You would agree with me that very few persons know how successful candidates were selected after CBT and probably after the interview. Collation are done by human beings albeit staff but you cannot tell at what level. The secretary taking notes, the guys that ushered us into the ampitheatre, i may be wrong but they all look like junior staff. Someone may be looking to make fast cash. In this kind of organisations, APLs are not entirely dependent on just your performance; grace, luck and connections are involved. Privileged staff at any stage of the recruitment, if they are involved in the process can swap names due to nepotism, financial gains et al.

Do you think some persons asking for panel information are just asking for the fun of it? In summary, whoever is destined to get the APL will get and that is pretty much it.

Sometimes i just laugh at the sudden influx and mood, the news of people using long leg creates on this page(i see several (maybe strange) monikers springing up driving this point, quoting and supporting each other almost immediately) knowing that you can be deprived of what's by merit yours as a result of someone having stronger connections, my question is "is it supposed to be news? Isnt it a settled fact that such is inevitable but what i don't agree with is when such is beign painted to look like a dearth (70% connections, 30%merit) causing unnecessary panic. sometimes i take some of these claims as an insult (imagine someone telling us a slot is beign sold for 1million naira), na hungry people dey influential positions(strong enough to runs appointment) for NNPC? Its shows how such individuals has demeangly placed our IQ's to sell us such cheap stories "believing that we would believe" #lol grammar. What bothers me is when i begin to see people panic and reason along their line of thought. Una go sweet to scam. Some People got the job during the last recruitment without knowing anybody. Some EH said they were paid 12th of July, that was a Friday, interview ended Thursday 11th of July.

First of all, you need to comprehend people's POV before you start responding and not responding based on your own personal bias.

1. All sauces here could not explain why ppl are being randomly selected for payment, this was the most viable explanation and has no bearing whatsoever with any theory not to talk of APL.

2. Sourcing for funds automatically implies that funds are limited, hence not all will get paid at the same time. When funds are limited, it is only normal to skip some ppl at random and pay others. There is no law that enforces them to follow interview dates or names on same list serially. It is entirely at their discretion.

3. The names of those ppl on the narration are staff...Do you know them personally or you are still making reference to their LinkedIn profile which they can choose not to update after leaving NNPC? I suggest you look at their LinkedIn profile again to see how 'scanty' it looks, hinting abandonment. (I know a lot of ppl whose profile shows they are still working where they left 10years ago, so hold that profile with a pinch of salt)

4. Most govt. contracts don't have mobilisation fee (that's why they are govt., you either choose to mobilise funds yourself upon receiving the contract award to show commitment, then follow them up for disbursement of funds, or they award it to someone else.)

Please if you don't understand what people are discussing, it won't hurt to ask questions. No one is dragging any useless theory with you.

All of you jumping on this have been paid I guess, trying to make yourselves feel at ease (taking the NL theory on the divide matter too serious). This has been dissected sometimes back on this thread, the names of those on the narration are staffs and not contractors. Your replies or quotes cannot pacify NNPC to dash you APL aswear! Why not hold your money, enjoy it and await the APL.
Government contracts have mobilization fees and all.... if the contractors as you believe are sourcing to pay applicants, why have they not completed the payment for the ppl who haven't received alert till date after several batches of reimbursement (for all the dates that have been massively paid, NLanders as a case study)? Why skipping the rest to pay other dates incompletely also? I pray a lot of you people don't have High BP when APL eventually drops sha. You better flex your pay and just remain hopeful, not justifying why you have been paid.
And if you wish to join the band wagon of the theorists like me, do so lightly on whatever divide. It's all for fun and not the extra seriousness y'all are attaching.

According to information at my disposal before Salah Break, I was told that the List of the successful candidates is ready. The person told me that 70% was used as the Cut-Off and many candidate met the Cut-Off but they were planning to increase it to 75%.

Since it came to my knowing (ofcourse from this thread) that interviews was concluded on Thursday and reimbursement began the following day (as the case of Abt). It looked too short a period of time to make such a hasty conclusion on something as sensitive as who is in or out (i may be wrong) hence the disbursement, what happens if a computer program was written <60 not successful, according to some of our creative suggestions here ( which i agree with) but this leads to certain states not being well represented as a result of that? I believe this is a decision that needs careful consideration and some back and forths, a little compromise here and there to have a balanced outcome, but then this is just a bloody opinion too.

