Go to Dosunmu market at Idumota. I don't know how to describe the place you can just ask the market people for directions or type Dosunmu market in the nl search button, a mama once described the place. If you have a visible bump the annoying women would find you once you set your foot in any part of that market. Allow them to lead you to Dosunmu market, then ask for little me store, that's where I bought most of my stuff but you can also check other shops around there. Don't buy from the annoying women that would be following you like flies, they would cheat you.

As for disposable nappies, is it Alphahandmaiden that sells it and she has good reviews.

Did you note the time you administered the first dose of paracetamol?

You should have been told at the hospital to administer the paracetamol every 4 or 6 hours. Check the instructions on the leaflet and administer another dose based on the instructions.

High temperature in babies should be taken very seriously and anything should be done to avoid it.

I've been administering every 4-5 hours since 12noon

Do you have pko (palm kernel oil)? I apply Pko on my DD's body after administering paracetamol, it helps to bring her temp down.
I know the weather is cold, if possible close your windows, remove her clothes and leave her on diaper only.

MIL just said if the fever doesn't go down soon she'd apply palm kernel oil, she knows I hate it cuz it stains clothes but this time I didn't even argue. Anything to pursue fever

My baby has been sleeping on her belly since her cord fell off, and that was a week after I birthed her. I don't think there's any problem with it, let other mamas chook mouth too sha

There's a chance of them suffocating while on their tummy if you ain't there to watch them. Babies love to sleep on their tummy sha, but they are safer on their backs.

It was 38.1 when I made my last post but I gave her paracetamol and it went way down, now she's getting hot again and it's 37.7. I'd def try the tepid sponge tingy (after I google it ) don't want her getting too hot.

The long awaited fever is here, what do I do, what do I do, what do I do, how can I transfer the fever to myself and give her my normal body temperature, chai and she's still smiling in her sleep. I feel soooo sorry for her.

I hate rub, is it not too hot to be putting inside someone's anus . My My baby does the same thing yet when she finally poops it's the same almost watery poo so I'm not too bothered by it. I think all babies struggle to poo, you should only start to worry if the poo doesn't look right.

I need your help and advice.
My two weeks old and some days baby would not just sleep in the night. Like starting from 10pm till like 4am.....he won't sleep, he would be crying. When I breastfed him, he would do as if he is sleeping but once I put him to bed, he start to cry . I can rock him for hours. He won't blink an eye. He can breastfeed like 2 hours at a go.
Its frustrating. I hope someone can relate with what I'm saying. Please what can I do.
I thought new born will just eat and sleep.
And also the way his nose sounds like someone that has catarrh but nothing is coming out from the nose oooo.

Are you sure he's getting enough to eat from the breast. Try expressing to be sure it's not hunger keeping him awake and so that someone else can take him sometimes while you sleep. Also do you bath him at night, my baby sleeps long hours after her morning and night baths. Pele, hopefully this phase would soon be over. As for the breathing, it's normal for them to breathe this way for the first few months

Ask when you go for Rota. There's still 10 and 14 weeks so she should be fine sha. Give her the pcm. The effects don't kick in immediately so it's best to pre-empt as much as possible

She also spat up massively about 2 mins after taking the oral vaccine, the nurse said there was no need to re-administer it as she might not have thrown it all up, is that how it works?.

It hasn't been easy taking care of a hyperactive toddler and a demanding baby,may God strengthen me.
My fellow team #April 2017# hope we and our los are good? Hope they are sleeping, eating and playing well? Be reminded about our third TT injection to be taken 6months after the second one, I took mine in December and due for the next one, so my fellow teamies calculate when you took the last one and remember to go for the third, note that if you take the five doses complete you are covered for life whether you get pregnant after or not. So pls let's endeavor to go take it in this month.
Some of us didn't share our birth stories haba pls share and let others learn one or two things from there,even if they no learn share for the fun and joy you brought to this beautiful world its well ooo.

I just bought the panda paracetamol syrup and the recommended dosage starts at 3 months-1 year. Is there another one I should have bought cuz my baby is six weeks old.

Have been offline since my last post. In fact, that yellow huggies is exactly what she was using when the rash started. Please discard that diaper, it finished my dd bum.
She is 13 months now. I was using Nigerian pampers and Moflix and other gift diapers i received when i put to bed, I never experienced diaper rash. After her one yr birthday i switched to that yellow huggies and you need to see what i battled with sudocream before i decided to try another diaper and viola, d stuff disappeared.
Won't try that stuff again on my kids.

Present cappo, just waking up. Am fine by his grace. Jesus get me big time, he promised never to abandon me on dz journey & truly he was too faithful to fail. Testimony time : i went 4 anc today, I was having malaria symptoms so I said make i go see my gynae, dh followed me so no apriko for tfare, he carried me straight to hospital. After complaining to doctor dh said if possible dey should admit me & treat me so dt i wont develop malaria proper. Na so d doctor said no problems dt he ll give me infusion wt antimalaria dt i should go & lie on the bed. I was gisting wt dh while the infusion was going on na so my tummy come dey change shape, see contractions. Chineke I was shouting like mad woman dt my date z far dt am entering labor. My baby was kicking around as if something dey pursue him. Na so i remove the drip myself dt i don't want again. D nurses were like i should have waited for doctor to come dz that, madam i ttc for 23 tearful months to get dz baby so I don't take chances with dz pregnancy. My sisters na so doctor came & guess what na pitocin dey put for drip instead of arthemeter. I no fit shout na so i carry my self go home. Heaven knows i wont cross dt hospital again, the contraction has stopped went to scan to know if placenta detached but everything is still intact. Biko team July join me praise God

Chineke meh, this is how they go and kill people then start lying up and down. Tufia! Someone needs to atleast get suspended over this kind of mistake. If it's that kind of Hosp where you can make a report to a higher authority, please try and do it. Thank God for your life.

It's not an emergency but you could go to the Hosp later today and get checked. Congrats, your baby is now a few days or less away.
