Akwa Ibom state and many other States in the south south was PDP before, still PDP now and will always remain PDP.
You'll see a mammoth crowd in Uyo today, In fact, the stadium will be filled completely, but don't masturbate yet. I am living in Akwa Ibom and I can assure you that more than half of the people that will fill the stadium today will not vote for buhari. Most of them are there because of Nsima Ekere, the APC governorship candidate, not because they support buhari.
PDP is like a religion in this state, and even though I am a PDP member, I would've enter the stadium if I was in Uyo, at least to go and see what the lifeless dullard looks like.
Pls don't equate the crowd you'll see in Uyo today to votes for buhari. The dullard is widely hated and rejected here. We don't vote based on party sentiments. I will personally vote for Nsima in governorship election, but I will never vote a dullard to rule me again. I know others here who have the same mentality. Akpabio knows how Akwa Ibom people hate buhari, but he must organize a mammoth crowd to deceive the dullard, just to keep saving his neck from the gallows of EFCC.

The reason APC is after Akwa Ibom is simply because of Oil. Since Wike isn't a push over, they want AKS by all means so as to punish Wike by ceding most of Rivers state oil wells to AKS thereby making Rivers state useless.

But if they let the presidency slip off their hands in February to the PDP. brother, trust me, it will be a landslide victory for all PDP states and some other PDP strongholds controlled by the APC now. So, the joke is on them.

He's not a forgotten chapter. He just lost trust amongst his trusted allies and friends in the Ibibio circle of Uyo senatorial district. They feel betrayed by his actions.

He just caved in to the pressure from the APC & EFCC. I just pray it doesn't turn back to hunt him. He's just being used to divide the votes in the south south come 2019, once he can deliver, I don't think he will be useful to them anymore.

His bad mouthing of Buhari in 2007 & 2015 on the WAEC certificate can't be quickly forgotten...Lol. The North never forgets. Na my man till tomorrow but I just pray it doesn't hunt him.

I know most of the agencies that were involved in spreading the fake news. Those news agencies, social media made millions of naira paid by politicians to smear his govt.

Akpabio is busy bribing councillors, chairmen of LGAs, ward chairmen and PDP stakeholders with N5million and N10million with new jeeps to defect to APC in Akwa Ibom. After telling Buhari that so far 260,000 people have defected to APC since he joined.

Hon. Emmah again? This man don carry this life go APC. One of the most desperate politician I've known. Cross his path and you're done for. I wonder how the people let him get into power, reason I don't trust the youthful guys at all. Most of them belong to one cult or the other.

So the national chairman can't setup a reconciliation committee to look into this issues?

The APC are taking these defections lightly. Fake or not fake news, rumours have a little truth in them.

Confraternities in Nigeria should grow beyond violence, rape, kidnapping etc. I don't understand how a confraternity that has been in existence for 40yrs will still involve in such acts. Stop the initiation of teenagers into this confraternities.

It is now that APC is actually trying to feel what it means to be a political party. Before 2015, people with selfish interests came together to unseat Jonathan; it wasn't really and has never been a progressive party. Immediately the aimed was achieved, selfishly, sharing the loots became their next aim. Now the selfishness, and most importantly, lack of internal cohesion is fast tearing them apart. I doubt if there is any state chapter of the party as it stands today that is trouble free.
If care and conscious efforts are not taken, By 2023, APC will cease to exist. That if they manage to scale through, successfully, the hurdles before them now, 2019 elections.

Saraki, Kwankwaso & Tambuwal gave the APC victory at the 2015 elections through their defections.

In my area, state govt had contracted Gitto to build a new road for a village that had no road at all. Contractors had moved to site, workers, equipments and all. I was shocked when youths blocked the contractors, seized their equipments and even beat up some of the workers. When I enquired about what happened, I was told that the chief had ordered the youths to demand for 20million from the contractors before starting work which the contractors had settled the chief 2M and youths 1M before proceeding to site.

I knew from that day that there's something wrong with us as a people.

I'm an Akwa Ibom person and I can tell you first hand that even in my LGA Eket, you will see more of these things happen during this period. Its people going where there is money...its all for the money here.

Forget what you see online, go to the streets and find out.

That's Nigerian politics for you. But I really appreciate those who stick around people, party irrespective of what is being offered to them.

Politics is a game of strategy, critical thinking and not based on sentiments or emotions. Tinubu knows he's up against a sound politician like Atiku whom they are best of friends. He is not foolish to show his pack of cards like Oshiomole does...

It was so rampant in Godswill's tenure.... Udom is a man of peace but kinda lil slow in development (Which I may not know his reasons)

The infrastructural development recorded under Godswill Akpabio was as a result of PDP being at the center of power (GEJ Presidency). So it was quite favourable for him then. He could easily meet with GEJ and discuss things concerning the state.

For Akwa Ibom to witness the kind of development it had under Godswill Akpabio would mean Udom has to decamp to the ruling APC for it have special consideration from the top.

It was an embarrassing scenario today at Afaha Offot. Very very embarrassing.

Oshiomole should at least guard his utterances most of the time. This is politics not a labour union election, they are no enemies nor friends only interests.

He never would have thought that the same man he called 'Murderer' last week would be the same person he would seek for his help yesterday.

This is politics. None of the parties APC & PDP would have ever thought they'll need Omisore to help them win an election.

Personal experience: I've witnessed massive crowd in my LGA turn up for a chairmanship candidate. His campaign was the most talked about, but on election day, all his delegates and supporters voted a different candidate entirely.

This is after he has given each delegates N180,000 each (2 from each ward). It was painful I won't lie. You can't read peoples minds, do your best but trust no one.

With all their policies and strict rules. Boys still blend confra for the school. A school that doesn't allow students carry phones.

Sadly, the younger ones are celebrating these defections.
