder sister to the late Osinachi, also alleged that her sister was treated badly by her husband before her untimely death. She disclosed this during an interview with Vanguard on Sunday. “She did not die of cancer. The husband, Mr Peter Nwachukwu hit her with his leg on the chest. All this while, he had been beating her but my sister hid all that she was passing through from us. “Before now, we told her to come out of the marriage, we told her that they are not divorcing, that it’s just separation. But she felt that God is against divorce. “We told her that separation is not a sin but just for her to stay alive and take care of her children. “She will always tell us to relax and that the man will change. “So, when the man kicked her in the chest, she fell down and he took her to the hospital but he did not even tell us. “It was her friend who lives in Ebonyi state that called her twin sister, because Osinachi has a twin sister, to ask, ‘did your sister tell you that Peter hit her on the chest? the sister then told her no. It was the hitting on the chest that killed her. “My brother had to ask a doctor what killed her and the doctor said that there were clusters of blood on her chest. Unfortunately, they did not tell the doctor that she was kicked in the chest because; the doctor could have known what to do if he had an idea of what happened. “Each time we talked to her, she will be pleading for peace and if we move to act, she will tell us no, that we should calm down,” she alleged. https://www.thequesttimes.com/she-did-not-die-of-cancer-osinachis-sister-breaks-silence-on-demise-of-popular-gospel-singer/

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, had predicted that the Super Eagles would qualify for Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. In a video clip obtained by Quest Times, the cleric was quoted saying that the three-time African champions will be at the 22nd edition of the international soccer tournament, scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, 2022. “Nigeria will go to World Cup if only they follow instructions. It’s not an issue but if they don’t put it in proper shape, it might not come to reality. We must go to World Cup, it is under MUST,” he said. However, Nigeria failed to qualify for the World Cup after losing out to the Black Stars of Ghana by an away goal, a development that put Primate Ayodele’s prediction to question. https://www.thequesttimes.com/throwback-super-eagles-must-qualify-for-qatar-2022-primate/

Former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has mocked President Muhammadu Buhari over his leadership ability. The Human Rights Activist on Friday night, April 1, took to Buhari’s verified Facebook account while reacting to the latter’s post on the state of the nation. Buhari had earlier posted that he had a meeting with Security Chiefs at the State House Wednesday afternoon, following the dastardly terrorist attack on the Abuja-Kaduna rail line. Reacting to the post, Sowore commented; “Stop lying to yourself and the Nigerian people, learn from the recent Super Eagles experience. “Muhammadu Buhari, you have failed as the Captain of the security agencies (Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces) just like the technical crew of the Super Eagles was fired for not qualifying for the #WorldCup. “The Nigerian people must fire you as their leader. you’re a waste of space. The worst leader Nigeria ever had! #BuhariMustGo” Quest Times understands Nigeria has been going through a lot of shaking in recent times ranging from the terrorist attack in the North; separatist agitations in the East and cultism/ritualist killing in the West. https://www.thequesttimes.com/state-of-the-nation-worst-leader-nigeria-ever-had-sowore-bombs-buhari/

Against the viral report that President and Founder of Enemona Josh Humanitarian Foundation, Ambassador David Onoja was abducted by gunmen in police uniform, it has now been confirmed that the self-styled philanthropist was arrested over alleged fraud as supposed being kidnapped, Quest Times can authoritatively report. David Onoja made headlines after he was purportedly kidnapped in the wee hours of Thursday in his house at Wada road Lokoja. Onoja was picked from his house by six gunmen who were dressed in police uniforms with bulletproof vests and armed with AK-47s, a family source disclosed. The source added that the gunmen came to the resident of the philanthropist in a sienna bus panted in maroon colour and manhandled him before they whisk him away to an unknown destination. Speaking to Quest Times on Thursday, a business associate of the self-styled philanthropist who spoke based on anonymity, however, debunked the news saying “he (David Onoja) was never kidnapped but arrested”. According to the source, he has been the one funding David Onoja’s foundation and they both had an agreement before striking the deal. “He (David Onoja) introduced his business to me and I welcomed the idea. I was in Lokoja in 2020 to see what the business looks like, and I saw it’s a genuine business. “It was a coal business. He supplies consumers in Ogun and some parts of Abuja. The more we fund the business, the more money we make. He comes with the proposal and we discuss and agree on my Return of Investment (ROI),” the source said. https://www.thequesttimes.com/kogi-philanthropist-arrested-for-alleged-fraud-not-kidnapped/

