omoredia:Tolaram for its success isn't a low quality investor, please. Let's fear God. |
Gerrard59:Earlier today, I read in the Financial Times how Ecuador has scrapped visa free status for Chinese because they use the country as a stopover for their migration to the US. In Canada, they are lamenting of the influx of Indians. So, there you have it. So before you think Nigerians are emigrating from the country in droves, others do it X10. |
Lordbinsmar:There are many Nigerians who are settled for life in the US and are not interested of moving to Nigeria. The existing black population helps them "feel" at home. Also, the US is an immigrant nation. Obviously, Europe would be different, bar the UK. P.S. The belief that every Nigerian or the majority of Nigerians especially in Anglophone countries are gatemen or cleaners is entirely false. There are many high-earning first-generation Nigerians who live very comfortable lives outside the country. Let go of that mindset. Besides, if not for abroadians, the real estate industry in Nigeria would be starved of funds. Ask your realtors who constitute the major patrons of their products. |
Hannania:I am curious, these female bankers who emigrated to the UK, at least the ones you know, did they emigrate as married women or spinsters? Also, were they permanent or contract staff? |
Iamblessed85:Then, he did not do well. Well, his travails and those of other men should serve as lessons to young bachelors. In anything you want to do, ask yourself how it would benefit you as a MAN, before thinking about it as a father and husband. That is how I live my life - I consider myself FIRST in everything. The belief is that if it benefits me, anyone with me would benefit as well. But my benefit is paramount. cc: wonder233 made good points as well. |
Basicend:LOL! Even The Economist, a prominent Western news media, has conceded that China is now the new science superpower. The founder of this company, just like AMD and TSMC are ethnic Chinese. No difference from their Mainland cousins. |
GloriousGbola: ![]() I don't do OF as online isn't the real thing. I have my way of sourcing and procuring. In fact, going through IG or TikTok is going to be too expensive due to the number of Hot men. I would have loved to go deeper, but this is a public forum. |
folake4u:I love boobs. Honestly, I really do. I am willing to spend any amount of money, provided I can comfortably afford it, just to have those nipples in my mouth. I love breasts. In breasts I thrust! ![]() |
masui:https://www.instagram.com/officiacici/ That lady is going to make a sh!tload of money between now and the end of this month. Her friend is DJDimplenipple. If you saw the way our men were jumping in the comment section just to have her handle? When I say men perpetuate this industry, Nairalanders go complain. cc: cjudy |
cjudy:I just checked Twitter, that woman is not married o. ![]() |
She has good boobs. My kind of boobs. Now, I see why RaptoX said the major reason most Nigerian men abroad visit Nigeria is because of coitus. ![]() |
cjudy:The moment you bring your business online, it becomes everyone's business. You don't want others to have a say in your business? Don't bring it to the public sphere. Who asked her to rant about tomatoes? |
Ravenna:They actually look good. ![]() |
tosinhtml:Especially in Nigeria where childcare costs don't exist unlike say the UK. The first statement is also another point. Wetin she dey use her money do? |
ruffhandu:Yet to see the benefits. Look at the expenses. What do you use your money for yourself? P.S. That is the first mistake. Plenty children. Good luck to those involved. |
RhinoChest:LIES! Portable is a Muslim. Two, Portable does not have the typical Igbo phenotype. Portable is Yoruba. Be proud of him. |
tensazangetsu20:Then, it is recent. The Canada frenzy kicked off a year or two during Buhari's first term. |
Iamblessed85:I find that extremely surprising. Except he was sacked, was not a permanent staff or was brutally attacked either by assassins or village people. Why would an IOC permanent staff relocate to the UK sef (since you mentioned care worker)? |
Interesting read. Let's look at each deeply. Iamblessed85:Agreed. We are on the same page here. Modern women wanted rights, which they got, so they deserved to pair with so-called modern men. Men should focus on themselves FIRST and wholeheartedly before any woman. Woe betides a man who strives to offer the best in life to a social media justice warrior woman. Good luck to those men. I became troubled in my spirit when i began to look into the current emigration wave. Nigeria has never been rosy. If you go back to comments right from the inception of nairaland, you would see thesame expressions of frustration with the state of things, so what changed? I theorize as follows:While it is true that Nigeria has never been rosy, Nigeria's economy got more worse when the majority of Nigerians campaigned and voted for Buhari in 2015. The data is there. Buhari was, has always been, and would always be incompetent. Unemployment rates soared while insecurity challenges, especially the kidnapping and brutal slaughtering of farmers, Christian worshippers in the north and travellers, ballooned. This led to a miniature refugee crisis of Nigerians in Nigeria. 