Tax in Germany is 45%, it is easier to become a millionaire where you are than any Western or A list country because of taxes. People I know in Germany since 2020 haven't saved up to €100k and they are in tech.

Why don't you create a Poll or ask people in Travel section who live in these countries for years if they experience the same thing. I mean hear from horses mouth directly.
On what level of income is that applied? Another thing our people need to understand is that to earn extremely high salaries in some countries especially those that historically did not experience black migrantion is the purported glass ceiling. Management positions in most if not almost every non-Anglophone country are kept for the natives. So, anyone who wants to attain wealth in a country like Germany, Norway, or Korea should be entrepreneurial.

Nigerian men will marry Nigerian women. So, I don't understand the fight both genders keep involving themselves in. On Twitter, South Africans already know Nigerians by their ethnicities and what they indulge in.

Maybe I'm wrong on this but I see that you're using one country as a reference to "abroad" & the country itself is not fully Western. Your comparison of experience of women in South America is night & day compared to places like Canada or other Western countries. It's like comparing Brazilian women to women in other parts of the world who are less beautiful than them by a mile, It is not a true comparison. Also, most Nigerians don't usually Japa to South America so their experience of women will be completely different from yours. Nigerians moving to Germany or UK/Canada where black African men are not in demand, they won't experience this at all. Only 1% of Nigerian men who Japa can relate to your experience.
I have to agree with you. His issue is that the Nigerian men in Chile spoilt his mind with the narrative that black men are not desirable. However, they did not put in the work as he did. One of such men cannot speak Spanish and even complains that every woman speaks Spanish (the official language is Spanish o). However, Tensa speaks Spanish and I must confess is bold enough to approach random women (this isn't culturally permissible everywhere).

However, his narration cannot be applied to every part of the world. At best, he can adapt to the system. As we've discussed, most Nigerian men who relocated recently did so as married men with children, have loans to offset, have building projects in Nigeria, are over 30, yet to get a good/stable job, have families to cater for back home etc. So, his profile is markedly different. Also, the country too is different in that there are few black people. So any well-dressed, well-spoken (Spanish) and economically stable black man would be attractive. While Chile is a Spanish-speaking country, I bet the narrative would be different in Spain because they have interacted more with black men than their Chilean counterparts.

Texas Nigerian women will make your wife feel like you guys are not doing fine.
Meanwhile Texas is not a flamboyantly Rich state in America, yet we no go hear word. Most marriage related deaths occur in Texas.
Atlanta is doing tutorials in the hands of Texas.. Even Pastors have barred some of these women from Holy communion. It's easier to sleep with women of every category in the United States as a Jobless man and get paid than sleep with same women in Nigeria as an employed man.
Texas and Georgia are some of the states with a high black population, especially Nigerian. So, it is not out-of-place. Besides, people need some sense of community in a distant country.

It's in the US, you will see a woman completely divorce her husband to end up a sidechic to another married man for years.
It happens in Nigeria and everywhere else.

P.S. Texas is one of America's richest states. Home of the oil industry isn't flamboyant? shocked huh

If you didn't meet her as a virgin, there's 98% chances that she's a mother to one of the aforementioned categories.

True. I know a number of them. You can never know the real character of your wife until after she relocates with you overseas. Many of them copy the western ladies who don't even have a culture, those who have children like dogs for several men. They always don't enjoy a happy home.

No single mum I met ever told me they're living happily as single mums. There's one of them, whose children always say they miss their dad and they'd like to see him. She always got angry hearing this. One day she agreed to take them to a meeting point with her ex. On getting to that place, she kept a distance and asked the children to go see their dad briefly and come back. She actually timed the meeting. When the time was almost up, she faced the wall and started crying uncontrollably cos of the bond between the children and their dad. They were gisting, cracking jokes and laughing aloud. Instead of 2 hours, these children spent 5 good hours with their dad. They didn't feel like leaving.

