What an elder sees while sitting down, a child cannot see when even standing on an iroko tree.
Most parents, not totally all, wish the best for their kids. They have been through the life stages we are still yet to encounter. I think the consent of parents should be considered greatly. Sometimes, when our senses get clouded by love and sentiments, our parents see the situation from different and rational view.
