It is not a new story that some prominent Nigerians had once demonstrated their support for terrorist groups in the past.

Some of these prominent supporters of terrorist groups are people who happen to hold public offices in the country.

One of such people, who have been very outspoken about their support for such groups is Ganduje's aide, Muaz Magaji, who is also the chairman, Kano State Gas Pipeline Project Delivery and Gas Industrialization Committee.

Muaz Magaji was once sacked for celebrating the death of the late Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, and later reappeared as the chairman of Kano State Gas Pipeline Project Delivery and Gas Industrialization Committee.

Mr Magaji has recently shown his support for the Talibans in Afghanistan as he celebrated the victory of terrorist group in Afghanistan. Reacting to a story in the Daily New Hausa, announcing the Taliban government in Afghanistan, Mr Magaji said, "It's a WIN-WIN in Afghanistan today!"

Another such prominent Nigerian who has shown support for the terrorist group is the Minister of Communications and digital economy, Isa Pantami.

The minister had once prayed for the victory of the terrorist group in one of his vicious sermons in the 2000s. He had prayed saying, "This jihad is an obligation for every single believer, especially in Nigeria... Oh God, give victory to the Taliban and al-Qaeda (Allahumma' nsur Tālibān wa-tanzīm al Aä'ida)."

The Taliban fighters entered the city of Kabul on Sunday, hijacked power, forcing the president, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani to flee the country for a safer place.

So I met this girl around my area and I kind of liked her. When I approached her, she was playing hard to get. After a long while, she told me that the only condition for her to date me is if I will not interfere in her relationship as she has been engaged, and that I will let her go peacefully anytime she gets married.

It was a difficult one for me but I gave her my word not to interfere in her relationship and to let her go. Even my elder brother warned me not to spoil that relationship.

We started making out and I kept my word of not interfering in her relationship. Most times we are together and the guy calls, I tell her to pick his call, if their conversation is getting longer, I will simply excuse myself from the scene to allow her talk with her guy freely.

There was a time an old acquaintance of hers showed up and asked her out, She lied to me unknowing to her I was tracing her to the guy's house. When they entered, I called her on phone to enjoy herself that I know where she is. I also let her know that I pity her man as I have nothing to loose in this whole thing/

Fast forward to today, she came to my house and asked me my plans for her, I told her I don't understand as she is engaged. She told me to forget the engagement that I should not use it as an excuse. I told her I will keep to my word and she left angrily. since she got home she has been calling me to agree to marry her.

Spokesman insists move unconstitutional, Lawan preaches national interest

The Senate, yesterday, witnessed a sharp division during the consideration of a Bill for an Act to provide for the National Livestock Bureau.
The spokesman, Ajibola Bashiru, a lawyer, in his contribution, reminded the upper legislative chamber that no portion of the exclusive and concurrent components of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) gave the National Assembly powers to legislate on livestock.

He clarified that only the State Houses of Assembly were lawfully empowered to handle the issue, adding that further deliberation on the piece of legislation was unconstitutional.
While no other southern senators spoke, four of their northern colleagues, including the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, backed the bill.

Opposing Bashiru, Senator Bala Ibn N’Allah (Kebbi State) contended that the National Assembly could legislate on the matter, citing no constitutional provision to advance his argument.
