RomanceRe: The Fear Of Being Used And Discarded Is The Reason Why Some Women Demand Money by Gerrard59(m): 12:38am On Sep 05, 2024
Pque:
Why should a lady demand money for sex (knowing fully well that it's even the lady that enjoy and love the sex more)? If you can't cope with the sex demand, simply reject the offer, instead of demanding for money.
Women don't enjoy sex with random males as much as men do. Women are demisexual.

Any Nigerian girl that is demanding money for sex is already categorized as a sex worker, because she is ready to sleep with other 1million men for money. There are many other ways to obtain the sincerity of a man, other than demanding money from him.
What sincerity when they are called "easy fish" and olosho because they are sexually liberal? For instance, where I live, young women dress in very short dresses (skirts and shorts). If na Nigeria dem dey, they will be called ashawo. But no one describes them as such here.

Are Nigerian girl (especially Lagos girls) even the only girls in the world, don't you see your counterparts in other countries. Working class Nigerian girls don't seems to exhibit this bad habit, but the lazy ones with passive minds.
Their counterparts in other countries don't experience the same moral backlash from their men as they experience from Nigerian men. It's even hypocritical because we've Nigerian men lampooning South African and African American women for being too sexual liberal. But are surprised that Nigerian women aren't, yet the same Nigerian men wish their women were sexually liberal. I recall a tweet where our men in London mentioned that our women don't like visiting pubs and clubs to unwind. One man countered the suggestion that should these women visit those places, they will be termed as ashawo even when they came to have a good time as well. BTW, working class women also behave the same way. In fact, they put up the biggest barrier towards casual sex - a form of sex the average Nigerian man likes.

And they intentionally seduce the man to rob him of his hard earned money. Better change or else that your yansh go burn for inside fire.
How is it robbery? You people misuse words every time. Were you pointed a gun to your head?

The selfishness stinks ...
People should pay first (are you a commodity?)
And even after they pay , you turn them to ATM...wertin your papa and brothers combined no fit give you since Dem born you , you go wan collect all from the same innocent guy within a short timeframe.

We need to tell ourselves the truth ....don't collect or ask for money if you don't want to be used as a commodity- instead model best practices and persevere while thinking self reliance for no one owes you nothing in this world .

The problem many have (especially in Nigeria) is trying to be clever by half and wanting to eat their cake and still having it . Tok much sense don Kee many females and shemales ...Dem don turn single till 49
Only to be called an easy lay or olosho? E better to be called those names and have 50K rather than being called the same names with nothing. If Nigerian men don't want their women to charge exorbitantly for sex, they have to lessen the moral backlash towards sexually liberal women. Nigerian men go overseas and discover the women there don't charge for sex because they of societal views towards it. They (Nigerian men) are delighted and praise those women. Then act surprised that Nigerian women would charge for the same sexual experience.

It’s also people like you that will say men enjoy sex more than women, forgetting the many nerve endings in the VJ .. Now with this your stupid write up,what moral lesson can the Gen Z reading learn from it?
Men actually enjoy sex more than women as the latter are demisexual. It's men who seek sex way more than women. Women, on their own, can remain celibate for years and feel okay. Many men cannot.

RomanceRe: The Fear Of Being Used And Discarded Is The Reason Why Some Women Demand Money by Gerrard59(m): 12:14am On Sep 05, 2024
OP is largely correct.

The attitudinal views towards sex in Nigeria contributes to women charging for sex even when they need or like it. Compared to countries in Southern Africa where there is more liberal view of sex, the situation is different. You cannot be prudish towards sex yet act surprised that the biggest victim of that prudishness charge for sex in a bid to reduce the moral backlash.

If you want women to be sexually open, you have got to reduce the slurs they receive because of that openness.

Stop wailing. Subsidy removal is a failed policy

Saudi Aramco subsidises fuel massively for Saudis and their refineries are not ruined.

Prophet of doom
Nigeria is way over populated than Saudi Arabia. Subsidies don't work in populous countries. Also, Saudi Arabia is fiscally wealthier and stable than Nigeria. As it's, subsidy is still being paid, yet petrol is scarce and prices have been increased.

What difference at the end of the day?
PoliticsRe: FEC Will Determine Price Of Our Petrol, Says Dangote by Gerrard59(m): 7:54pm On Sep 04, 2024
This is the reason oil majors didn't invest in refineries in Nigeria: government interference. It's also another reason certain sectors should be avoided by foreign investors and even Nigerian investors who toiled for their capital.

Dangote and the federal government colluded, let no one be deceived. Subsidy exists and Dangote is a monopolist.

BALLOSKI:
If we can even monopolize the west African market, it'd be a big leap.