I told her to reconcile and seek a reunion but she's still doing shakara. She's a very successful nurse in a major hospital on 3rd avenue in NY. I won't mention the hospital. Whoever knows that place would know the hospital I'm talking about, built with red bricks with many floors. The man had moved on. As an aeronautical engineer, he's not doing badly too at Boeing. He got that job 1 year after the woman chased him out and took custody of the children. Amazingly, he's still single. I guess he's taking his time cos of the horrible experience
Interesting experience here. Thomas Sowell was right after all. The two-parent household remained strong even during the Jim Crow era but was destroyed after government feeding bottle policies.

At the bold, there is no benefit whatsoever marrying again after he had children with the woman, and the children loved him. I pray for sound health so I observe the aftermath of these lovey-dovey policies embraced by Ndi liberals. They want to fight against nature and evolutionary biology? grin Good luck!

PoliticsRe: Why Are Nigerians In Diaspora More Tribalist Than Nigerians At Home? by Gerrard59(m):
Gerrard59:
To add to what Ednut stated, another theory could be that after they experienced racism from the dominant group in where they live, they become angry and annoyed that they pour it on ethnic rivals in their home countries as a means of fighting back that internalised anger. Some of these people are Nairalanders who espouse rabid tribalism, but cry out everyday of the need to fight the white man.
This tweet by the rabid tribalist called Japheth Omojuwa encapsulates this theory: https://twitter.com/Omojuwa/status/1836430679145619692

So Japheth after campaigning and voting for Buhari in 2015 and 2019 including Tinubu in 2023 japa'd to the UK where he is being treated as a common black man is suddenly pained. Meanwhile, this was the same person who called Jonathan a goat, campaigned for NOI to be retrieved off her academic honours by Yale University for no-just reason and criticised other ethnic groups at will.

It makes me delighted though. Monkeys who cannot contribute positively to nation-building and perpetuate tribal bigotry are being reminded of their skin colour when they move outside. A major reason I want Donald Trump to win: let the racism be splashed unto every black man's face.

This leads me to the next theory: the Nigerians who complain the most about racism are most likely the most tribalistic set of people you will ever come across. The same applies to black people in general: a high rate of racist complaints = higher chance of discriminating against other black people based on nationality and cultural affinity.

In summary, humans are tribal beings, just as every other animal.

Thank you very much for the first advice! It really shed more light. I'm just gonna focus on my education and side hustle untill level four before considering relationship. Just like you said, I would meet better women there, wether Muslims or christains.
Yes, that is the truth. No point to rush as you might regret it when your status has improved and you have developed yourself well enough to attract good looking people towards you. Just develop new sources of income and stay healthy. Na you go run from advances.

I believe the salary structure in the north is not much different from that in the south even for multinational companies or banks talkmore of the civil service where we have high rate of ghostworkers and corruption. And since the cost of living is relatively lower in the north while salary remain thesame, Muslim men can still afford to get married again, and build or rent another house for the new wife
Oh! I see.

No the concept of virginity does not apply in large number to the northern Christian ladies. They're as liberal as the ladies down south ( We have the good, the bad and the ugly grin)
Interesting to note.

Right now, I can say that Kano and jigawa state which is next door are about the most secured states in the north. I don't think I have heard any case of kidnapping or banditry here since it started in buhari's regime wether in the cities and or villages. The last time a bomb blast occured was during GEJ regime. And it was just once or twice. Southerners live and go about thier businesses peacefully in sabon gari. All the banks here have 80 percent of thier staff as southerners. More southerners are still trooping to Kano everyday and areas like Nomansland and Jabba are rapidly being developed to accomodate them. These areas are even more beautiful and cleaner than sabongari which is already overpopulated.
While a one bedroom apartment in sabon gari might cost between 300k to 450k depending on if it's a new or old house and facilitities present. All houses in Jabba are relatively new and way more expensive( not more than ten years as the whole place was literally a bush during the first tenure of GEJ. Land at Jabba that time were dirty cheap and alot of Ibo men saw the prospects of the place and they have more than triple thier wealth today). You'll even see one room self-contained been given out at 350k.
Jabba also enjoy stable electricity and good roads than sabongari. Sabon gari and Jabba are not far from each other at all. The moment you leave sabongari, you will enter Jabba.
Interesting, and good to know.

