While atheist nations boasts of industries, technology and prosperity, Nigeria which is the poverty capital of the world boasts of pastors who collect from the poor and appear of Forbes whilst morality goes down the drain.. During thier time, paternity fraud is highest, corruption, rituals, prostitution.. So what purpose do this churches serve.? Spits.. Shame
When I did my research and realized that I know alot about Christianity and the scriptures more than even big pastors like adeboye, oyedepo, Sulaiman and Chris Oyakilome. I Do not think These guys even even know who God is.now atimes, I try to listen to thier preaching on TV or stream.. I will fall down and laugh at the nonsense they spew to thier followers.. Lol.. Study the Bible in its original language with the help of Greek and Hebrew scholars and the scales will fall off your eyes. Infact, when I realized that God is not a Christian.
FellaG: I noticed, it's only middle belt and sountherners that were often executed for coups in Nigeria. Middle belt and sountherners lost enough men in the military. I will check which tribe died more in the C130 plane crash of 1992.i hope my fears won't be confirmed
Prolific007: He summarized the whole of Nigeria's problem and truly the core north is our major problem, one of the reasons we can't progress as a nation. All I can do now is wish it had pull through back then atleast for the fact that the shackles of slavery would have been broken off our neck. The core north is ruling this nation like how a grand master rules in a secret cult with so much clandestine activities.
Bro, you spoke my mind. I just avoided mentioning that in my summision. The same problem we have then, is the same now
Prolific007: It is thesame issues Major Gideon Orkar highlighted then are still what we're struggling with as a country currently. These were brave people ready to die for a cause rather than all this spineless youths and semi old cargoes that prefer to live for nothing, and all they can do best is phuck and breed children with no future in view.
Things fall apart.....There was a country
There was a country.. I should go back and read Chinua achebe's book.. Our problem has been the same since 1960
jesusjnr2020: When Ron Kenoly came to Nigeria in 2003 or so, I heard a singer passionately talking about just how he just wished he could hold Ron Kenoly's leg, that's it's all he desires to do. I mean he kept going on and on and couldn't see anything wrong in that mindset, and I just shook my head and felt really sorry for Him.
God dey there dey wait for who wants to drink, and who He would fill up with His Spirit, this one na human being leg that he wants to tap anointing or whatever from. I felt really sorry for him but the saddest part is that his mindset is not a odd one in the church but the norm more or less. No one wants to pay the price anymore. Everyone looking for free things, they don't want to do anything to get, hence what they want, they have as the Spirit has left them to themselves.
People like righteousness88 will avoid this thread like a plague.
BlackfireX: Mumumu you want to cut the North from the south..
How do these southerners think..
Nigeria is one
I used to think the coup planner Gideon orkar was an igbo man..
Viva la north
Lol.. That is what made his coup fail.. But I kinda understand what he was trying to do. The seat of power was in Lagos. Orkar and Co were not concerned with what happens up north. Thier mission was to grap power in the Lagos centre and then give conditions to the north if they still want to be part of Nigeria. If it came to a fight, they will have the upper hand. The North will have no choice other than accepting thier conditions. The North is land locked, No oil etc and depend on the south to live well
Racoon: Lolz! The IBB-Abacha-Dogonyaro coup and suspense over throw announcemence of August 27 1985 was the most suspense.Lagos was practically paralysed with fear that one can feel even in the air.
Racoon: I still remember that day especially the shelling around the state house as the coup progressed. The major reasons why the coup failed was because of the failure of the coupists to secure heavy calibre weapons and the pre-mature cutting off of Northern Nigeria from the rest of the country.I remember a soldier was killed @ the armoury that day.RIP sergeant.
I kinda miss the suspense when after a session of martial music, you hear.. fellow Nigerians.. Lol
CharleyBright: The Gideon Orkar coup was majorly orchestrated by officers of Middle- Belt. The major reason why it failed was the coup planners sought to divide Nigeria by cutting off Northern Nigeria from the rest of the Country. Why some top ranking officers in the Military were adversed to the corrupt style of the Babangida Administration and would have supported the Orkar coup, but when the clear intent of the coup began to emerge, they backed out especially the christian officers from Plateau and Kaduna who were not liking the idea of being cut off to remain attached to the North.
