iamoyindamola: How's adding mustafi achievement turning Amala, all I know is achievement is either good or bad
Can you bring me proof he play preseason for city? Ok with the folded bold words, very very ok with it. Nice one. If you really need prove go and make the research yourself, I don't need to prove anything to you, not when I have realised that you clearly don't know as much as you think you do know about what I have been saying all along. Stay blessed. |

Ceenachi: I don't wanna believe it was the board or whosoever that brought Havertz......Arteta have a say in it...
Ok let assume it wasn't Arteta that brought Havertz, dis season transfer y didn't Arteta bring a natural CF, convert Gabriel Jesu to a winger (He already have the skills to beat a player, just for him to add one or two)
And remember last season, Arteta force Havertz to pick form... played him in the midfield which didn't work(everyone saw him last season) and it was part of the reason y we didn't win the league
Now dis season Arteta is playing Partey as a right back which made our midfield to look empty and it have cos us many point (I suspect Arteta is trying to force lazy Merino to pick form, d same way he did Havertz)
So....I dunno wanna believe his the board that force Artete to sign Havertz
If I b Arteta I won't sign Merino... We have Fabio Vieira there Convert Zinchenko to a midfielder( he plays as a midfielder in his country) Odegaard Partey Rice Jorginho Fabio Vieira and Zinchenko (6 midfield) and also remember Lewis Skelly is a natural midfielder making it 7 midfielder
Signing Cala wasn't a bad signing but I will use that fund to get an attacker....cos we kept more clean sheet and concede less last season
If i b Arteta I will use Cala and Merino fund to add more in our Attack than any other position
That's y I suspect the board have refused to release some funds to him but wetin I know 🤷🏾♂️ I choose to disagree with you on this. Loosing to Aston villa was the reason we didn't win the league in late the run in with city period. And the signing of kai is on Arteta and the board(whoever gets the credit for his signing no concern me again, na arsenal player now). And did you skip the part where I said his late blue blue magic of goals last season gave not just Arteta hope but me tol(I will admit that). Partey playing right back is because he's the only one in the squad who can maybe deputise for the injury players, when everyone is ok partey no dey play rb nau. We kept for CS doesn't eliminate the fact that the lb position was leaking steadily and needed an improvement. Stay blessed bro, we all want to see Arsenal win. Ps: Arteta no be my papa |

iamoyindamola: Let him win trophies or break assist record There's is a reason no one remembers all Alexis did because he didn't win epl Cesc won't be forgotten because of his assists, th14 and co have top the goals charts You want me to remember odegaard for providing the most key passes I can ask well remember mustafi for being the most mediocre defender then , at least that's an achievement too🤣
My point about Luiz is simple he stayed at city for 2 years and went on loan to girons for same years, if he was good enough he should have gotten at least a start in preseason
When I said he was in city academy this is another proof, he was initially signed for u18 https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11679/10949807/manchester-city-sign-douglas-luiz-from-vasco Every Arsenal fan who loves this club and watched Alex's will always remember him, maybe except you. Talking about mustafi is just you turning the same amala you always never hesitate to say others are turning when they do what you have been doing since we started this conversation. Another mistake you just made about douglas luiz is saying he didn't play in pre season, where do you even get your facts??. I would love to know seriously. You just confirmed that you truly don't know the details of everything you have been saying from point 1. And where in the article you posted was it said city signed him for u18??......... because clearly it isn't there. Ps: even u18 isn't and can never be clarified as academy. |

iamoyindamola: Still my point he couldn't get a work permit till he left for Aston Villa and miraculously got one Wait all you listed for odegaard are achievements abi😂, you are creating avenue for me to drag odegaard hmmmm..... omor this matter go long but I'm free today. Are you sure you know how football business works aside from just playing on the pitch part of it?. With what you just said about work permit I won't say anything on that again cus clearly you don't understand anything about securing work permit in England, so I will just agree with you that Pep and city paid 10m just to sign luiz and let him rust even when they clearly needed him, and that Pep and Tite were just willing to waste their energy into pleading and applying couple of times for his permit just for fun. Achievements?, you asked the record he broke and I listed them, breaking records isn't an individual achievement?. Abi be crowned London player of the year is also not an achievement, let's not talk about being consecutive player of the year for Arsenal. Well since none of everything I ever listed can be considered an achievement or record breaking stats, then he should just get the fvck out of our club cus he's useless as a captain. |

