Pls my people who would have thought that a legislator would have this type of heavy ammunition in his possession, will GEJ turn to a witch and fly into people's homes to know who and who is throwing bombs and destroying lives..

We need more fearless and outspoken legislators like senetor Ita Enang in Nigeria who always speak out the truth without fear or favour. This is why I prefer new breed politicians in Nigeria who will be more courageous to speak on burning issues and not all those old recycled politicians who only remain in politics to cover their dirty past tracks with that of their associates.
Mr President should revoke all oil well licences and share it using national character principle.

Dear Nairalanders, it's clear that some people are just out to paint the first lady or rather the Jonathan's administration bad and ugly. This issue of Patience Jonathan's 4billion naira budget proposal for her pet project is completely false and misleading. The truth is that Africa first ladies during the tenure of Turai Yaradua,african first ladies after a meeting in Congo in 2008 agreed to have their secretariat for peace situated in Abuja Nigeria and the first ldy agreed and sent the proposal to aso villa for endorsement but unfortunately her husband's demise didn't let that project to be considered till last year when after a meeting of the africa first ladies,they once again told the current Nigerian first lady of their previous agreement for the africa first lady mission building secretariat to be sited in Abuja.
The first lady sent the proposal once again to the villa and it is enshrined in the budget of the FCT and the national assembly will have the power to modify the estimation or approve it.
Let it be noted that this is not a personaal building or property or even a personal pet project of Nigeria first lady but rather a continental building meant for the frica first ladies and other international/regional bodies (e.g unesco,unicef,unido etc) concerned
With peace and conflict management and other health concerns.
The project will just be like the national hostpital abuja that was championed by Mrs Maryam Abacha or the others championed by late mrs babangida as a first lady.
Some people are sensationalizing this project just to paint the GEJ administration as "I don't know" so as to gain cheap political goals for themselves.
Once again this 4billion naira does not exist in2013 budget as Patience jonathan pet project money...go find out yourselves and don't believe every social media story u see

This is good news:::let the work begin as soon as possible,i remember in one interview last year where GEJ said he will be ashamed if after his tenure nothing is done about the 2nd Niger bridge.

I agree that Aba is not a state capital but is boistrious,bigger,economically&socially viable than many state capitals but the state government shouldn't overlook it or give it minimal attention because it is the backbone of Abia IGR.

I am not watching T.V now but i guess this info will definetly be on the bar news of all the major t.v stations in Naija.