Till date, the unity of Nigeria is a political game amongst the military officer in North especially the Christian officers from Plateau, Niger and Nasarawa and Kaduna states. It is not that the Military officer from Northern Nigeria are so muchinterested in the unity of Nigeria, but for them Nigeria must remain United so they would not be left at the mercy of Northern Muslims.
FellaG: They made use of tanks and mainly artillery weaponry. Nice strategy but they focused mainly on Lagos and were ready to cut off the north if need be. Brave men
Major Gideon Gwaza Orkar (October 4, 1952 - July 27, 1990) was a Nigerian military officer who staged a violent coup against the government of General Ibrahim Babangida on April 22, 1990. Orkar and his conspirators seized the FRCN radio station, various military posts around Lagos and the Dodan Barracks, Lagos, the military headquarters and presidential residence. Babangida was present when the barracks were attacked but managed to escape by a back route.
Na God save ibb then (see men DAT are ready 2 put deir life 4 d country)
Infact, now that am older, I kind of understand why they did what they did. It was a matter of the Northern domination on the oil rich and literate south. They failed. That's why Nigeria is still that way till now
On Sunday, April 22, 1990, about five years into Babangida’s bloody rule, a junior soldier, Major Gideon Orkar, announced the most audacious coup in the annals of the country which attempted to oust the fiercely-corrupt Babangida from power. The Orkar coup demystified Babangida, who fled, tail between legs, to Abuja, where he relocated the seat of power to from Lagos after escaping being killed, through the courage of his security aides. Colonel UK Bello his ADC confronted the coup plotters but was killed inside an armoured tank. Subsequently, the coup was foiled and the plotters were arrested. Orkar, a Tiv from Benue State, and 41 other soldiers were shot to death on July 27, 1990. Maj Saliba Mukoro was alleged to be the ring leader and brain behind the coup. He conscripted Orkar at the later stages. Maj Saliba Mukoro was the first PhD holder in the military. An intelligent officer of the Military police,US trained and from Delta state. Documentary on the coup below
olaeffect: You opinion and believe. No basis whatsoever from the scriptures. You are of the belief that poverty is a sign of godliness, and this is an error, contentment is different from lack Sir.
You obviously have a problem with comprehension. Where did I say I have a belief that poverty in a sign of godliness.. Don't u understand 'contentment'.? And no one has shown me anyone in the scriptures that became weathy on account of following Christ.. I challenge you to show me from scriptures otherwise, disappear
victorazy: Somebody your still reading about till today is not rich? They are not only rich, they are wealthy. Change your thinking.
Pls show me people that became weathy in the Bible after they followed christ. Pls I am begging you. Pls sir... They have finished your brain.. Lol.. If Enenche is wealthy just know that it is not christ he is serving
olaeffect: God bless you. If he is poor now they will still be the ones calling them hungry pastors. I just wonder why the success of pastors gives some people sleepless nights.
Christianity preaches contentment and not luxury. You cannot actually be rich as a real pastor cos you will share out everything to those that have needs. Any Rich pastor is a charlatan
My father is the creator of the whole universe, the earth and all therein. Psalm 46...
How can my father be this rich and I will be poor?
Truly your brain is blocked or your a Muslim iidiot. Akwoya!
I asked you which of the disciples of christ was rich, you are quoting psalms for me?Was the writer of psalms a Christian? Your pastor has blocked your brain. You think serving God is a means to financial gain.. Lol.. Anyways, if u serve mammon like your pastors do, he will bless you with money.
victorazy: No! because Jesus was made poor in heaven not on Earth Ewu.
Be poor! Remain poor!! Die poor!!!
Even Jesus rode on dunky
Block head. Jesus rode a Donkey once and it was borrowed. Heavenly riches my friend.. Not earthly riches.. How many of christ disciples were rich? None.. Your pastor is a dunce, his members are blockhead.
