I did watch the SuperFalcons World Cup game against Australia🇦🇺 this afternoon, I won’t lie Rash is quality.. Randy almost got his Substitution wrong in that game especially when he brought in Glory Ogbonna for Ashleigh Plumptre, the Left side became so weak thank God for Christy Ucheibe who had to slot into the CB position occasionally in between Ohale and Demehin..
Please can you post the link to that full game? Can't find it anywhere on YouTube.

What are Nigeria projection?
Of course Nigeria has always had projections (too many to list here). Even Abacha had vision 2010. His successors took it further to vision 2020 and now I think we have vision 2060.
So I don't think there's any Nigerian alive who still pays attention to projections by politicians.

Heck Tinubu even has a book on his ideal economy which was launched as far back as 2013.

Me personally, I care less about projections by African leaders. Just do what you can do now. Do more, talk less.

Ruto ambitious 5yr Economic Projections.
1) Double GDP from Uhuru's 12.5 trillion to almost 25 trillion.
2) More than double revenues from 2.2 trillion to 4.9 trillion.
3) Reduce debt to gdp from 65% to 55%. Reduce budget deficit to 3%.

25 trillion assuming exchange rate of 130 - will be 200B dollars economy.

By 2032 - when Ruto is done - Kenya will have caught up with stuck South Africa and have overtaken Nigeria
Hmm hopefully oo. If it's by projections and plans only, all of Africa would be paradise by now.

Lol, on a side note though, l love the engagement from those guys and the passion they have for their team because I follow their comments sometimes on Facebook. Anything that has to do with their female national team, has at least over 100 comments.

This has always been the case even if you go back 6 years ago and I am happy their team has grown so much to become one of the top 4 teams in Africa at the moment.

Ghana 🇬🇭 didn't default. How can a rich country than America 🇺🇸 borrow talkmore of defaulting?. grin
Lol. Ghana definitely did not default, it was just for politics (in the voice of Just40) 😂😄

Anyway on a more serious note, I think their decision to default and restructure in order to quickly seal the IMF 600 million dollars and stop servicing those debts for now was not that bad, seeing how it helped in 2023. The restructuring, though painful, put less pressure on Ghanaian Govt resources this year.

But this Ethiopian reason for likely default is strange. That Ethiopia cannot pay 33 million dollars? This is what is astonishing.

Ethiopia is set to join Zambia and Ghana as a sovereign defaulter.

The government advised a group of its euro bondholders that it’s not in a position to pay the $33 million coupon due Monday because of the nation’s “fragile external position..."

The real boss here is South Africa.

Let's keep Nigeria 2022 population at 200 million, 273 billion divisible by 200 million is 1,365 dollars.
Divide this by 365 days and you have the average consumer spending at 3.7 dollars per pay.

Ghana 55 billion divide by 30 million and you have 1,833, further divide by 365 days and you have 5 dollars average consumer spending per day.

South Africa 256 billion divided by 60 million people gets you 4,266 dollars, further divide by 365 days and you get average consumer spending at 11.6 dollars a day.

Kenya 80 billion by 54 million people get you 1,481 dollars, further divide by 365 days and you have average consumer spending at 4 dollars per day.

South Africa comes first
Ghana second
Kenya third
Nigeria 4th
Our argument and your so called report is not about per capita but just the pure numbers, isn't it?

You said 99% of Nigerians which is an exaggeration because Nigerian foods are locally produce only rise in petrol prices affect transportation costs from farms. Most of these poor Nigerians pay little money for food items because they have their farms.
The middle class Nigerians definitely spend up 10000 dollar at KFC but they spend nothing close to it when they eat at home.
Where did I say 99%? I don't get you.

I've just posted two already and they all say the same thing 😂🤣
99% of Nigerians are not in the 10 dollars spending range.

One from statista and another from the world Bank...if you want the actual site of the data...just search this platform or the previous one and you'll get it because I've posted it several times here.

Buying 7 dollars and 11 dollars Spotify and Netflix monthly subscription does not compare to spending 10 dollars a day.
How many Nigerians even go to KFC in a day to spend 3 dollars and 5 dollars on their food? 😂🤣 For most Nigerians it is like saving up Money to one day have a feast 😂🤣
I'm just being real bro..

Just look above , there are various screenshots with similar information.

Basically, all of Southern Africa are faring better off because they have a good proportion of their citizens who can basically spend 10 dollars a day without reaching empty pocket hence they are considered the best consumer markets on the continent.

Nigeria is considered base on economics of scale
Give me screenshot of the World Bank report. I can't find where you posted it. Just only the World Bank report and I would end the argument.

Why would Nigeria spending be estimated based on dollar when Nigerians actually spend naira.

Almost all Nigerian foods are locally produced except when buying imported products for luxury.
I understand but because we are comparing with other countries, we argue based on dollars which of course doesn't do justice to the argument based on purchasing power parity.

You have forgotten how much of a big money 10 dollars is in Nigeria such that 99% of Nigerians do not even make that in a day to be able to spend in one day.
We are talking about 13,000 Naira here 🤣😂

You're dragging a fact from research done by so many credible institutions and come out with similar results.
This is consumer spending report for Nigeria Ghana and Kenya from 2019 to 2022. Compare and Contrast. Ghana has the lowest total consumer spending out of all three.

Nigeria consumer spending in 2022 was 273 Billion dollars, SA was 256 Billion dollars, Kenya was around 80 Billion dollars and Ghana at 55 Billion dollars.

