pstadabi: .... I guess you ar new in this forum go back and check previous interview you will gain a lot of things that is what I did too. You can start from Jan interview. .. But what I will advise you is make sure u go dea with certificates not notification of result and don't laminate. It helps a lot.
1. SSCE Certificate not Notification.
2. Bsc or Ond,Hnd Certificate not Notification

WHITE LADY: but there are many Universities in Nigeria that offer this course and you still want to travel as far as USA to study the same course why? I doubt your genuine intention and therefore can’t give you the entry visa that you have applied for. is this real or a joke

ARINZE: (with anger started shouting) please give me back my passport let me get out of this place, what do you think that is in USA that is not in Nigeria, what do you think that I will see in USA that we don’t have in Nigeria here, do you think that USA is in any way better than this country and if you think thank USA is better than Nigeria, then why have you chosen to stay in Nigeria instead of your country America?
WHITE LADY: (with serious anger and love for her dear country stood up and said to him) look am gonna give you entry visa to USA so that you gonna travel to America and see what is in USA the different between America and Nigeria. (out off anger, she stamped the visa for Arinze).
On this note prophesy; let what people consider to be mistakes, failures, disappointments , backwardness, stagnation, pains etc be turned into your miracles in Jesus name.
Also share this message/prayer to as many people as you can and be blessed in Jesus name.

temmytanny: MY ADVICE,
I dont know who is going to host you here,your brother,uncle,aunty or whatever but please dont relax and expect luxury here.They worked to make their cash and you must also be prepared to do so once you enter US. If you have cash in naija,bring all along with you to start your new life here,am not saying you should sell your assets oooo but if need be do so,you will make your money back once you start work here.
Once you arrive,start looking at how you will get a job so that you can be independent.Am not sayin you should neglect schooling runs but let job be priority.Once you settle down you can now plan ahead.

pstadabi: Olorun mi mo dupe. My E-family make some noiseeeeee. My visa has been granted. Today is tough the three windows except window 14 is considerable. I can't shout. Gist later. I still dey dance kukere and azonto nw even I don dance near water na pple push me back. Lolssss.

monsieursam64: we are sailing on d same boat, let's zero our mind to d nxt bulletin. Hopefully, we will get our 2nl nxt month expecting our interview to be scheduled in june. PATIENCE REMAINS THE KEY!

A friend has this issue and he needs a clarification. The name on his NYSC discharge certificate was written like this -Saliiu Damola Ayomide instead of the normal name which is- Saliu Damola Ayomide.

As long as there is no error in spelling of the names let the names remain the way they are, the embassy know that Nigerians bear too many names and that the names are not always arranged the same way. i have said it before on the thread, don't go and complicate things for yourself in trying to play safe. secondly please house i think its high time some of us use our head, if you find a page that has already treated your questions take note of that page possible write down the page munber for future reference and make research. i am not sure that some selectees have taken their time to read through the DV instructions, and if you are new please kindly go through what others have said before bursting any questions. thanks my E-Family i love you all while waiting to be current we shall all get there IJN Amen.

Gentiger: I got my green card in the mail. It's been 16 days since arrival to the States. Now the journey truly begins.

doctorp76: Got to the embassy by 5:30am and did the normal sercurity checks, paid my visa fees and waited for my number to be called... After many hours my number was display at window 14.

Gentiger: THAT your green card expires does not mean your permanent residency expired. It means the plastic card is due for replacement. You can choose to remain a green card holder by renewing it but greater benefits accrues to you If you apply to naturalize. It's entirely up to you.

Godhelpmeooo: I dont know where to start from cos everything is stil like dream to me,but thank God its not a dream its real,lol,we left home by 4;35 am in the morning and we we got to the embassy around 5;40 am,we joined the que,later after some minute of standing on the line,we imigrant were told to be seperated from non imigrant line .i never knew that we should not go in with any liquid thing,my wife took along one juice for my baby but she was told to go and drop it but they granted me acceess,when my wify was coming back to join me,i was at the back of the line sundenly one secuirity man just taped her from the back that she should stay at the front and she should cal me to stay with her(first favour)After all secuirity check,we finally got to the hall and we pay our visa fees and we were told to sit down as usual,after like 7 minutes ,my number was caled at window 20 to submit my documents.so after that the waiting started,it was one guy at window 13 that first started interviewing people and he granted almost everybody.after like 50 mins one "orobo" came to window 14 and he started interviewing people,but dis guy at window 14 like wahala,less i forget my son never allowed me and my wife to rest for a minute to the extent that we were focus by everybody(lol)later our number was caled at window 13 and our interview goes like dis

temmytanny: @all,its not been easy for me in the past few days going to work and coming to nairaland to make comments.I runs two jobs and have busy lately(US is all about money and hours ).I want to wish those yet to go for interview success.PLease,always be smart,courageous and wear smiles on your face whenever you go and face the COs.Make sure your documents are intact aleast two weeks before your interview.If you arent traveling immediately after visa issuance,its advisable you do your medical few days(may be 2weeks)to your interview so that your medicals dont expire before leaving naija.Police report is 3months but no longer needed once you get ur visa.Go to embassy with ever document that would help you and not implicate you.All required documents must be in one envelop with two photocopies each(though,they need just one photocopy).The visas are yours,they are just helping you to keep them.
AMERICA IS SWEET ooooooo the more you work,the more money you make,please do fast and come and join us

get it straight;your "green card"(permanent residency) will never expire you only need to renew the card after ten years. It is not compulsory your must be a citizen,if you like you can remain a permanent green card holder for life.