1. It’s partly fueled by a massive propaganda machine by the west. It’s highly suspect that the country has suddenly become unbearable at thesame time these western countries are experiencing shortages in workforce, increasing ageing population etc. What a convenient coincidence. It’s well known that the west uses propaganda via media as a means to achieve their selfishness.Sure. This theory looks tenable. David Hundeyin has mooted the same. But you cannot fully blame the West, as they cannot work alone without state actors, who I will describe as Nigerian elites across all levels. While other elites ensure their countries work for them (so they live within their homelands), ours pilfer state resources and park them abroad. Abi na the West tell Yahaya Bello to pay almost a million dollars as tuition fees at the American International School Abuja? On the other hand, I do agree with you that the West has marketed itself so well to citizens in the developing world, especially poorer ones. 2. This is closely related to point 1. The massive demarketing of the country by sponsored agents is a ploy to lure highly skilled workers to take on blue collar jobs abroad. Imagine how prosperous Nigeria would be if kazeem who is a mechanic has a phD? Imagine if your office janitor is a CFA holder? He would surely add more value to that role. Highly qualified citizens of their country would never take up such roles but they are able to lure immigrants to do this for their own selfish benefit.I do somewhat agree that the country has been demarketed to an extent, but the stats show that things aren't working as fine or as they should. For instance, if the country had a similar GDP growth rate as in 2012, most people would not japa. In fact, that period witnessed droves of Nigerians returning from the abroad, especially the UK and environs. Some of the reigning entertainers returned during that period. As for taking advantage of qualified citizens from developing countries, it makes sense to the host country. P.S. No Nigerian CFA holder would be a janitor in the abroad sha. But I get your point. 3. Less successful wives of successful men. The new trend is that the children are nolonger secure in Nigeria once the man is the bread winner. These short sighted men buy into the ploy but at the heart of it is just the quest for economic emancipation for the woman, at the expense of the man if need be. A female medical doctor would never relocate to become a carton packer abroad. She would rather tarry till she gets something more rewarding and of equal or higher status. Once she gets this, she has no problem with her high status husband resigning to become a forklifter abroad while she thrives in her white collar job under the guise of securing the future of the kids. I have seen this in my own family. It’s a ruthless game of power exchange.First thing, ALL Nigerian elites have second passports, especially of countries in the West. So, if middle-class Nigerians aspire to get the same, I don't see anything wrong with it. This brings to my earlier point that some of the wives of most successful men cajole or coax their husbands in supporting them to birth children in jus soil countries so that the children possess a different nationality, which is superior regarding global migration. In other words, having more options. Human needs are insatiable. Humans would always aspire for more. This is something wives of oil companies' staff (permanent staff) and C-suite staff did during the heydays of high oil prices. Again, every Nigerian elite or upper-middle-class person has another passport, stronger, other than the Nigerian one. Middle class Nigerians are simply copying what those above them do. No more do I say, it is now we will do as you do.. I have written about it here extensively: https://www.nairaland.com/7482300/importance-acquiring-second-passport-young#119276976 4. Be careful who you listen to online because there are many anti state actors. Some are members of terrorist groups, others are aggrieved because their candidates lost the elections, etc. An account of the state of things from such people would definitely be different from that of a patriotic citizen. The danger here is, you slowly become what you read and so many people are being converted on a daily basis by those with an agenda. Yes things are hard but it has always been the case.First, Nigeria is just a mere geographical expression - Awolowo. The phrase "patriotic Nigerian" is an oxymoron. It does not exist. Nigerians pledge allegiance to their ethnic groups. Also, it is perfectly fine for some ethnic groups to have grievances against Nigeria. Nigeria's history is replete with ill-actions against some ethnic groups. 