Uhm! This is 9ja where the staff of a company can hijack the contract meant to be awarded to an external contractor leveraging on insider information. Secondly, they could just be ex-staff of NNPC who have refused to update their LinkedIn profile to reflect so (this is an unverified guess but it is not impossible)

I have a very close pal who is into media, most of his projects are first self funded, sometimes to prove capacity to his clients, payment for the job wont come until the project is completely executed and delivered, im not saying that's exactly what going on with nnpc, but there's some sense in it. What else could be responsible for scanty payment if not insufficient funds and who else would be associated with such when it can't be a whole nnpc if not contractors and how can such happen if its not that they have to source for funds themselves owing to not being paid by nnpc to execute the project ( for whatsoever reasons), hit or miss, his/her explanation has some elements of "reasonability" in them . an hypothesis to give a benefit of doubt.

this is no theory,but pure fact..i have been graciously favored to be working as a contract staff in one of the SBUs,which makes me interact daily with staffs of different sets.while the theories have lasted, the groups' been lively but let me throw some input from what i've gathered so far.
1. some staffs working now were paid T-fare, some weren't as confirmed from one just now cos i'm in the office..he specifically said him and some colleagues discussed it recently and while he got,some said they didn't get but they are all working now in the NNPC for over 15 years.
2.one other staff said their set wasn't paid at all, perhaps he wasn't paid
3. some panelists came from this particular SBU cos i can attest that i know over 10-20 of them that left from here with 3 of my bosses among..it will interest you to know i had 2 of them on my panel with one being the chairman sef who recognized me when he saw me back at the office when i couldn't even recognize him,and the other one who was transferred back to Towers from this SBU in GHR dept.
4.they say everyone will be paid,but i know the Nigerian factor will come to play...
5.Most of them claim they don't have any idea of what is going on,i have tried to draw info from the top ogas even the one that recognized me him being a manager but to no avail,they all keep saying we have passed the recommendation...i heard immediately after the end of the days interview recommendations are sent..so keep your fingers crossed and to those who think not getting alert is akin to automatic employment, calm down and hope..because there is no correlation at all these payments are contracted and the contractors source for their monies to pay before they are reimbursed hence you are seeing peoples name and not NNPC directly making the payments..at least that's what happens where i work..
like i said yesterday i have followed this thread from the beginning but refrained from commenting because all theories were baseless but interesting to read tho..

APL should be out on or before 2nd week of September seeing we have to resume in October and they would likely give a minimum of 3weeks to accept the offer.

Your inference is constructive, the october resumption thing looks more like it, the new DSDP (direct sales of crude oil and Direct Purchase of petroleum products) arrangement by NNPC awarded to 15 companies(bid winners) kick starts 1st october 2019 and terminates 30th september 2020. On another note i have an hunch that although back door influence cannot be eliminated however it will be minimal in this recruitment, my reason is very unintelligent though but i think the new GMD has a lot to prove at this early stage of his appointment (integrity, capacity e.t.c). His level of compromises is likely to be minimal (even legit ones may be turned down). The exercise has not been cancelled. Yes all is ready but it’s been delayed for reasons best known to those in-charge. The prayer is that the list be released ASAP despite the agitations from different quarters. However the number of those that will make it compared to those partook in the interview is interestingly small.

Who else was told this in the amphitheatre? about 1300 or so out of the alleged 9000 is relatively small. I believe we all have an idea of this already, don't start thinking excessive back door influence.

Guys o, some persons are already out to scam some applicants. I'll spare us the irrelevant details. I received a call this morning from a strange number (see attached) requesting I resend my credentials. Reason that they want to confirm if the credentials I submitted during the interview were mine. Local was beaming with joy and happiness, in his mind, his name is on the APL List. I was sent mail addresses to forward the credentials to (they weren't suspicious mail address). Some minutes later I was sent two mails (see attached screenshots). On requesting how do I get my Portal form, I was asked to pay to (#3400 only) to obtain the form ☺. It dawn on me that I passed through all that stress only to attend to a scammer. Mtcheewwww. Local man cannot hold this anger anymore.

Don’t believe everything you are told about this recruitment. A presidency source has once told me that interviews will continue till the end of August. I didn’t believe him and never contacted him again for any update. Yesterday, one of the heads of a federal parastatal told me that this recruitment will be canceled. When I probed further, he couldn’t provide details. The truth is that anyone helping you to secure a slot will always look for an excuse to absorb him/herself the blame of not being able to help. For me, don’t expect 100% transparency. This is still NIGERIA. There are guys here with more credible sources than even people in the Tower but some of us here just need to be more matured and stop unnecessary insults/attack