Thanks for the info.

You have said a lot without saying anything really as to what needs to be done to correct the perceived marginalisation of the south-east. And thats how i decode who is who here. All you want is the "peace"! The peace of the grave yard. Everyone should just stop protesting because protests will harm the protesters, abi? According to your types, everyone should stop talking because talking will only harm the talker and not the government. Everyone should stop complaining because it of no use, bla bla bla.. Basically they all "should go to court". So what needs to be done? How do you confront a rampaging federal government? How do you force them to treat the former Eastern Nigeria equally? No idea? Just criticising other peoples ideas? You will go "talk to your representatives at the National Assembly to bring up a bill" bla bla bla, right? You gat jokes, bro
While I agree with you about marginalisation, sit-at-home wasn't the best way out of it as it has been hijacked. Has it not? MNK approach was much better, ditto ESN protecting people's lands. But the rhetoric and policies by Ekpa and his cohorts have not done any good to our people and region.

The truth is: the average Nigerian is a tribalist regardless of education or exposure. Take it like that.
RomanceRe: The Difference Between South African Girls And Nigerian Girls - SA Lady (Video) by Gerrard59(m): 2:51am On Sep 18, 2024
Nigerian men, especially Igbo men, caused it. The belief that every woman can be bought. Isn't this the same reason women in other African countries prefer Nigerian men? Because they can spend? I have met a Gabonese lady who says she likes Igbo men because they can spend a lot on a woman. I told her my Igboness doesn't reach that level. So, blame Nigerian men who go about spending hard currency on every woman they come across yet complain that women love money too much. The other day, a Liberian lady posted herself and her boyfriend on TikTok, young Nigerian men mocked the man and urged the lady to move to Lagos for a better life. It is the reason they lament online when they move to much wealthier countries where women earn the same as men. You want to use money to buy the heart of a Swiss or Norwegian lady? Even African American sef, we cannot compete financially (this excludes second generation Nigerians).

Nigerian men deserve the women they created. Live with it!
RomanceRe: The Reason Many Young Men Are Afraid Of Getting Married... by Gerrard59(m): 2:43am On Sep 18, 2024
Solcampbell:
Not generally, the northern Muslim women that had a University education would definitely be looking forward to get an employment after graduation. But such type of ladies that completed tertiary education are not very common in my area unless I meet them on social media. And you know the employment situation in the country is very terrible. Hence you would find most of them getting married and settling down as housewives despite their qualifications since they now have a partner financially stable enough to carter for their needs.
This is what you should do: suspend any relationship plans for now and get started in medical school. As a matured student, you don't have time to waste on non-essential things. While in school, especially the first three years, improve your medical education and sources of sustenance. Afterwards, you can begin your search for a wife, and you will find loads of them since you are in an academic environment. In fact, you will be spoilt for choices since you are on the path of being a medical doctor. No rush these things. Once a man is financially stable,
na dem dey rush am.

Your financial stability as a man is very important. That is what you should focus on.

Infact a northern Muslim who passed through university and can communicate properly in English some times gets an advantage of attracting a better suitor than the lady who is not educated. Except if the one who didn't go to school is more beautiful. A typical northern man who marries an educated young lady as his first or second or third wife, would be proud to show her off to his family and even mention her level of education to his friends outside. If the man is well connected or rich enough, he could use his influence to secure a job for her in a federal or state agency within the state. Almost all my former female course mates during my first degree are now married to financially stable men and they are all first wives. Some are working while others are housewives on the instructions of thier husband who provides everything for them. They all got married within a year or two after graduation
Interesting to note. Not surprised as I have stated elsewhere on Nairaland that the region's culture and religion influences the way of life.