iamoyindamola: They calm down I asked what he achieved in epl because aston villa were not in Europe during his time, moreover rice led his team to europa let's remove the trophy, for city I said academy because that where he was dropped before going to loan at girona I didn't even know he didn't play for city, which buttress my point if he was that good work permit can't be the reason for not playing Ofcourse, if odegaard leaves what did he achieve? No trophy, he didn't break any record he helped Aston villa secure their first European football before leaving, that season he was their player of the season too. So yes he achieved something in Epl. He wasn't moved down to city Academy at all, you can check that too. Even Pep lamented about his work permit issue because they were having issues with fernandinho and needed additions and no nothing buttress your point because you clearly don't know how those things work. Records Odegaard have set: only player in the last 3 seasons(since he signed) to have more than 150 key passes, 25 big chances created, 85% pass accuracy, player with the most chances created last season 88, he became the first epl player to complete more than 100 passes(107) in a single match, create at least 5 chance(7) assist multiple goals (2). So yes, Odegaard have broken records. |

iamoyindamola: Rice won something in Europe with West Ham 😂 He didn't just sign for city he was in academy too How many years should we give Felix that's having his second string at Chelsea These are the players you want to bring to arsenal, I swear we go cry pass man united fans🤣🤣 see how quickly you changed the narrative to winning something in Europe. Oya Odegaard, what have he to show as a quality player in Arsenal?. If he leaves tomorrow will you also ask what he achieved in Epl?. And no Douglas Luiz wasn't and isn't a city academy product, he was signed in 2017 and couldn't play any match because of work permit. Last Felix loan spell at Chelsea he was good enough for them to want to keep him back but he said no, and they considered him good enough to go for him again, so yeah, he's good. First you asked what he achieved in city even though he didn't play a single match, secondly you said he's an academy product, which isn't true. That shows you don't even have the right facts about what you want to talk about sir. |

johnjunior39: Chief be honest , in order of priority after last season was defence really the issue ?
Not taking anything away from Calafori because I am a fan too but the fact remain that there were order of priority man. Is a norm. It was clear to all and sundry that there were games attack was found wanting. We knew that Saka needed a deputy but we took that money to buy a defender when we had more clean sheet.
For Merino, course there was need for additional Midfielder but not Merino.
Now we have two aging DM, we don't want to start addressing it now We needed that lb addition bro, I don't know how you guys analyse it, but we really needed that addition. There's nothing wrong in buying a lb, a winger and a midfielder at the same time. The fact that they couldn't get a winger or cf doesn't make the purchase of Calafiori a waste or not necessary. |

iamoyindamola: My point is ebening wanted raya, I didn't hear of see arteta interest in raya until we got As for gundogan, so you will take him ahead of merino🤣🤣🤣 Felix is in epl that's all that matters and he's flopping What did Douglas achieve in epl or big club like city we have been looking at Raya 3 years before we signed him. Merino is still adapting to the league in my own books, so I won't write him off so quick. Felix is a quality player and his talent and shits is still there, unless you dont watch him enough. maybe it's the system and his surroundings that's affecting him(I no dey rush cancer person, lie lie) Asking me what Douglas achieved in Epl is like asking me what Rice have achieved in Epl. Because he played for midget club were trophies ain't a thing his contributions shouldn't be acknowledged?. Talking about man city where he never played a single competitive match shows you really didn't follow his career but just read he signed for man city. |

BlueRayDick: Exactly. I don't know why fans are quick to start lashing out and listing the signings that turned out bad immediately we hit a rough patch. We always forget about the ones that turned out good under the tutelage of the same coach. They even make it seem like it is only this current coach that signed flops meanwhile almost all our previous coaches have their own share of flops signed by them. Wenger wey sign Lucas perez |

iamoyindamola: I think ebening scouted raya Because I remember they were in the championship when we first made contact and that was ebening first season All these players will not improve us Douglas Luiz is a flop at juve Vlahovic is not interested in leaving Italy Gundogan really? Make we turn arsenal to pension club na Felix and Kai in a match what a disaster 😭 Mikano flopped so terrible he found happiness in the gym Your list just proves arteta is not a good scout, no wonder majority of his buys are misfit None are these players are currently excelling except for raya Just one ooo Douglas Luiz, was he a flop while in Epl?. Vlahovic OK, he said he doesn't want to leave ok. Gundogan is much better than Merino they got, and if the pension players bring improvement, yes let it be a pension club. Thiago silver, Maldini, pirlo were still balling at 37. Felix is a baller any day any time twice on a Wednesday, the fact that it ain't working out for him currently doesn't mean he don't have it in him, except you didn't really follow his career. Xhaka was flopping till Arteta came, Sterling, Sane at City credited Arteta with improving their game and making them better, Saka too, Gabriel too. Whether evening scouted Raya or not, Arteta carried the matter for head the season we signed Ramsdale, so yeah he wanted him. |