President Muhammadu Buhari despite being warned by the State Security Service (SSS) of an imminent attack still watched the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their second leg tie against the Black Stars of Ghana at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium on Tuesday, Quest Times can authoritatively report. Shortly after the match which ended 1-1, a memo dated March 28 was shared on Twitter by David Hundeyin, a seasoned Nigerian journalist. The memo warned of an imminent threat blamed on suspected elements of separatist IPOB, a group the Buhari-led government has blamed for all degrees of the security crisis in recent months. “Intelligence available to the Service indicate [sic] imminent attack on MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja allegedly by members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) using prime improvised explosive devices on 29th March 2022. “The attack was hatched to target the return world cup qualifiers match between Nigeria and Ghana, aimed at causing maximum casualty and embarrassment to the Government, thereby drawing local and international attention to the secessionist agenda of the dissident group. “In view of the foregoing coupled with the planned attendance of President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) and other important dignitaries to honour the national team, there is the need for adequate deployment of counter security measures before and during the slated match with a view to preventing, detecting and neutralising the threats,” the memo said. A reliable source who exclusively spoke to Quest Times shortly after the match that sealed the Black Stars of Ghana Qatar 2022 dream, confirmed Mr President was in attendance despite the warning by the SSS. Lekki is one of the suburbs of Lagos, located to the South-East of Lagos city. Lekki is a naturally formed peninsula, adjoined to its west by Victoria Island and Ikoyi districts of Lagos, with the Atlantic Ocean to its South, Lagos Lagoon to the North, and Lekki Lagoon to its East. Part of the Lekki peninsula was formerly known as Maroko, a slum before it was destroyed by the Raji Rasaki-led Lagos State military government. One of its neighbourhoods, Lekki phase 1, has a reputation for having some of the most expensive real estate in Lagos. In this richest Lagos community is a growing number of out-of-school children who on several occasions have been arrested by a Special Taskforce set up by the Lagos State Government to keep out-of-school children, especially those hawking in traffic, out of the streets. It is sad to note that one in every five of the world’s out-of-school children is in Nigeria. Even though primary education is officially free and compulsory, about 10.5 million of the country’s children aged 5-14 years are not in school. The pandemic has even exacerbated the already dire situation, leaving us with the big question: Why? To find out the reason these children still prefer hustling on the streets while their peers are in school learning for a better future, Quest Times did a spotlight on out-of-school children in Lekki and its environs. In this special report, Quest Times’ Arogbonlo Israel spoke to a select group of children seen hawking on the streets during school hours. One of the children who spoke to our reporter, Salisu Idris, said he makes N5,000 daily from hawking on the street. The 10-year-old car washer cum primary school dropout narrated his ordeal while calling on well-meaning Nigerians to help him get back to school. “I’m doing this work (car washing) because my parents could not afford to continue paying my school fees. I dropped out of school in primary 6 and since that time, I have been on the streets struggling to make ends meet. “I plan on furthering my education with the little money I raise from this work,” he said. “The work is not easy, as most times people (drivers) scold us while trying to do our work. At times, I make N5,000, N2,000, or N500 depending on how customers patronise me. I have not made any money today,” he added. Meet 11-year-old Aisha who plaits hair under Ikate bridge Another respondent, who was seen plaiting hair under the Ikate pedestrian bridge, also shared her story with Quest Times. “My name is Aisha. I’m 11 years old. I’m from Jigawa. I came to Lagos last year. It was my mum that brought me to Lagos. She is under Ijora bridge where she is hustling. “Aside from plaiting hair, I also wash cars to make money for my upkeep. I’m not in school because of lack of funds. I would love to go to school if I have someone to sponsor me,” she said. ‘I make N2,000 daily from selling nose-mask’ A child hawker who spoke to us in print said he makes N2,000 daily from the nose-mask business. “I have been selling face-masks since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 and it has been a good fortune for me. “I have made N1,000 today, while some other days I make N2,000. I stopped going to school after my parents died two years ago,” he said. https://www.thequesttimes.com/lekki-home-of-out-of-school-children-turned-street-hustlers/