Our banks don't give loan to manufacturers at a competitive interest rate, so they struggle. Our government is not stable with policy and currency instability is killing production and power is another issue. Our half-baked economists should quit telling us that government "has no business in business", Nigeria is the only place such stupid message is preached. Government must always make incentives available for manufacturing to take off so that manufacturers can compete.

I won't forgive the SAP of IBB. We listen to these neo-liberal economists too much.
Mr IbeOkehie begs to disagree.

But the SAP freed up the economy for private participants to compete and have the government at the back seat. The Nigerian government, at all levels, isn't competent enough to manage corporations. Mr BALLOSKI, I'm genuinely curious, do you know any Nigerian government owned corporation that has been competently managed for profitable purposes?

The highest paying jobs/sectors that always have jobs in nigeria based on my recent activities in job boards are: Software Development
Accounting
Human Resource Management Only accounting sometimes request for professional qualification, not masters. They all prioritize years of experience over a masters or a first degree in the case of Software Development. I personally consider a masters useless. cheesy The only time you should get it for a job is if it is required in the job or career to advance.
Every industry likes experienced folks including those that explicitly require academic masters in addition with a bachelor degree (architecture is an example). Experience is loved everywhere and by everyone.

That said, how come HRM is a lucrative role in Nigeria? HR is a cost centre and cost centres aren't lucrative. Even executive recruitment firms don't have HRMs as their highest paid staff. As for certification, CIPM is the relevant certification then SHRM. I'm just surprised how HRM is a highly paid role. How about engineering (software excluded)?

I'm only trying to say someone with a master's degree has an edge over an ordinary B.sc. Where I work will hardly consider someone with just an ordinary degree and I know some other places like that as well.
Agreed. I acknowledged it. There are companies like that. But it's preferable for someone without work experience to get one rather than just piling up academic degrees without in-field experience. Anyone can get a master's degree, but not everyone has obtained quality and cognate work experience.

I did mine immediately after service. God knows I've tried my best let my future husband do the rest. Aside certification and others I'm not going to school again.

Since you are a man please go for your masters and even further sef. Bsc is not enough for a man
Sometimes, some of your posts get as e be. So tell the house, what sort of master's does a tech bro need when he has the relevant certifications in his field of software development? What master's does a BSc holder with ICAN/ACCA, CFA charter and maybe CAIA need again? Unless the industry explicitly prefers academic master's (architecture is an example), it's not so important for someone who has no work experience. The fact that you say a BSc isn't enough for a man, whereas this topic has nothing to do with gender, without factoring relevant certifications is worrisome.
EducationRe: Holders Of Masters Degree Pls Advise Me!!! by Gerrard59(m): 11:41am On Sep 04, 2024
EreluRoz:
It does, don't mislead him please.
That's not true, please. I saw your recent reply about some places who will not accept just an MSc, which is partly true. However, someone with a cognate work experience especially at some firms will be accepted before the person with just both MSc and BSc. Work experience is highly prized compared to academic degrees outside of academia. Without a work experience, preferably quality and cognate, a master's degree is a waste of time. Time that should have been invested in relevant certifications (field dependent) and acquiring work experience even at relatively unpopular establishments.

Holders of masters degree! What advice do you have for a BSC holder? Should he further? Wouldn't it be a waste of time and resources with the current situation of the country? Your inputs will be so much appreciated .God bless you all
Except it's to augment a lower grade, obtain fast promotion or for personal prestige purposes, only embark on a master's degree when you have amassed at least three years of experience after your first degree. A master's degree without work experience (post NYSC) is no different from a bachelor degree without an experience. In fact, the latter will get more calls from recruiters and companies because they are likely to be command lower salaries and are fresh out of tertiary institutions. At the same time, those with work experiences command higher salaries than those with just academic degrees and/or less years of work experience. Also, depending on your field, relevant certifications are better off than an academic degree.

Nevertheless, nothing beats work experience!

No woman will do all of it, not willingly. The bolded is basically what lots of Nigerian men want even a lot of male posters on this thread. The earlier they get the reality the better. It's only the woman contributing financially they are after, what else do some men bring apart from money

I personally don't blame women who tow the you are the provider line. Lots of men have shown over time that the only thing they bringto a marriage is money. Money that the woman is making abi.

Then let the gender roles take its course but the men will still wail about that. As for the OP I wish him the best in whatever he decides, but divorce or marrying a new person is not his solution.
I agree that women especially modern day women will not succumb to being the financial provider and offering sex at the same time plus house chores/childcare. So, I'm genuinely curious, apart from money, what do you think should a man offer? After all, women are making the same money as men do.

