The stations have a right to sell at the price they feel is appropriate.
The announcement by baba blabulu was rash and not properly thought out,but going back to the subsidy regime is out of it because prices that have been increased as a result of the subsidy removal,will not be reversed by the average greedy Nigerian,if the subsidy is reinstated or a higher,but not totally deregulated price fixed.
The only downside to this subsidy removal is that Dangote may enjoy monopoly of supplying petroleum products to the country,so may fix the price at whatever he wants.

Any fuel station owner that like, they should close indefinitely from tomorrow. Buhari made a budget for subsidy from January 2023- June 2023, it makes no sense for filling stations that enjoyed subsidy to start increasing price for no sane reason.

Subsidy will end on the last day of June

Good development. However more needs to be done. Tinubu has to ensure that the local refineries are working and also have to commence the cushioning effect asap. If he delays then he just succeeded in signing his political death warant as he would become unpopular.

Between people increasing the price and tulubu that announced it who is greedy ? We still have one month left before the end of subsdy regime why announce it now and the marketers are aware.

buhari was minister of petroleum and in charge of all the security agencies in the country for 8years. he didnt tackle fuel marketers and oil thieves and you are now expecting governors to tackle fuel marketers. how do you want them to do that?

Too early to start making excuses.
Government is the supplier of the product.
Government is the regulator of the product.
Government wants to make it a free market.
So what is all the excuses for.
Just flood the market with the product.

Was expecting complete deregulation by yesterday.
It didn't happen.
Who's fault, is it not government.
And everyday this government delays the act (not mere talk or threat) it becomes increasingly harder to do it.
