COOLDUN: No one is claiming saint here my friend, if it happens like that you too is not exempted, if you are not from the devilish ruling class.

Before you call all the nairalanders/Nigerians you must first of all trace the origin of these exploded criminal attitudes of Nigerians. I am not in support of crime/criminals, but the way you sounded in your comment shows that you are among the criminals in Nigeria also. Those who made life hard for people through bad governance, make crimes and violence possible in Nigeria.

Bible made us to know that we should suffer witches/wizards not to live. The ruling class in Nigeria has openly made the less privileged Nigerians to know that, they are their enemies, so they should not expect anything but curses and evil wishes from the masses. I used to read many hypocrites saying ordinary mouth prayers for the sick rulers, in pretense of, you should pray for your enemies, arrant nonsense. If you know what to do to save rulers in Nigeria, better let them know that Nigerians are no longer happy and comfortable with their lives and existences as rulers in Nigeria.

The time of pretence is gone. No one is a saint, but the politicians never include their imperfections in their electoral speeches and promises. They never told Nigerians that they are criminals during their campaigns, they did not tell Nigerians that 1billion naira is not enough to feed them and their elephant children during their campaign, neither did they tell Nigerians that they will spend billions of naira for the importation of generators, while they assured them of constant power supply when elected into office. They never told Nigerians that they will be frequenting German and India hospitals at any slightest head ace when voted into power.

They never told Nigerians that their children will be sent to Togo, Benin, Ghana, Burkina Faso, India and Malaysia for studies when they are voted into power. They never told Nigerians that without constant increment of fuel prices, they cannot rule the country during their campaign. They never told Nigerians that any strike or call for transparency in the Oil sector would lead to an artificial fuel scarcity as the punishment for asking how their oil industry is run. They did not tell Nigerians that the Tokumbo private jets will replace the cars when they are voted into power. They did not tell Nigerians that cars above 8 years will not enter Nigeria, while the airplanes that are above 70 years will be imported into Nigeria without being disturbed. They did not tell Nigerians that the best way to handle criminals and terrorists is to negotiate with them, and settle them with too much money, and lucrative contracts, even giving them licenses to import arms for our military.

Guy in fact you and your co government officials in Nigeria, are not supposed to be met as the first persons in the early mornings. Keep on waiting for good will prayers from the Nigerians ok.
You write intelligently, but you are not.

PoliticsRe: British Politician Chides Nigerian Press For Their Negativity by getukudo(m): 12:43am On Dec 04, 2012
What the baroness said is nothing far from the truth! So why are we attacking her? Most Nigerians live a sad and hateful life, they never want to see anyone progress. Sadly, with this mentality they pass it onto the younger generations and it goes on and on, feeding them with negative thoughts. Nigerians need to change their views about their country, until then we will still have different govts but with people who grew up with negative thoughts, we need to change ourselves first and that starts from the bottom not from the top.
TravelRe: The Growing Beauty Of Lagos (pics) by getukudo(m): 1:13pm On Nov 28, 2012
ROSSIKE: What are you talking about? You never look at buildings in Manhattan and say ''I wonder if they're owned by Americans''. Why would you even think in such a way? Ludicrous. Any facility erected in Nigeria de facto belongs to Nigeria. It's not as if anyone can say ''I'm going'', and carry a skyscraper along on his plane!!! In any case there is rarely ever a single 'owner' of such huge structures as they're mostly arranged via joint ventures of various kinds, collaborations among banks, financial institutions, investors, govt, and all sorts of complex leasing arrangements. So it's pointless asking who 'owns' anything.
@ROSSIKE Very on point!! I think he go the whole idea very wrong. Its like saying all the buildings in USA are owned by Americans forgetting the fact italians and latinos run most of the businesses there. Very blurred way of thinking. Sadly a majority of Nigerians think this way. I think we should start appreciating our country more, take a trip to Calabar (My city) and see for yourself.

They have been there before AC-N took over power! In addition, there are no single government /public property in the images posted...all are private investments.

What worst about living in Lagos? Ask the residents of Aba the condition in which they live in, that's what I call 'Worst city' to live in Nigeria. Okada is banned in Lagos and pple are screaming that hell will be let loose. If Lagos was the 'Worst city' as you agree it is, then the increasing population doesn't show that. And you open ur filthy mouth to say its the 'Worst city' to live in. Maiduguri, Damaturu and even Aba are the worst cities to live in going by the conditions your site in which you've approved it is 'Authentic' is giving. Mtscheww! Na here u wan come speak english!

Theblessed: But, how did they manage their mobility before the emergent of Okadas, in Lagos?

Abi, didn't they use to walk, ride bicycle, catch taxi or Molue to their respective locations? And what's the difference, now Okada has been banned?

Could it be that the roads had got longer and the distances between locations increased over-night e.g. the distance from Apapa to Ikeja - has it increased since the Okada ban?

These are queries they have to answer in order to appreciate the govt. plan for Lagos.

40000000 likes!!! God go bless you well well!!!! U wan follow these children. Nigerians will and would always complain about everything...change yourself first! More work, less complain! A common trait in Lagosians! They nag about everything!

aca77: And what inconveniences have d governor himself or the honorable members in the state assembly volunteered to endure? Or is it only ordinary Lagosians that know how to endure hardship?

Some of the comments here are surprising and funny dou. I think car owners, nigerians abroad, and other privileged people have no right to comment on this issue. Let only ordinary poor lagosians comment, but then most of them do not have regular access to internet, talkless of nairaland, so we would never hear thier painful experience here. It would be interesting to know how many people who go to work everyday by walking several kilometers under the sun and rain, standing shamefully at crowded bus stops for several hours actually support this policy. It is only their opinions that matter because they are the ones that feel it most. Those of us who own cars or live abroad or whatever should just keep our arrogance to ourselves and stay out of it.
Are you for or against the policy?

I totally support your stance on car owners and the more priviledged ones to shove their complaints down their hairy asses. But my question is above...

This is what an average Nigerian is "iliterate politician". You all come here and spit rubbish!
