What if driving bus is his destiny and or maybe will break through from it?

If at that age he's adamant about this bus thing, how about allowing him have another shot at it?

I had a feeling he will abscond from the new job even before the OP completed the story.

What if his destiny is tied to bus driving or am I hallucinating?
Then he must do something else to get money or earn a living.. it might be from this very construction job he would get connection to having sm1 give him a bus for higher purchase or delivery.
Me as a person.. I won't give him a bus cos he lacks the seriousness needed to be convinced to give him a job..
Personally his problem is not physical neither is it psychological as I may have assumed
But he's been wired spiritually to think he will make it from transport business... let me ask why hasn't he seen a bus to even work with as a conductor all this while...
I grew up in the ghetto...I saw how some guys in the hood graduated from conductor to drivers...
This guy lack motivation to succeed .
He's laid back.
My brother na me persoally decide go dey do pounpoun(labourer) work in those days ooo.
My mum was against it.
I tell her say shebi na my hand I take dey use go do the work say mk she no worry...
I became a source of envy n encouragement to my friends that they had to follow me to jakande estate then to do labour jobs..
I wasn't lazy... I love money n I went out all the way to work for it.
My biggest regret was not learning that plastering n blocksetting thing then.. I was focused on getting into university.
Otherwise them for don dey call me engineer tayo since na..
What's the point am making?
This dude is laid back..
He must go look for another job even if na labourer job..
Manna won't come to him
That time sef... I go sangotedo looking for where they were building new houses to look for job.....

I'm actually talking about here in SA, how do you Nigerians buy your goat meat? Because I don't think we do have the meat in our food stores.

And for your information, I love fish.. grin grin grin... Both fried and tinned fish, but I don't consider it as our native food, hence I didn't post it... It kept me alive during my University days..😂😂😂.. we usually call tinned fish campus food.. grin grin grin

I think our love for meat comes from our Khoisan ancestors because they're well known hunters, but I still haven't seen any Nigerian food without meat.
Not all our food have meat ooo..
Have u seen yam n egg.. plantain n beans or bread and beanshuh?
Canned fish... student food.. It was all for survival tho..
Anytime anyday u will pick meat to fish if offered the choice.
The goat is bought from goat sellers...and shared by those interest...prolly like 4 people will buy a goat n share it.
It's even available in Nigerian foodstuff shops in joburg...
Go to Nigerian mall.. they got it in their chest freezers.
Romance › Re: Five Of Every Ten Young Ladies Are Single Mums, This Is Sad!! by ghettochild(m): 11:04am On May 23, 2023
dboY1123:
I notice this particular thing, two out of every six ladies I meet are very young single mums with ages between 20-25.

I met one recently again and when we had this deep conversation she opened up that she's a single mum, and she showed me her 2 years old son's picture. The saddest part is that, all of these young single mums are into hookup, or lowkey olosho.

What is the cause? is it advisable to date or have se* with these single mums, cz I don't see it as the right thing to do. At least 3 of them had visited me, but immediately I know or they tell me they had a baby, I lose interest in them and I never had anything sexual with them infact I cut them off.

Our girls can do better than spreading legs like WiFi, and they should know if the guy is responsible.
We are going the south African way..
That means our men are not capable of marriage

I still use the apps sometimes. 2go was among the first real time and enjoyable social media that came out.

I noticed there's some updates they've made. CHATGPT is now added and it has help alot in My quest for answers to questions.

I think the only crime of 2go was coming out of Africa. Africans can't boost their own thing. The Africans dumped 2go when WhatsApp was released. That was the sad reality.

Again, 2go was just too dull in their update , it's now they're trying to bring in features that other platform had long before now.

A clarion call to nairaland, they should do the needful or this is how it will be abandoned in due course.
Even with what am seeing down there..
2go has since not improved

I want to understand something, when you buy your goat meat, do you buy it in a supermarket or you have to buy a whole complete live goat and then have it slaughtered?

Because I don't think our supermarkets have goat meat, or maybe I don't pay attention, I don't know... So far when you see a South African eating goat meat, it was bought alive and slaughtered.

I've never seen Nigerian food without meat in it, so I'm surprised when you guys keep saying we love meat too much in SA.
We eat fish as well n ya all don't fancy it that much. U prefer meat anytime anyday...most of the packaged fish sold at OBC are been bought by foreigners and it doesn't move(marketing&sales) like meat does.
Concerning whether in Nigeria we buy goat meat whole(live) or in batches..
I'd say both..
For those doing business of cooking goat or using it daily. They buy in batches or they buy a whole goat n have a butcher come to their kitchen to kill it.. or they kill from the abbatoir or where the goat seller does slaughter n resell.
I remember making some Girl bck in 2018 like hake fish..
Cos I usually fry it n it taste nice n crunchy..
And I don't think she's ever personally cooked it
That one..like nigerians till thy kingdom come
Even has a child for a Nigerian now.

Samantha124:
Maybe it's because I don't eat it, hence I don't pay much attention to it... It's mostly eaten in villages because goats are plenty there.

And sometimes I blame my mother because she neither eats goat, beef, pork, or mutton and as children, we always wanted to eat what she eats and not eat what she doesn't eat.. grin grin grin... So growing up, she stopped cooking such dishes in the house and we grew up not eating them.. I only started eating beef when I was a teenager and now I love it so much.

And of course, most Pedi ceremonies can't be complete without a goat, but they'll be chicken for those who don't eat it.
Well like others had said goat meat isn't cheaper buy I was actually talking about the entire goat not a pound or kilo..
All the same the goats and sheeps are cheaper to buy here in South Africa than a cow..
The reason we buy sheep for smaller occasions and buy meat from spar to supplement it or even add wors.. mostly cos we are inviting fellow south African friends.
Well all south Africans love beef...
I repeat all except vegetarians..
It's as if in ur previous life time.. ya all were deprived of meat or during the apartheid regime... ya all were deprived of it..
Well am only trying to buttress how much South Africans love meat in any form.

I don't eat goat meat and it's like you guys love goat more than beef.

How do you guys get goat meat here in SA because it's like none of the SA shops and restaurants sell it? But I could be wrong.
There is. I still ate it bout 2 weeks ago...with peppersoup.
When I was teaching in KZN...(Harding). I used to see goats at the goat stall in town ready for sale.
Also back in jozi(randburg) there's a place that people eat goat meat along with sizzling pap right there on the table of the seller( ur South African Brothers)

Even though I've never seen Nigerian food in real life, I've seen some in few of your movies, on YouTube and here on nairaland... That thing looks like mashed potatoes... You even call it swallow because you don't chew it, you just swallow, meaning it's way too soft to chew.

Your side dishes always seem too oily and what surprised me is that you guys can cook three different types of meat in one pot at the same time.. How are you guys able to taste each flavour of the meat when cooked altogether?

I once watched a video whereby a Nigerian was cooking goat, chicken, and fish altogether and I was like whaaaathuh😂😂😂😂
You are missing alot... u need to taste it to better understand what am describing...