Why don't you have a girlfriend though?
- Language differences
- Reside in the dormitory where females aren't allowed. It's the reason most Japanese males use "love hotels" to spend time with their partners before they get a private apartment.
- Research work. I have to be in the laboratory Monday to Saturdays. A Sri Lankan I met at one of my scholarship ceremonies goes to her laboratory EVERYDAY. The same for the Nigerian ladies in my school. Na only Sunday dem get as free day.
- Not too much of a strong reason, but I will include it: I love black women's vagina and breasts, but our women want commitment before sex. As I dey, I don't have commitment to offer any woman.

Most women are like that sexually especially after having children. They start having excuses for sex and almost want to dictate when to do it unlike when you both were dating that she's always ready. As a man too it happens when you're having a lot of challenges during which you don't even remember sex and if your wife is the high libido type she might think you've started cheating cause your libido previously matched hers. The best thing is to discuss it with her and arrive at something . The money issue os different
From the responses from most male commentators, it seems the bold is prevalent. So, why are the women against the concept of side chics?

Dear Nigerian men, if you are not rich and very financially successful when you are about to marry, please be a gold digger; go for ladies that can help you financially, there are plenty of them in Nigeria and abroad. Make use of the internet social media for good, there are plenty financially buoyant single ladies in Nigeria and abroad looking for a serious man to settle down with.
Honest question, are our women in the abroad (UK, US and Canada) really willing to marry hard working but somewhat unlucky men in Nigeria and take them to the abroad? My secondary school classmate married an Igbo lady in the US (he too is Igbo), but he was a successful software engineer in Nigeria before then. So, I'm really curious if the possibility is present if the man isn't doing too well in Nigeria.

AgricultureRe: Robbers Steal Cocoa Beans As Cocoa Prices Balloon - Bloomberg by Gerrard59(op): 8:30pm On Sep 03, 2024
Corrections:
I learnt that even Brazilian and Peruvian cocoa accounts for about 10% or there about of total of what Ghana 🇬🇭 and Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 produce in a year. So from studies their supply may not any where near meeting up with international demand market.
I believe this as the gap between those neighbours and the rest of the cocoa producers is so wide. It's why both nations have pricing boards because they dominate production. However, I have faith in Brazil leapfrogging Ecuador, Nigeria Cameroon in about ten years maximum. Brazil did the same thing with soybean to the extent it surpassed the US as the biggest exporter to China and soon to be the biggest producer globally. The trade war between both superpowers also contributed sha. Nevertheless, Brazil is a huge country with a strong, vibrant and knowledgeable agribusiness community. I admire and envy the country.

I meant Ecuador not Peru*
https://www.visualcapitalist.com/worlds-top-cocoa-producing-countries/

Adverse effect of hot weather is also lowering the production and I believe much as not changed this year even in west Africa. At the same time, we also have the rising cost of pesticides and fertilizers, making it difficult for farmers to afford in these countries to maintain a healthy crop. And that also leads to pests.
That's even the reason Brazil will surpass Ecuador and Nigeria so easily. They weren't into cocoa until the price soared. It is a major agricultural power in the world with strong connections to obtain fertiliser and pesticides. Also, they produce them as well.

We've to cultivate cocoa in large quantities to maintain the lead and it's even worrisome that Cameroon surpasses us in production whereas we ought to hit half a million tonnes. We've the landmass and labour. I don't see why Indonesia should produce more than we do sef. I say this because should Brazil surpass us in cocoa production, that's the end. Ivoriens and Ghanaians should be afraid of what's to come.

Another point is that there may be Lower production from Ghana and Ivory Coast this 2024 because a lot of the cocoa beans had been pre-sold to consumers or cocoa and chocolate manufacturers around the world just like the way Buhari pre-sold 🇳🇬 petrol to its customers such that they pay 5year ahead. This could mean that those other cocoa consumers manufacturers who are unable to to seal a deal of pre selling cocoa with 🇬🇭Ghana and Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 will have to rely heavily on other cocoa suppliers that are two small to meet up with demands.
The results of fiscal mismanagement and socialist policies I mentioned earlier. Oil is Nigeria as cocoa is to them, the reason they mismanaged theirs and enacted socialist policies. And yes, many trading companies and chocolate companies had to change to Nigeria and Cameroon because of that decision. One major chocolate company invested massively in Ecuador as a result. We've not had similar investment in Nigeria from a multinational. Now, even Olam wants to sell off a part of its investment to Saudis. As it's, it behoves on us to invest massively in cocoa cultivation for the long term, else e go become like palm oil which we import from Malaysia and Indonesia (this thing annoys me deeply).