5. Losers who have squandered their lives. When this bunch were in school, they were the cultists etc and they graduated with poor grades. When they see that their mates are far ahead of them, of course the country would be useless in their eyes. They would gladly throw thesmselves at any opportunity to level up abroad in a bid to catch up.That is a brash term to label people who want to better their lives. One, not everyone can be a high academic achiever. In fact, the surest route to leave Nigeria is via studies, and the highest chances of being sponsored as a scholar are for those who excel academically. Two, people have different goals in life. Three, some persons have lost capital and the best way to recoup is by going abroad to earn foreign income. Nothing wrong with this aspiration. People have the right to better their lives. If the opportunities are limited due to anaemic growth or too much population, and they believe by going outside they will get those opportunities, let them do so. Four, some want to live quiet lives in safe places. Nigeria has gotten unsafe over the past few years. The data is out there to see. Again, almost every Nigerian elite once worked abroad. The link I mentioned is replete with names of now elite Nigerians who worked abroad. Are we saying they were losers? Even their children are based abroad. So, why is it wrong for middle-class Nigerians to do the same? Sure, this is a Nigerian forum, but Nigerians aren't the only ones emigrating. Indians and Chinese are notorious for emigrating. Chinese do so because of the stiff competition due to a high population. For Indians, I don't know. However, I have read a study which showed that over 90% of top academic achievers in the Indian versions of WASSCE, JAMB and university CGPA relocated and now live outside India. The majority live in the US and to an extent UK. Are top graduates from elite IITs losers as well? 6. I refer to this set of people as victims. They aren’t in any of the categories above but they bought the propaganda either due to peer pressure or lack of an independent mind.Sure, this one exists. My submission is without prejudice to those who migrate for legitimate reasons. You make it seem as if the majority who emigrated within the past few years did so illegally. The thing is: migration is human. Humans would always migrate. As I write, there are droves of British doctors (majority white) who are leaving the UK to go work in Australia. In fact, recruiters from Australia organise recruitment shows at hospitals in the UK to lure them. Humans would always migrate. Additionally, there are many young Brits who move to the Gulf States to work and live. In Italy, Spain, Greece and Portugal, it is a long-standing tradition for both high and low academic achievers to move to Germany, Austria and Switzerland in search of jobs. There is something you have to understand here: humans WILL always pursue their economic interests over their rights. If not for growing immigration controls and inventions such as visas and passports, migration would have skyrocketed beyond what it is. |
tensazangetsu20:Sorry, but that cannot be true. Legally or illegally. In fact, it is recently we have more single and married women relocating by themselves. Before now, men emigrate more than women. It is a global phenomenon. |
9ja4live:Interesting... But it makes no sense for a woman to withhold sex from her husband. I am curious, why is it harder to stay away from sex as a married man than when one is single? |
Evolutionary, men are the ones who fight for their families' futures. So, it is not out of place for men to strive for higher heights. However, part of the recent japa is attributed to Nigerian women - wives to successful men. Some of these women even cajole their husbands that they want to birth in countries which offer citizenship based on jus soil. So, it is a catch-22. Humans migrate for different reasons. |
tensazangetsu20:If Tinubu becomes worse than Buhari, then it is a bad stain on his personality. I don't expect anyone to be worse than Buhari. |
Guyana, Namibia, and now Senegal. Hopefully, they use their resources judiciously. They should not have subsidies for refined petrol o, and hopefully, they refine their oil. |
Hannania:Adamux, What do you have to say about this post? I saw that you did not reply it. |
AfeezShomorin:Before Obi, Igbos have always voted for non-Igbo candidates. Or are Obasanjo, Yar'Adua and Jonathan Igbos? How is the vote for Tinubu doing Nigerians now? |
Thank you for this post. It is of deep interest to me. The kind of made-up-clad faces I see on many ladies' faces are scary! I dare say make-up does more harm than good to women's faces. |
Gerrard59:Economic value over everything else. |
Mcslize:It amuses me how black men suddenly discover they have rights when they are in the white man's country. How come you did not display this mentality in Nigeria or Zambia? Why is it that it is when you move to the land the white man built, you suddenly know you have rights? Well, no wonder they are turning right since una wan challenge them on a land they built. If it were the Chinese, they would understand as those who have built theirs. BTW, when are you going to start challenging the Chinese and Arab men? Abi na white man your power reach? |
Usefulsense:The more children a man has, then I can support the decision to relocate at that age since their futures have to have secured. Looking at the Nigerian economy and state of things, it seems you made the right decision. |
Jeje247:Nigerians are sanctimonious hypocrites who care less about others. So far their church is safe, they don't care about the plight of Northern Christians. So far they sleep peacefully, they don't mind if clubs are robbed. But forget there is a phrase called "Night economy". |
onadana:With the increasing house rents there, why have residents not supported security to be beefed up in the area? |
