What you are saying is that if the thief switches of the device, removes the Sim and performs hard reset, that you can still lock it? How?

If you signed into your Xiaomi account b4 the phone was stolen, you can remotely lock and erase the phone anywhere as long as there's internet connection even if a hard reset was done

Omo this is good new sha. Don't know what these lots were thinking placing that ban during a period were phones are prone to theft. one window thief just move my phone laidis and the past 2 weeks were not funny. No contact, no social media, No emails, business was just dormant.

I lost my phone (redmi 7a) yesterday. My Mi acct was logged in and phone was passworded, so that means they can't use it, even if they wiped it, right?

Also pls, have networks commenced sim swap/retrieval? Because of those lost sims, I can't access email, online/ussd banking, calls etc.

I didn't realise how locked in we are to mobile networks.

I got to know all SIM Cards related activities have been suspended, including Lines retrieving, this is my business line for crying out loud!
My business has been on hold for over a week now!