Boss, here in the north ( Kano) it's quite hard to find a northern Muslim woman who's almost thirty and not yet married, except she's been married before but now a divorcee. Some divorcees gets married again while others...
More interesting. As I have stated above and previously, target the Christians when in school. I am sure Christians attend Bayero and ABU (you probably got into one).

Generally, northern/Islamic marriages are very simple. Even in this economy, you can still prepare your wedding with a sum of 200k to 500k including bride price. The ladies just want to get married and thier parents can't wait to give them out to you so long they see you as a responsible person. Infact in many cases, the bride's parents would even sponsor the wedding altogether.
You see this revelation? It is the reason whenever people on social media lament about "Nigerian women", I beg to disagree because I know Northern Nigeria is very different. So, the online claim that Nigerian women are this and that does not hold to me.

And accommodation in the inner cities is very cheap, if you are unable to build your own house, you could get a house of three rooms, kitchen and bathroom and a shop for around 100k to 150k, good and neat houses just for you and your wife and the children you will born. Even if they put them up for sale, it wouldn't cost more than 2m to 3m.
While the cost of living is low, salaries are lower compared to the south. Am I wrong? Generally, the cost of living is lower in the north and I once envisaged living in the north, especially in Christian communities, but the insecurity situation under Buhari especially related to agribusiness was so terrible. If not for the insecurity and intolerance, many people from the south would love to reside there instead of living in certain Francophone countries. Not many people can survive in the hypercompetitive south, so the north would have been a much better option for them.

They'll never rent or sell such houses to a single guy because they don't trust him not to secretly bring women into the house for fornication. Some will even think you will spoil the small girls in the neighborhood. Needless to say, northern Muslim women marry with thier virginity still intact, except for the divorcees.
Again, men create the society, while women integrate into it. I stated the same here: https://www.nairaland.com/7684230/how-reduce-hook-ups-nigeria#123051795
Does the concept of virginity apply in large numbers to Northern Christian women?

Even though you offer to pay them 10m, they
will never rent or sell the house to you. Unless you would sign an agreement that you wouldn't be staying there until you finally get
married. And that's why I'm still living in my parents house at almost thirty years. You would hardly see even a single room for rent here.
Interesting to note. Seems Islam is not really compatible with capitalism unless there exists a clear divide between the Muslim natives and non-Muslims (Malaysia and the UAE are good examples).

Unless I want to go get accommodation in the
GRA or more liberal areas ( the places where southerners live in Kano). Houses there are as expensive as the type down south and the cost of food and goods are as expensive. And I can't afford that kind of life for now.
Understood. I am curious, a typical one-bedroom apartment with access to a good supply of electricity and water in Sabon-gari costs how much as rent for a year?

And yes, northern men still dey build houses and marry multiple wives in this economy.
Dem dey try sha. Well, their dominance in agribusiness provides enough funds especially as the cost of living is low. Why they don't harness this to ensure improved security in the region surprises me.

His people are not complaining, stop crying more than the "bereaved".
LOL! So, I as an Igbo man who sees his region being decimated by thugs led by another thug in faraway Finland now cry more than the bereaved? So complaining that the antics of a man whose words/directives cause harm to Igbo's interests (called for sit-at-home during the elections) now makes me a crier than the bereaved? A man who isn't tactical in relating with ethnic minorities abut to Igbos/Southeast does it better, right?

This was how I objected to approving sit-at-home when it was first announced. I was in a commercial vehicle heading home from Imo. Myself and one other lad were the ones who said that a sit-at-home would do more harm to the Southeast interests than good. We complained that once implemented, it cannot be cancelled because people will take advantage of it. I lamented that such a policy would affect businesses and livelihoods. The other lad vowed to leave the region for Lagos or Port-Harcourt if implemented. We warned o! But the rest of the passengers and driver were elated for a sit-at-home.

