ESR has regressed badly which is what you are not considering here. His incessant injuries didn't help matter too. The few times he was subbed on this season, he disappointed. Three years ago when he was still hot, this argument wouldn't happen. But since last season that both have been together in that team, with what they have both shown, Vieira will always get the nod.

ESR is a final third specialist who will get you goals. He is not someone that would drop deep and help with buildup. His positioning and late runs into the box is quote alright but in situations where we need numbers in midfield to beat the press, he is limited. Where do you think he should play then?