Do you find it difficult to stop masturbation or are you probably thinking of relenting your effort of finding a lasting solution to masturbating? Then you need to read this article to the end. Quest Times in an exclusive interview with Dr Zainab Sulaiman, an expert in sexology, gave some practical steps to follow to stop masturbation. According to Dr Sulaiman, “Both men and women masturbate and there isn’t much difference between masturbation addiction in men and women including virgins“. On why masturbation is so addictive, the award-winning doctor said; “In masturbation addiction, two key substances play a role, dopamine, and endorphins. “Dopamine is a reward neurotransmitter that allows a person to feel pleasure. Endorphins are chemicals, which the body uses to counteract stress and physical exertion, making one able to relax and recover. “While a person is masturbating, dopamine is released, and the person experiences a pleasurable high that peaks off during a climax. “After the climax, endorphins are released, making the person feel sated and sometimes fall asleep.” She however gave some tips on how to stop masturbation without stress. They are as follows; “Depaxil cr 25 is a medicine generally used to treat stress but it also helps to control strong s3xual desires, urges to masturbate, and urges to see porn. One tablet after dinner daily for 21 days. “In some traditions in Africa, get a bitter lemon leave; 3 days ashes (like ashes that stayed for 3 days). Put the leave in a bucket of water, make sure it’s smashed, add the ashes, sieve it, and bathe with it for 21 days. “Avoid all dirty pictures, dirty talks, pornography videos, pictures, and romantic movies most especially if you are easily aroused! “Get busy with your life, education, and career. “Get involved in social activities like sports instead of spending time alone “Avoid staying in isolated places. “You can practice spiritual acts like fasting and also know more about the implications of such acts in your religion. “Educate yourself on masturbation. “Go for counselling if need be and turn a new life. “The best war to end masturbation is your mind! It was a tightly contested first leg tie as Nigeria had to settle for a 0-0 draw in Ghana on Friday. It was indeed a frustrating night for the visitors as VAR overruled a decision to award them a penalty in the first leg of a World Cup play-off between the continental giants. A review of the decision in the closing stages of the West African showdown in Kumasi found that Ghana midfielder Iddrisu Baba was fouled before he handled it. *Traders beg FG to rescind its 7-day eviction notice Traders at the makeshift market, under Apongbon Bridge, extending to Eko Bridge, are lamenting their grief after losing goods worth millions of Naira in Wednesday’s fire disaster. The inferno which lasted for about 45 minutes before the intervention of the Lagos Fire Service, left makeshift structures destroyed and goods worth millions of Naira damaged. In a bid to unravel the mysteries behind the mayhem, Quest Times reporter spoke to the Iyaloja (Ebute Ero market leader) identified simply as Chief (Mrs) Rukayat Balogun. “The mayhem was caused by high voltage. There hasn’t been NEPA light (electricity) for 6 days, so they just brought it maybe around midnight (Wednesday), they just flashed it. “As you can see (pointing to the debris left by the fire disaster), we sell highly inflammable items here such as groundnut oil, semo, butter, baking ingredients, takeaway packs, etc. So, that was what escalated the fire. “We couldn’t get the response of the men of Lagos Fire and Rescue Team quickly. They came around 2:45am and the fire started around 2am, by then, the fire had already escalated to the other parts of the bridge where goods are kept.” Mrs Balogun who claimed to have been trading in the market for over 35 years, also cleared the air on rumours making the rounds on social media that the fire was caused by fuel. “Nobody uses generator under the bridge, it is not allowed. This is part of our rules and regulations. So, those saying the mayhem was caused by petrol are only peddling rumours,” she said. Barcelona proved they are well on their way back after embarrassing La Liga leaders Real Madrid with a 4-0 victory on their own pitch at the Bernabeu in El Clasico. This was very much a statement performance from Xavi’s men, who are now daring to dream again as they look to re-establish their place at Spain’s top table after a dismal start to the post-Lionel Messi era under Ronald Koeman. Somewhat incredibly given the contrast in seasons, the victory puts Barca 12 points behind Real Madrid but with a game in hand on their rivals, and with 10 games left to play, the Catalan giants are determined to make something of their campaign. Goals from Ronald Araujo, Ferran Torres, and a brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang did the damage as Barca handed out a lesson in the Spanish capital to continue their rich vein of form. https://www.thequesttimes.com/stop-invasion-xavis-barcelona-humiliate-real-madrid-to-continue-unbeaten-run/

Prof Pat Utomi, the convener of the Big Tent Coalition of Political Parties, Civil Society Organisations, and Social Movements says Nigeria must move from politics of ‘big men’ to politics of big ideas and issues for greatness. Utomi made this known at the Big Town Hall Meeting held physically and virtually on Saturday in Lagos. The former presidential candidate and political economist, said the existential challenges facing the country spurred some idea-driven leaders to begin to have meetings to restore the nation to its pride of place among comity of nations. Utomi, founder of Centre for Values in Leadership (CVL) said: “We need a political class that adopts the simply life. Our country must be ready for this change.“It must be a time of healing and building. Our country must be healed from the damage of our recent history. We must build afresh. “It is a time we look through the windshield and not looking at the rear blue mirror most of the time, because in focusing on yesterday, we are getting away from tomorrow. “What matters is that this country still has the potential for greatness. Nigeria is a country of enormous potential, yet it is being crippled by the kind of politics that we have.” https://www.thequesttimes.com/what-nigeria-must-do-to-be-great-again-utomi/