BlueRayDick: Well, I can't speak for him as regards signing a player that can play across different positions; I believe he will have his reasons for doing that(chief of which I believe will be that that it enables players to step into other positions when the original player in those roles get injured).
However, we shouldn't just discountenance his signings just like that. I remember how almost all the fans wanted Maddison as our AM only for him to sign Odegaard. Some of us even thought it was because of the 50 million fee being requested for him that was why we signed a cheaper Odegaard. Alas, today Odegaard is one of the best midfielders in the league while Maddison struggles to get a starting shirt at Tottenham.
Arteta has his bad sides and faults, but so also does he have the good sides too. We shouldn't just paint all his efforts and decisions as terrible. Haba!
It won't be bad if he signs Cunha or any other winger and still signs a striker too. Let's hope the board sees things the way we do. We questioned Ben white signing too, Ramsdale too, Gabriel too and when he was still raw some of us were quick to say "we said so". |

Ceenachi: Let exclude Martinez out of it... But everyone know Arteta chased Leno, just to bring Rasmdele and sell the Rasmdele again.. (let assume Leno is not good but y can't he do proper scouting before signing Rasmdele) In goal keeper aspect, Arteta failed...
Look at Sterling again, Arsenal didn't need someone like him and y Would Arteta wait till the last minute of transfer window just to bring Sterling D same with other position
Arteta matter really tired me I will never blame the board but Arteta when we signed Ramsdale, he wasn't Arteta first choice but Raya, the management couldn't get Raya so we settled for Ramsdale because he was an improvement to Leno. When they saw an opportunity to get Raya after Ramsdale had cost us so much points, they did. Sterling yes, big fvck up. The only problem I have is not getting a Saka deputy, like a worthy deputy and not getting better cf(I guess kai blue blue magic at the end of last season was giving him hopes and vibes). Now let's talk about players that Arteta really wanted and even pursue and placed to the management but they couldn't do nothing but watch other teams take them away. Douglas Luiz. Vlahovic Gundogan(though barca was his dream club shaa, dream wey no work out) Joan Felix *Mudryk(don't know how he would have turned out, plus the replacement in Trossard have been good). Ps: Arteta himself have said in an Interview that kai signing wasn't his decior recommendation, he said and I quote "It was not my decision, it was our decision", there were people who made the recommendation and he supported it and the presented the idea to the management. Omor, I know say no matter wetin some of us say here about Arteta we will always be labelled not knowing nothing, and Arteta worshippers. so to de do plenty shaleye like this de tire me sef. |

Ceenachi: Bro let b realistic about dis
Arteta brought more than 4-5 keeper when we have Martinez and Leno Those two keepers are not bad but Arteta know y he chased them away
Havertz is a very bad signing, Arsenal doesn't need someone like him Nah only God knows wetin Arteta and Havertz have in common
Gabriel Jesus have spent more than 70 percent through injury Y Zinchenko 60-65 percent cos of injury I'm not saying they're bad signing but..... Martinez wanted to leave, you can't keep someone who wants to leave and his mind made up. Leno was good while it lasted but had to go cus he wasn't improving in other aspect of the game. I think nobody was happy with kai signing but he's an Arsenal player and when he was switched to 9 he finally delivered in some matches. Personally he isn't the ideal striker cus yeah I scream out his name with frustration most times, but I can't change that, can I?. Almost everyone knows the signing of Jesus and Zinny re-energize our team and set the standards we enjoy today, injury or not, you can't take away what they did in their first season. I don't cry about what I can't change bro, and I don't overlook the good just to focus on the bads. We need changes to a lot of things, yes, but we can't always blame the coach each match and leave these players out. Last match was it Arteta that told them to lose 2 goal lead in 8 minutes?. This season only Trossard, Kiwior and jorginho haven missed games through injury which means the whole team set up haven't been the best this season. Let's not derail from the main topic shaa. Just like every manager and team, there are always signings that don't turn up and those that turn up, identifying this and working towards it is what matters. |

AirBere: Lol, why do I feel you understand what he's trying to say but just want him to elaborate more. Well, I actually understand his point though. I think there's some similarities between how both broke out to the first team. Although Kelly is more talented, both started out as midfielders, now both are currently playing as full backs. I think davep sees Kelly as a midfielder and does not what him to play as a fullback just like his counterpart Niles. May be he feels playing Kelly as a full back may hinder him from fulfilling his huge potential. With all that said, Saka, Bale and others also started out as full backs so this isn't linear and only time will tell.
This is what I feel, but davep may have other Ideas. Niles eventually made it to midfield, I even remember him winning man of the match against utd with pogba and their likes playing 90minutes. The later stage of his career in Arsenal was just something I can't explain, I don't think no body did him bad but himself. He couldn't keep up. |
