By Arogbonlo Israel As the world welcomes 2022, the founder and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM, Daniel Olukoya has released his prophecies for the year. Olukoya released 37 prophecies themed Year 2022, ‘My year of becoming divine spectacle’, during the crossover service of the church. According to him, “This year is a subtle year, a year of dribbling and a two-phased year.” He however, recommends 10 kinds of prayers for 2022. They include: violent prayers, crude prayers, unsanitised prayers, uncivilised prayers, wicked prayers, forensic prayers, strategic prayers, travailing prayers, back to the sender prayers, and confrontational prayers. Full text of the prophecies read below; It is a year for true sons of God to have a voice It is a year of new and better things for the children of God. So, make sure you serve God wholeheartedly in the year 2022. It is a year of falling away from the old and the emergence of the new. The Lord said new, accurate, prophetic voices will emerge, not like what we have now. The Lord says that for many, all the doors that were shut against them shall be forced opened. The year shall be a year of new beginning for many. We need to pray really seriously on strange and great movements in the waters, in the rain, in the river and in the sea. It is a year of positive dislocation; some will dislocate, they will think it is for evil but it shall be for good. It is a year that you have to be serious with God: sort yourself out and put your life right. Don’t play games with God in the year 2022. We need to pray really hard to prevent another COVID-like situation or anything that is similar to it. https://thequesttimes.com/see-mfm-olukoyas-37-prophetic-picture-for-2022/

Ex-wife of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Precious Chikwendu has been dragged on social media by Nigerians who reportedly felt disrespected by her recent comments while inside a swimming pool with a suspected new lover. Recall the media space was recently agog over comments by Precious, when she said “I am actually a Mami water but Africans take mami water too seriously but it is not”. Precious in the same video was heard saying “awww water got into my Chocha, my Chocha is wet”. This comment hasn’t gone unnoticed by Nigerians who have expressed their sadness, disgust over the comments with many saying it is an insult to women and motherhood. Chocha is a street slang to mean female genital. Leonard Ibekwe @Leoibekwe “ how can she you say such in video u posted to Public? A mother of four? No respect for womanhood and motherhood? Abeg this is disgusting to say the least”. Linda @LindaOghogho “ I am already ashamed as a woman hearing such thing. Aswear.” She also said "I am a good mami but most men don't care if the mami is good or bad. They just see them all as fish and they want to fry them and EAT THEM UP". Christmas is celebrated on December 25 and is both a sacred religious holiday and a worldwide cultural and commercial phenomenon. However, some countries do not celebrate Christmas for reasons best known to them. Below are some of these countries as compiled by Quest Times below: Morocco Travelers head to Morocco for many things – hiking North Africa’s Atlas Mountains, camel treks, shopping, sleeping in a famous riad– but celebrating Christmas isn’t one of them. You know why? The Moroccan people are primarily Muslim, so it’s no surprise that Christmas in Morocco is not a big deal. As Christians mark the birth of Christ today being the 25th of December, Quest Times take a look at some churches in Nigeria that opposed Christmas. For them, the celebration of Chrismas on December 25 is “unscriptural and unchristian”. Jehovah’s Witness This religious organisation is one of the biggest group of Christmas-shunners. The interesting thing is that they were not always this way. Once upon a time, Jehovah’s Witnesses used to observe Christmas. This was until 1928, after further study by one official. Seventh Day Adventist Church Like Jehovah’s Witnesses, this church is also against the celebration of Christmas. A publication from the group that goes to church on Saturdays, the Jewish Sabbath day, not Sunday reads: “We do not celebrate Christmas as the Birth of Christ per say since Christ was not born in Dec. https://thequesttimes.com/why-these-nigerian-churches-dont-celebrate-christmas/

Nigerians got a shocker on Thursday, 23 December, with reports of the official take over of Union Bank by Titan Trust Bank. The Board of Union Bank of Nigeria Plc (Union Bank) had notified the NGX and Securities Exchange Commission of the take over. According to Union Bank board, its investors Union Global Partners Limited, Atlas Mara Limited and other shareholders reached an agreement with Titan Trust Bank Limited (TTB) to divest their shareholding in Union Bank to TTB. It was gathered that the agreement, which is subject to regulatory approvals and other financial conditions, will upon completion transfer 89.39% of Union Bank’s issued share capital to TTB. Aside the fact that Titan Trust Bank is reportedly owned by Tunde Lemo, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), there seems to be little or no information about the management staff of the bank. Quest Times takes a look at the management staff as seen below: https://thequesttimes.com/titan-trust-bank-meet-the-new-owners-of-union/