Look at Imo today? A budding Somalia. Fortunately for Imo, and unlike Somalia, it has beautiful women. Else, nothing good comes out from there. Posterity will judge me, not bereavement, that I warned against it.

But hey, I won't cry more than the beavered.

He is a man fighting for his people being marginalised for eons. He has every right to lambast those he perceive to be the source of these injustices.

First, every Nigerian is a tribalist, especially those from mono-ethnic homes who lived in their dominant territories for many years till adulthood. Two, Ekpa is a profound and unintelligent illiterate. So the aspect of fighting for his people is baseless as his fights have caused more harm and havoc than good to the same people.

But na the financial angle I dey consider since I'm expected to be the one providing for the home and also sponsoring my education
Sorry, but I will like to know more about the region's women from both religions.
What about if they don't get married? As the economy is toff, are Muslim men still engaging in polygamy - marrying more wives - as usual? At the bold, younger Muslim women just wait for marriage without actively working, but their older counterparts are already working?

You mentioned "Muslim women not allowed to work". Who prevents them from working, their parents or their husbands?

Northern Christian ladies could be found engaged in any kind of jobs that their counterparts in the south do, wether skilled, semi skilled or unskilled. All I want is a industrious and loyal lady. Some one who is understanding and could support this dream. Afterall, one the major reason why I'm going back to school to study MBBS is to secure a brighter future for my family that would come from me.
Then the best option is to marry a Northern Nigerian Christian lady, especially as you're a "liberal Muslim".

You must ask her explicitly what you want and if she agrees, you spend. If she declines, you try another. The lady has the right to choose. It's good their money was returned and I strongly implore ladies to always decline monetary gifts from random men who don't make their intentions explicit from the beginning.

Holding a Nigeria passport now, identifies you as a citizen of a lawless, fraudulent and corrupt country.

My dad was flying from NYC to Lagos last week, with a stopover in Morocco. At the airport his hand luggage was flagged for being over the recommended limit. He didn’t make a fuss and went on to reduce it. The lady at the desk said the allowance was 6kg but Dad’s luggage was 9.5kg. Whilst she held on to his Nigerian passport, my dad proceeded to taking more stuff out of his suitcase. Meanwhile, the next desk had another passenger, a US citizen, who was flying on the same flight as him. Dad noticed the guy’s luggage weighed 11.5kg and the lady was ok with it. He got mad and flagged it up, they couldn’t justify why the other guy was allowed. Being a very blunt man, he asked the lady if it had anything to do with his Nigerian passport and the color of his skin? She felt embarrassed and did not reply him. My Dad then brought out his own US passport (although she never asked him if he had another nationality) and told the lady at the counter she deserves to be fired. He then proceeded to put back all the stuff he took out of his suitcase in the first place, making it 9.5kg and told the lady if she won’t tag his suitcase he would “deal with her”🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️(I don’t support any form of violence). She tagged it and allowed him to proceed to the rt.
The first mistake was having anything to do with landing in Morocco (aside from a standard business program/conference/reason). I don't see why our people, most especially our women, spend their time and money in that country.

At the bold, DrChife on Twitter narrated a similar experience where he was delayed as he brought out his Nigerian passport only to be quickened down the queue when he flashed the American passport. His happened in a black African country. So, I am not surprised Morocco will do the same or even worse. As narrated on Twitter by our women, Moroccans left the swimming pool when they (Nigerian women) got in. Wetin dey Morocco if not sand and dust? The same sand and dust dey Namibia and Bauchi.

Third, the fall of the Nigerian passport ranking isn't necessarily the fault of the Nigerian government but Nigerians. Burkina Faso has visa free access to Singapore, but Nigeria does not. Look at this map: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_policy_of_Singapore#Visa_policy_map
We and Mauritania are the only countries without visa free access to Singapore. Why? Our people trafficked drugs to Singapore in a spate of events and the SG govt retaliated by killing all the traffickers (a law in the country) and removing visa free access.

Is that the fault of any federal or state administration in Nigeria? N to the O.
