There isn't much difference in culture between interior Tanzanians and interior Kenyans apart from the fact that the living standards of interior Kenyans are pretty higher. If you walk around Lake Victoria, the only difference you'll see is the Kenyan side is more developed, culture is practically the same. Maasais roam both countries and many of them hold citizenship of both countries. There are Luos in both countries, Kurias in both countries. Chaggas are practically the Tanzania version of Kikuyus and Sukuma are the Tanzania version of Luhyas. To be fair to genie, it's possible to tell Kenyan Swahili from Tanzanian Swahili. That's of course if you listen to hinterland dwellers. Hinterland Tanzanians still have a coastal kinda melody while hinterland Kenyans don't. No notable difference for coastal dwellers from Somalia down to Mozambique. Kenyan Swahili is the one with more Bantu/nilotic/cushitic interference. Just listen to a typical kyuk, kamba, Luo or Somali speaking Swahili. They basically apply their mother tongue tunes to the Swahili, which is actually why we have very lucrative jokes industry based on the stereotypes, like how Kales speak swa, etc.

I have listened to varied Tanzanians speak Swahili and I can tell you they have a standard thing. 1) The biggest feature is the ACCENT. You may think I'm trying to hate on Kenya, but no, this is the truth from my observation. Tanzanians tend to speak swahili so softly and melodiously, while I noticed Kenyans have a rougher accent.

2) I watch out for English. You hardly hear a word of English in Tanzanian movies or music, but Kenya is vice versa

3) Religion. It is very common to see women in hijab and other islamic features in Tanzanian movies.

4) Looks. It is very common to see mixed Arab looking people in Tanzanian movies.
Apart from the mixed folks, many Tanzanians just have another kind of look that I really can't explain which is very different from that of Kenyans.