Does age really affect performance in bed? This is an age question that many still find difficult to unravel. Some are of the opinion age should or rather not a key factor to determine sexual prowess while others are of contrary views. Below, we’ve looked at the science behind aging and sexual health to explain when most men start to experience a decline in their sexual performance and incline in instances of sexual dysfunction. We’ve also shared a few actionable tips that you can use to maintain a healthy, enjoyable sex life in your 60s, 70s and beyond. What age do men stop having s3x? Since s3x drive and physical health can vary hugely from person to person, there’s no specific age at which most men give up on s3x. However, research suggests that most men have a “sexual life expectancy” (the estimated age at which they’ll stop engaging in sexual activity on a regular basis) of around 75 to 85 years. In a 2010 study conducted by the University of Chicago, researchers looked at the link between age and sexual activity in men and women throughout the United States. https://thequesttimes.com/18-does-age-affect-performance-in-the-inner-chamber/

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association, FIFA on Thursday, has released its final ranking for 2021 with Nigeria’s Super Eagles retaining its 36th place, the position it started with since the beginning of the year. A largely home-based team also lost 4-0 to Mexico in July, Quest Times gathered. According to FIFA, the Covid-19 pandemic reduced the number of international matches to a record low, falling only behind the number for 1987. https://thequesttimes.com/fifa-ranking-belgium-retains-1st-position-nigeria-ends-2021-in-36th-place-latest/

There was mild drama on Thursday when a Nigerian activist popularly known as Rinu Oduala and the Coordinator of #DefendLagos, Alabi Oladimeji debated on the White Paper report released by the Lagos State Government following the report of the judicial panel set up to probe cases of police brutality and shooting at the Lekki tollgate. The duo traded words during a live TV interview on Arise Tv where they were invited to speak on the recent development. In her words, Rinu faulted the Lagos State Government’s response on the recommendations made by the Judiciary Panel describing it as “White Paper with black contents” while supporting her claim with Fela Kuti’s mantra “government magic”. She claimed the submissions made by the government “contradict the realities on ground”, saying she “would rather prefer justice to a peace walk that is politically motivated”. Reacting, Alabi claimed the White Paper released by the Lagos State Government was based on “facts and figures”. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/12/endsars-white-paper-its-govt-magic-rinu-there-was-no-massacre-alabi-slams-her/

A Nigerian cleric cum convener of the Apostolic Christianity Network, Moses Idowu has faulted the plan of the Federal Government to impose sanctions on those who refuse the Covid-19 vaccine when it is made available to all. The cleric, at a recent press conference, in Lagos, said the government has no moral and legal rights to force citizens to get the vaccine. Recall the Secretary to the Federal Government, Boss Mustapha in a media report that went viral on October 14, said “there will be compulsory Covid-19 vaccination for civil servants with effect from December 1, 2021”. Reacting, Idowu said the government’s decision to make the vaccine compulsory for civil servants is, “wrong-headed, lawless and atrocious. It is a policy that is morally flawed, scientifically baseless, ethically unsound, and logically absurd”. According to him, the damages and deaths caused by the virus as well as the collateral damages as a result of side effects owing to vaccination and medical practices are enough for the government to think through its policy. “Austria is on lockdown presently to force the unvaccinated to get the jab. If the vaccine is a protection against the virus why do people who already got the vaccine be protected from the unvaccinated? “The State of Israel is fast closing in on a 100% vaccination rate yet it also has some of the highest rate of new infections. India, South Africa, Brazil, and the United Kingdom participated actively in the clinical trials toward the development of vaccines in 2019. Alas, it is in those countries that new and more virulent variants of the virus are now emerging. “Germany is in the midst of the highest spread of covid-19 since December of last year. Yet Germany is the most challenging country in Europe for mitigation and mandates – the only country that has launched an offensive against those who are not vaccinated.” https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/11/why-fg-should-revoke-its-compulsory-covid-19-vaccination-plan-cleric/

The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity has said “the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) poses a significant threat to the safety and security of Nigerian citizens”. Garba, who spoke on Friday while presenting a paper at the 10th anniversary of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), Katsina, also said the president deserves credit over his efforts in tackling the farmers/herders crisis in the country in recent time. “It is a fact that the Buhari administration is the only government of Nigeria that has put forward a workable solution to the herder-farmer challenge in all the years since independence. “The threat to civilians and peaceful co-existence between different ethnic and religious groups from farmer-herders clashes, banditry and land disputes are of serious concern to the Buhari government. “It is incorrect, however, to assert that the government has or is doing nothing to address the threats... https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/11/ipob-poses-significant-threat-to-nigerians-security-says-garba-shehu/

The Independent National Electoral Commission Supervising Residence Electoral Commissioner in Anambra, Sam Egwu, says “the fear of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)” has become “the beginning of wisdom” in South-East. He also decried poor turnout of voters during the Anambra gubernatorial election on Saturday. Speaking with Channels TV, Sunday, Egwu, lamented over the low voter turnout in the state, claiming this is not really good for Nigeria’s democracy. “There is a whole state of fear that has been created by the politics of agitation for a separate state in this part of the country. “IPOB has been able to enforce the sit-at-home order over time. So, the fear of the repercussion of what IPOB could do to people has become the beginning of wisdom." https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/11/anambra-election-fear-of-ipob-beginning-of-wisdom-inec-commissioner/
