Mehn! this underground recruitment is very intense oo, from "ministers" down to the "clerk" in HR are trying to force their candidates down NNPC's throat. I just hope they apply wisdom in yielding to their pressure to ensure the common man gets a fair share of the deal. It is quite sickening, haba!

Please pray you get alert soonest. Let’s take a look at this scenario. If some candidates who forged credentials or had certain discrepancies in their interview files, passed the first stage of a recruitment, when an employer discovers the irregularities or forgeries in their files, the employer will frown at how the candidates even made it thus far. So in this case, NNPC will not even release money to even pay people who NNPC feels shouldn’t have been in the interview in the first place. Therefore getting alert is the first stage to show you have been considered a true applicant. I’m just feeling sorry for those who haven’t still gotten alert up till now; I just pray that your file is not in Mama Funke’s akara store.

For shell, who said so or in what context did you hear about the october resumption. They've been shockingly and surprisingly slow about their process. I would be very very glad if you are right as it would make decisions easier for me.
Aptitude test/personality test ? isn't it all done online? and that stage has been passed for over a month

I have given up on advising people to stop spreading that negative thinking.

That was how my colleague's brother was ranting that DPR was not recruiting on merit, that the interview was just a formality, that he was asked the name of the senator representing his district (as if many others were not asked current affairs) blablabla.

The guy got the job eventually and could not eat his words after blackmailing DPR.

Someone I brought to Lagos - a brilliant guy but not so exposed then - that stayed with me while doing NYSC, that I was the one that shared interview tips with right in my sitting room, got NNPC job in 2012. He didn't know anybody. Although he didn't take it (on my advice too).

These are few examples of people that dont know anybody in NNPC or DPR.

Look, we can't deny that people get into these places by connection, but I have seen enough reason to believe that up to 70% is based on merit. I don't care if people don't agree but I can confidently say it anywhere. I even mentioned it in a book I wrote in 2014.

All my sources only debunked the cancellation rumour. None has given me any clue of when the successful candidates will be contacted since the "latest September" response I got 2 weeks ago.

I also don't like bothering people too much. After being told "latest September" and September hasn't come, bothering again doesn't look good.

Be careful not to give in to this buying slot of a thing , at this eleventh hour! There’s a certain guy that is usually privy to lists, either N-power, CBN Agric loan, or even recruitments. He picks hopefuls numbers and asks ridiculous things claiming he’s from the office of the CoS. Just be extra careful.

Your name may already be on the list and the person probably knows.. clean N1m ontop your head, Lol.

So, the only new thing I reliably heard today was that, of the certain number to be recruited per state, some states didn’t even have up to that number interviewed. So they might have most of their interviewees hired and then top up with contract staff especially if they’re from the said states.

Resumption is still October!
