1) You have an iphone and you did not put a passcode or facelock or both. There is no way in this lifetime that your iphone, with all these set up, will get hacked or opened by anyone.

2) You did not set a pincode on your sim card. Even if you had secured your phone, putting your sim card in another phone would have rendered it useless.

3) What sort of tech department does UBA have that someone, a random person can just open their bank app and transfer money?

It's true to some extent. The place I currently live, the landlord said he doesn't want an Igbo tenant. They only accepted me because I was a Corp member then. From the year 2017 that I rented here till now, I am the only Igbo tenant here.

Now, do I owe rent, utility bills or cause trouble to anyone? The answer is NO.

But then, asking a simple question to clarify issues bothering on utility payment will get my landlord unnecessary upset. Other tenants can owe utility bills for months without issues but mine shouldn't even pass one day or else he will start disturbing me whenever we cross path or come to my apartment.

Why is it so? Tribalism. I think this is the only place Nigerians feel they can exhibit tribalism for you to feel it at the micro level.

The same thing Igbo tenants do, Yoruba tenants will do it and you will not hear the landlord shout. If a Yoruba man does something, the landlord will attack him personally, but when an Igbo man does the same thing, the landlord will attack the entire tribe. You will see them making comments like "That Igbo man" instead of addressing him in person.

One of our co-tenants got my landlord arrested with police before he packed out. The issue wasn't loud because he isn't Igbo. I am sure if I'd done that, he will assume to have confirmed his fear of not wanting Igbo tenant.

As for Igbo landlord not wanting Igbo tenants, you don't need to be told that Igbo people don't love themselves. That's why they would rather speak English to themselves even when they are all Igbos. So, everyman to himself.

But in reality, Igbos occupy high rent paying houses in Lagos. How many Yorubas have 900k to pay for a 3 bedroom apartment? So, any landlord insisting on not taking Igbos will lose out.

They (landlords) make it seem like it’s only igbos that don’t pay rent.

There are people that will fall in hard times and nowhere is it decreed that it only happens to igbos.

I am igbo and growing up, there were many times when yoruba tenants couldn’t pay their rent in my father’s houses. And I never heard my father tell agents/potential renters that he doesn’t rent to yoruba because they don’t pay.

For some landlords, it’s Edo tenants and for some it’s hausa tenants.

The truth is these landlords just use their requirements as an avenue to hate igbos. It’s only pure hate.

You know why? You hear this from poor landlords, landlords who have low self esteem, landlords who are naturally intimidated by the igbo man’s tendency to resist rubbish and extortion. That’s it.

Weak naira has killed purchasing power.
The agents shop in the same market. Send kids to schools in the same society. Access the same healthcare in the area. All of which have hiked cost of doing business also.

If an agent closes 2 deals a month, that's 140k a month using your 10% logic, and he may close 0 deal next 2 months

What you should have done before starting any conversation is to ask what the rates are, if he had mentioned 20%, you have the option of walking away before any waka about.

Most people condemning the company only have minutest details of what actually transpired before the job applicant was requested to come to the Lagos office for formal training after the initial interview in Warri and the Op acted on the limited information availed to him by the applicant, which excludes crucial information's that could have added integrity to the whole recruitment process.

- The real applicant contacts him to report to the police station.
- As the accuser (Nairaland OP) has no CONCRETE EVIDENCE has no choice but to plead so as not to keep the girl there any longer. It is very likely the girl is held in a stinking police jail in terrible conditions. Even the most hardened criminals repent in those places.
- As the Zidora group has the upper hand, they ask that he retracts all the statements and gives a public apology which he has done.