There is no data to show that 99% of Nigerians do not make or spend 10 dollars in a day.😄

Nigerians and Kenyans together with SA spend more money on things like KFC, Netflix, and Spotify than any other Subsaharan African nation. How then is it possible that 99% Nigerians cannot spend 10 dollars a day ?😄😂

Give me just one screenshot or link of this World Bank report and I would concede this argument.

you're acting like a girl child

statista, World Bank and various other organizations ain't blogs
Just provide the World Bank report. I have searched and the last report I saw from World Bank on Nigeria says 40% are poor and 31.9% are lower middle income class leaving 29% at upper middle income class and above and this was a 2020 report.

Data on those who are upper middle class is marked on that report as not available but if approximately 70% is below lower middle income class (5.5 dollars per day), then approximately 30% or 60 million Nigerians live above 5.5 dollars per day which is double the population of Ghana already. From this proportion and incomplete data, it's already skewed against Ghana.

It's just common logic and this is why you and I can't find any World Bank report on this.

you've bundle Soo many things into one comment such that I get the feeling , you're absolutely confused.

What has unicorns got to do with individual consumer spending at 10 dollars, which I posted?
Unicorns (Companies worth over 1Bn dollars).

My point is that it is impossible to have such a much smaller private sector as we see in Ghana as compared to Nigeria and then see more people spend 10 dollars there than Nigeria.

This is because the bigger the formal private sector, the more they employ consumers who can at least spend over 10 dollars daily.

Even aside that, looking at it from every other angle, it is just impossible to have Ghana as 2nd on that list.

The point still stands. You cannot find any report directly from the World Bank that states this.

the fact is , the most sophisscated and developed part of china is not in anyway better than the most developed part of Germany while the less consider developed part of Germany has certainly all the kind of developed china modern city. .

On your second stance , Chinese people see owing German product as a bragging right Eg. My tv is made in germany is a bragging right in China.

German produce for high end user hence their known quality while china industrialization is based on mass production . Quality is a little bit of no issue there
Have you been to Germany or do you stay there? Germany is developed all round no doubt, but there are some kind of complex, lovely bridges and buildings I see on videos of China that I am yet to see physically in Germany.

I know Germany very well since I have shuttled between Germany and Nigeria for about a decade now and visited every major city in Germany. Germany is my second home.

Also, Chinese Companies dominate Germany as well but the German companies are the most dominant of course and top notch.

They have a point. Germany has development spread across every inch of the entire country. I don't know if that's the case with China given how big China is both in population and landmass.

But in terms of finesse, creativity, or complexity of infrastructure, no European country comes close to China.

it is about the size of middle class. Not poor / not rich . In a square circle .

This should tell you the report only focus on middle income earner
If you are not poor or extremely poor then you are either low middle income earner or middle income earner or rich/very rich.

Before we even go on, give me the direct link from the World Bank that also gave this report you are quoting (which they say is from the World Bank).

You guys should be a bit smarter than this , Nigeria has this absolute poor people even more than china with 1.2 billion people. That is how crazy the figure is.

And tthe report only target sub saharan africa . Egypt , morocco will prefer to classify theirself as an arab country rather than africa. Even in the last world cup , morocco claim they are representing arab world

And there is no way the rest of all other africa country mentioned up there can have more middle class than Ghana judging by their number of poor citizens . World bank report has details . Just check .
The bolded makes no sense. Let's assume out of Nigeria's 200 million population, there are 150 million poor citizens (both poor and extremely poor), that would still put the number of citizens who are not poor or extremely poor at 50 million and that is already bigger than the population of Ghana.

As you can, Common sense should tell you that Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria were not part of the report because they had internal issues as at the time the data were being collated.

Good luck to the order of yours as it has nothing to do with consumer spending data from consistent years of world Bank reports.
Did you see the spending range of 10 dollars
Give me this World Bank report directly from the World Bank.

If the highest number of millionaires in Subsaharan Africa are in:

SA
Nigeria
Kenya

How then is it possible for Ghana to have more consumer spending power than the last two of these three countries?

If companies worth 1 Billion dollars and above are also in SA (123), Nigeria (23) and Kenya (7) before Ghana (4), how then can Ghana with just 4 unicorn firms have more consumer spending power than a country with 23?

Local stock market shares also, thesame story.

Mention any consumer spending indices you can think of based on anything , it's always:

SA (far above), Nigeria, Kenya

Lying requires a bit of intelligence. This list was compiled in 2021 by a Ghanian who hates Nigeria - don't play with us. I've gone through WB 2023 report, and there is nothing of the sort.
The list doesn't even make sense. It's impossible as it doesn't correspond with anything else we know. For example: Everything about the top 5 middleclass and the rich in Africa has always been in this order in terms of numbers:

SA
Egypt
Nigeria
Morocco
Kenya

So if that is the case, then it's impossible that Ghana would have the second highest middleclass number in Africa.

Just commonsense.

Tell them to give you the original WorldBank report.

Physicality isn't hold up play, I only cited it cause it's one of the attributes a highly physical forward possesses. Also, note that the conversation is comparative - meaning either of the players doesn't have to possess all the attributes that make for physicality, but in comparison who is better.

Onumonu obviously does, she has more agility, and to your question she is more likely to bulldoze her way through than Esther. What Esther has over her which I have acknowledged from the very beginning is skill and maybe pace. Esther doesn't have to bulldoze her way through defences, she gets that done with dribbles and her being witty.
Anyway, I have watched just few of her games at club level, but for the superfalcons I only see her hold up play nothing else in terms of physicality. Or maybe it's just me.
